What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Airtable daily for 5+ years now and were blown away with the number of potential use cases for streamlining all areas of business. We are currently using it for Project Management, Accounts, Marketing and Internal Comms. The service has came a long way since we first started using it and comparing it to competitors & alternative software it is in a league of its own.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not uncommon to encounter roadblocks when creating bases, however there are always workarounds. The support team and online community are great in providing solutions and assistance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Communicating and disseminate accurate information from one source fo truth to all of our stakeholders.
- Implemted an internal invoicing and ordering system

I've loved almost everything about Airtable!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to use and teach. I've spent the past 3 years learning the more advanced parts of the tool but I picked up the basics really quickly. I also love the wide-ranging capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was super frustrated when I set up an email-based Airtable automation that ultimately went out from "Airtable Automations" instead of my email address. I learned I missed a "see more options" button far too late, which may have cost me recruits for critical user research.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enabled me to build out several interfaces for underlying databases that would have overwhelmed my clients almost immediately. They went on to share their experience with us and with our interfaces, which led to more business.

Can do (nearly) everything you ever needed from a spreadsheet

What do you like best about the product?
I use Airtable for everything – literally from content management to planning my wedding. My team has an enterprise-level account, and it gives us access to some really great features like automations, exclusive view styles (like Gantt charts and timelines with dependencies) which makes this platform one that's user-friendly but able to grow with each user. It's like if SmartSheets and Trello had a baby. If I could use this platform for task management (users CAN, just my team doesn't), I honestly think it would be my daily one-stop-shop for my content marketing work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some pretty serious limitations if you aren't willing to pay to play. It's useable, but you'll notice the limitations. I wish that the automations were compatible with the task management system my team uses so that things were a bit more seamless – right now, we have automations built in Zapier that move tasks from intake through to Basecamp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team can keep track of deliverables, product offerings, even freelancers and previous interviews we've conducted in Airtable. Instead of random folders full of files or lists, we can access this info anywhere we have internet and easily digest the information in each base.

Airtable's helpful uses in a post-secondary setting

What do you like best about the product?
I love that, as a person who's not typically considered very tech-savvy, I can use Airtable with ease for a variety of purposes. When I started my current position, there was already a large Airtable database which I needed to dive right into. It was a little daunting at first, but I found the Airtable interface extremely easy to navigate. A few months later, I was tasked with migrating that system into a brand-new Airtable setup and found that process easy as well.

For our purposes, we collect a lot of student data, as well as information about scheduled events, event registration, appointments, and projects students are working on. Some of these tables have thousands of records, with 50+ fields of data about each. The ability to filter, group, hide and sort in personalized views has been incredibly valuable as everyone on our team has different needs with that data - and for many of them, the sheer volume of information can be overwhelming at times. It's nice to have the option to simplify things for those people without removing the information entirely from the base.

Airtable has integrated with so many platforms including Calendly, EventBrite, Outlook, FillOut and Luma - and for anything that wasn't as easy to correct directly, we've been able to find a workaround using Zapier.

I check various parts of our Airtable multiple times a day. I love having all the data right in front of me, without needing to go to multiple sources and make the connections myself. I also love the additional features which have been introduced since I first started using it, such as dual-sync. So many of the things which were initially pain points have evolved over time, so you know they're great at listening to their customers' feedback. I'm excited at how far the Interfaces have come since they were first introduced, and can't wait to see what new features they roll out next!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the help articles on their site were kept more up-to-date. Sometimes when I'm searching for a feature, the article will be several years old and the location of a certain menu/button has changed, or it no longer exists.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer tracking, records keeping, data analysis

What do you like best about the product?
I love the automation function - it allows me to take commonly occuring tasks and assign them to myself or others for consistent follow up. Also appreciated is the ability to share views with clients so they can see data in real time. The option to allow them to modify only certain fields is great, too, so comments can be added, triggering an automation to notify me of action needed. The ability to share easily and widely between users and teams is phenomenal. I have it up on my computer constantly to track my projects from start to finish and beyond.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult, at times, to determine the best way to handle a situation (should this be a button, a form, a table?) as there are so many options. I'd like the option to connect with a representative faster who can really understand my ask and suggest the best course of action. Self help articles are good, however since there are so many options, it can be tough to find exactly what I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps a running list of active tasks - many of which are generated through automation. Allows me to share real time data with clients so they can view at their leisure. Also keeps completed data in one place so I can review and sort by the criteria needed to compile client reviews

I use this program for work and also my personal life

  • June 18, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Airtable has so many different types of fields. It is an excellent way to manage projects for work. It is also a great way to manage projects for my personal life. I used it when I was planning my wedding and it was so helpful to be able to group and sort on so many levels. I also like being able to attach different types of media, ability to create multiple bases, and relating the bases to eachother.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the platform was more cost-effective for personal use. It is a little cost-prohibitive for my personal life, so I must use the free version. It doesn't have the same power as the version I use at work, so I know what I'm missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable being cloud-based has solved so many problems for our organization. Being able to access it from home, from the office, or anywhere there is wi-fi has given us the flexibility we need to accomplish our goals. It was also integral in the success of our organization during the COVID work-from-home mandate. We were able to seamlessly transition from working in the office to working from home due to the cloud-based programs that had been implemented the year prior.

The perfect platform

What do you like best about the product?
I love how customizable it is. I can edit fields, views, syncs, filters, automations, and interfaces to fit my needs. The customer support has been quick to respond and very helpful when I've run into snags. I use Airtable all day every day. Without it, I don't know how I'd stay organized!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's great that dual sync now exists but I wish there was a dual sync better with linked fields. Also I haven't found a way to turn the data into a document that fits the specific paramaters I have for that document without just copying and pasting out into a word doc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable gave us a better application system and allows us to track applicants from their first application all the way to completion of their time with us. It gave us a way to store all information in one place in a way that is organized and easy to access.

It's okay but not my first choice...

What do you like best about the product?
It is very clean and accessible via the mobile app.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a lot of data entry and it feels like we're drowning in columns at times. There are limits to its functionality. It feels like a lot of functions/tools are added but some are redundant or not applicable to our use case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps entries in one place and numbers them
