Airtable is AMAZING!

  • June 26, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the versatility and how use-friendly Airtable is. Saves time and money by allowing us to automate otherwise time-consuming tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it could do just a little more without external integrations. Specifically as it relates to a calender and booking of spaces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable helps us collect data from outside data and then complete tasks based on that data. It allows us to route information to the right individuals and ensure a seamless flow of work.

Good tool for workflow automations

  • June 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity, ease of use and available dcoumentation helps in figuring out how your use case can be implemented on Airtable. Additionally, new updates keeps on adding new ways to simplify your workflows and get your desired outcomes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing tier and the limitations that come with it. For smaller workflows, it is one of the best tool available in the market but the data storage limitations prevents its usage for bigger and more complex workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick role out of solutions to the end-user. We're using airtable for conducting POCs and training the end-user on conducting their work activities on digital solutions which were conducted manually or on-paper previously.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Versatile and Easily Navigable, But Problem Pricing Structures

  • June 25, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Airtable for more than a decade to organize projects, and more recently have utilized it as a primary tool to manage organizational operations and processes for my small (<20 people) nonprofit. It's easy enough to learn and navigate as both a builder and user, even without a background in dev. My team, who aren't particularly savvy with new products, love it and were comfortable with the slow rollout we were able to conduct with the tool, making sure everyone was learning only as much as they needed for their use case. It's beautifully designed and easy to organize, and I use the higher payment tier admin panel to add granular permissions that allow my team to collaborate without confusion. Recently, we've also started using it as our primary survey tool which has worked well for both collection and analysis. The automation functions are incredible useful and easy to build, and have helped us decrease our overall time spent doing repetitive admin tasks. I spend about half of my day, every day, in Airtable and am incredibly comfortable doing so.

As an operations person without a background in dev, Airtable has been the exact solution I needed to plug our processes into, and I rave about it to everyone I know. The forums are also packed with incredible user-generated content and advice, and the easiest way to navigate challenges that come up during the building process.
What do you dislike about the product?
In terms of useability, there are few downsides to Airtable. The main one is that there is no effort put into accessibility. As a disability organization, we have staff with visual impairments and other disabilities who need to access our processes, and Airtable has made little to know effort to meet their needs. That means there's not enough contrast in their fonts on either bases or forms, there's no way to increase font size, etc. When I reached out to Airtable support about accessibility, they essentially told me it wasn't a priority for them and they didn't offer anything.

I also dislike their business practices and user support, which is negligible. Their pricing structures, which seem to change regularly, control what features you can access. Like other subscription-based platforms, it can often feel like they're constantly making you pay more for the same features you've used for years, which is disappointing. They also have recently activated Airtable AI, which their free user accounts are not able to opt out of - a shady way to train their tool.

Finally, every time I've contacted either the sales team or customer support, I've had a negative experience. In Sales, I talked to people who can't explain the actual tools, give me incorrect information about pricing, or condescend to me because I'm a woman. In all but the highest tier, there is no customer support to help navigate system challenges. I think if you're a dev expert and well versed in their particular features, this might not be as important, but for ops or project teams considering its use, the lack of support is an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small nonprofit with no IT or dev teams. As the operations manager, developing processes is my responsibility, and Airtable has been my primary tool to do so. Before I joined and introduced Airtable, my organization initiated and conducted all of its work via email, resulting in delays, drops, and missed opportunities. Now, all of our task and project tracking, invoice tracking, conference planning, travel coordination, etc, happen in Airtable. We get far fewer emails, and have far smoother operations as a result.

Airtable has streamlined our marketing project management and improved team collaboration

  • June 24, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Streamlined collaboration and visibility
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable's reporting is useful but lacks the depth and customization of specialized analytics tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is solving the problem of disjointed project management and collaboration across our marketing team. By providing a centralized platform, it allows us to streamline our workflows and maintain a single source of truth for all campaign activities. Additionally, Airtable's shareable calendars and various views enable external teams and stakeholders to see both high-level and granular views of all marketing activities, something that didn't exist within our organization before. This results in enhanced visibility into our marketing projects and improved overall productivity and decision-making.

Powerful Data Management System

  • June 22, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is dynamic and powerful with a diverse set of functionalities.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires active management to reign in data sprawl and keep streamlined
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airtable primarily as a tracking tool to monitor project status, and collect data from individuals typically via the form view. The ease of data manipulation and filtering as well as integrations with MS Teams, Outlook, and DocuSign (via API) have significantly streamlined our internal processes.

A great excel replacement for collaborative needs

  • June 21, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Air Table is a great solution for teams that data that would traditionally be stored in an excel spreadsheet. Air Table is a fantastic way to streamline data and consolidate multiple separate, but similar spreadsheets into one database. Our team loves that the data can be manipulated and shared in multiple views to be shared internally as well as with external partners.

Air Table has an excellent support team and I am always impressed by how quickly their team is able to resolve my questions with speed and accuracy. If I think something can be achieved in Air Table but do not have the depth of knowledge to accomplish on my own, the Air Table team can quickly help me reach my goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Air Table has offered a great solution for many of our data integrity issues but there is still some room for improvements in the visual extensions in page designer. Page design is a little bit clunky to set up and I wish it was easier to use. I feel that sometimes the visual look that would work for my team is better accomplished on the interface design. But interfaces are not printable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Air Table helps remove the need for duplicative spreadsheets in excel and helps protect data integrity by offering one consolidated source for information.

Game changer for organising our data and putting it to work

  • June 21, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has been great for building new processes around our data and moving away from tools like Excel that weren't appropriate for the task.

The ability to link, sync and manipulate data has been a game changer and allowed us to make actionable decisions based on the information we hold.

Being able to use baked in automations as well as Airtable's API has been a great time saver and enabled us to link a lot of our work together in a way that we couldn't previously
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable have downsized recently and as a result of this it's very difficult to get hold of an account manager to query our account or ask about new features.

Recent changes to the platform have slowed down bases with a medium level of size and complexity
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've embedded Airtable across our organisation and are now using it to build large databases of user interaction data, shuttle that data to other tools like Power BI and really get into the business of analysing it and creating actionable insights.

We use Airtable in conjunction with other tools to create user facing portals and interfaces that allow them to complete complex admin tasks that used to require lots of staff and admin time

WSIWIG Software Development

  • June 21, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexiblity it gives me to design my own applications using their interface issue.
What do you dislike about the product?
The creator of the interface can be opening a pandora's box with the development. You need to link about it like you would any software development. You need to scope of the feature, build a roadmap to development and even make time to manage "bugs."

And hope and pray your team uses it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it primary to manage our "tickets" for requests for deliverables. The benefit is transparency across teammates on the status of our projects and any documenation related to the projects.
