What do you dislike about the product?
that it doesn't generate reports automatically
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Donors organization, victims, clients, participants, classes, etc,.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Making it more like Microsoft Databases, where each base can be linked to each other within one workspace, and be able to generate reports and print those reports.

Simple and Effective
What do you like best about the product?
The things it does well (forms and linked data) it does really well and is easy to use. The public/private links are also welcome.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Blocks feature is not that effective, there are some missing features that can cause serious issues like not having file upload limits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We looked at the project to manage a team of 10-20 orgs in a cohort.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is worth looking at.
Airtable
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is flexible and adaptable to any number of possible needs and projects. High versatility and collaborative capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike. I would like more control over the look & feel, but that's secondary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The versatility allows us to adapt our projects and planning fluidly. The biggest benefit is agility and collaboration - allowing teams to share, filter, present, and process data. Simplicity.
Making our small organization easy to manage
What do you like best about the product?
The pre-made templates and ability to only share with sho is needed, add documents and so many other fantastic advantages have really made this the best choice we could have made. Very pleased with how it is keeping us organized and on task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had the opportunity to see anything in particular that I don't like, but I am a little overwhelmed with the options. There's so many possibilities that it is taking me some time to figure out what would be cool vs what is needed right now to get the job done or started.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration between board members of a non profit organization. We are a working board and no devoted paid staff. All of our operations are done remotely, so having an online resource that we can use efficiently is important to keeping us running and helping those we serve.
Has changed our office workflow forever!
What do you like best about the product?
Unlike Excel or Google Sheets, it is very interactive and is wonderful when it comes to helping to organize with multiple contributors.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if they had a chat function like Google Sheets. This would help with workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to organize our Communication Calendar as well as our Grants Calendar. The greatest benefit is that it allows us to be able to track multiple areas of the organization simultaneously.
Fantastic Tool for Collaboration and Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is like Google Sheets on steroids! I love the ability to clearly manage our internal processes as we review applications, layout project timelines, and track progress throughout. The platform is very user friendly and has a ton of great features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I dislike is that you can't embed an editable sheet on a webpage. We do a lot of reviewing of products, and it would be ideal to be able to limit readers to specific views and not give them access to the full base. We've had to utilize outside software to complete this task, which isn't ideal, but it is still very strong otherwise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a nonprofit arts organization with a good deal of programming, we rely on Airtable to aid in project review and management. We accept nearly 500 submissions through Airtable, and have readers review those projects. Once selected, we utilize Airtable to aid in the planning and execution process, as well as tracking internal goals and objectives.
AirTable is the solution I was looking for
What do you like best about the product?
As a grant writer for an urban charter school with a robust fundraising program, I was looking for a platform that would help me track the many aspects of proposal writing ... deadlines, programs, donations sought, received and denied, etc., all in an easy-to-use format with multiple ways to see information. Airtable offers an affordable solution with the ability to do all of the above, and more!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! I'm a beginner user, so I plan to spend time learning more about all of Airtable's features. I was happy to find that I could import my data quickly into the the platform and start using it right away, even without the taking time to dive into the tutorials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proposal writing is complex and deadline-driven. I need to be able to see at a glance a lot of information about potential funders quickly and efficiently. Airtable is benefitting my work and even makes it fun to keep track of everything. What was once very burdensome is now a seamless process.
Powerful, flexible and easy-to-use
What do you like best about the product?
After testing and/or using several project management tools, we finally decided for AirTable. It is really a great tool: powerful, flexible and easy-to-use. The fact that its core is a sort of spreadsheet is a brilliant idea: it makes the tool incredibly flexible compared to other project management tools. It is very simple to customize it to specific needs. It is also very powerful thanks to the different views and blocks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, the only feature that I miss is that changes in starting/ending date do not seem to automatically impact on those of dependent tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airtable for project management and team collaboration. It allowed us to have more precise tracking of tasks, better organization of our project, to easily switch between different time scales (short-term vs long-term objectives) and to use hybrid project management methods (agile + waterfall)
A Gamechanger & Dynamic Relational Database App for the Spreadsheet-Challenged
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has been a true game-changer! I've long been looking for a way to cross-link/cross-reference information and be able to quickly, easily, and dynamically "visualize" the same information in a variety of ways. For someone incredibly inept at Excel, Sheets, and virtually any spreadsheet, I've been able to dive into Airtable and create rather complex databases, complete with formulas, and even with multiple Zapier connections! As a startup nonprofit with a small budget and even smaller person-power, Airtable has been revolutionary.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps the most inconvenient aspect is the inability to work offline, as with something like Notion. There are some limitations, such as cross-referencing other bases, or moving entire tables between bases, as well as with some cross-connection capabilities and formulas. The UI for expanded records is also visually confusing at times/not easy to read/navigate. Notifications are also a bit basic and can become overwhelming and hard to manage if there are multiple members on multiple bases communicating. I'd love to see the team communication become more dynamic as then it would make task-based project management far more of a possibility. But the Airtable is nothing if not determined to consistently update and improve the application—I have no doubt they will continue to expand features and functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everything from using a base for an entire employee hiring process, from embdeded application form, to additional survey submission steps, evaluation, and more, to donor management, project management, data collection and processing, digital media organization, and more. Airtable has even helped with processing information that will end up outside of the app itself—if someone needs spreadsheet-based information from me, but require the end product be in Sheets or Excel, I pull it all into Airtable first, process it with formulas, cross-relations and everything Airtable makes SO much easier, then export it out! :) As a very small (like one person small) startup nonprofit, Airtable has made the compiling and processing of large amounts of information possible and far more labor-intensive than any other method, platform or application. And when the workload of an organization is way above its person-power, every minute counts!
Organize and prioritize projects
What do you like best about the product?
All projects are visible at a glance and it’s easy to set up different tables for different clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the cells can be tricky to add to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily see things that have yet to be accomplished and what is currently in the works or completed. Collaborate easily while working remotely.
