Great UX, easy to use, great for team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
The clean and modern design, and the helpful templates that can be easily customised. Also enjoy the collaboration capabilities - no crashes yet!
What do you dislike about the product?
Have been a user for 3 months, haven't found anything to dislike yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I set out to create a database with sheets about organisations and people from scratch, and one of the Airtable templates fit the requirements almost perfectly, saving me a lot of time. They are easily customizable. I had never used Airtable before deciding to use it for this project, and the decision was based on another organisation using it to perform a similar task to the one I had. Airtable allows me to structure, organise and visualise a lot of information (text, URLs, dates, prices) in an easy to understand way.

Simple easy-to-setup and easy-to-use database
What do you like best about the product?
The spreadsheet format makes it easy for a person that does not know database query language to be able to create, set up and update tables and for a new person to take over management of the data,. Easy to setup links between tables. Easy to create web forms that can search the tables for data. Migration from mysql was very straightforward. Very nice and simple dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if we could create forms to update existing data. Data can be updated via airtable dashboard or via forms can be created via third party add-ons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintain database for a non-profit organization with all volunteer members that do not have database management experience. We are able to create forms for input data very easily allowing for multiple volunteers to enter new data and anyone person that is comfortable with working with spreadsheets is able to manage the database.
Easy to organize with detail
What do you like best about the product?
I like how thorough I can keep track of my projects on both a micro and macro scale
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike. At first it was a little confusing and I feel most of their introduction was with the intention of suggesting you purchase their additional framework. Instead of provide a filled out template, I think it would be better if there was a tutorial on how to make the templates or provide empty templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the overwhelming feeling I can have when I take on many projects at once. The home screen gives me a lot of perspective letting me look at the whole picture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try and don't hesitate to play around with the different templates even if it means deleting pre-set information, but it will help you find easier faster ways to organize your projects.
So Close to a Perfect Database Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love having an easy to use cloud-based database. I love the various viewing options - it can be like Trello on steroids. I love how easy it is to collaborate and store data and doesn't require a ton of training to understand or use.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest gripe is that despite being called a database, it still doesn't have the most compelling features of a relational database. You can't connect workspaces and the connections between tables within a workspace are pretty limited. Not being able to connect workspaces makes it hard to control which data is shared with different people and keeping workspaces clean. The lack of relational ability limits how useful and dynamic the data is. I also wish the filters were more robust. I would absolutely love even simply BI tools that could easily layer on top of the data and have everything in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airtable to store all of the info on our team members and manage all of our internal projects. It is great because I'm able to easily tie team members to individual projects and see what projects team members have done. I wish I could also create fields that filtered out old vs. current projects, but maybe someday. They constantly add new features, so I'm really crossing my fingers that they address my issues eventually.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just keep in mind that it is not a true relational database, yet (I hope!). It is great for lots of uses, but certainly not everything.
Love Airtable!

Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
We have a unique leadership team and we are thrilled that we will be able to project manage the design of our high school collaboratively.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has been challenging, at times, to get the tech support we need when we need it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management. We are in the beginning phases, but we have all be able to populate our base together, while working virtually.
Great for Editorial Calendaring
What do you like best about the product?
The different views you can set up for various purposes is so incredibly helpful. And it's great for asset-sharing, so everything is in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to add relevant dates to the calendar without creating entries for them, but that's not such a big deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Airtable to plan and schedule our editorial content, including social media. Having everything in one place is making our team more efficient.
Amazing team collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Organization of the data, the software is easy to use, has more visual features than excel, we can share the spreadsheets with the public without giving them the rights to edit (just like Google sheets but Airtable has more cool features making the data look better)
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as of yet! ....................................................
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data storing and organization, team collaboration.

Simple yet Robust for most in-house solutions...
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of entry to start using the platform. Great set of tools to start building out everyday solutions at your work. After a while almost anything can be imagined on the platform. Working for a non-profit that can't afford larger platform databases this has been fun to work with.
Collaboration has worked smoothly compared to other platforms we have used. We were able to bring in interns at our Agency this summer and get them into several of our bases with ease, and were able to check on their work real time.
Nice workspace that allows a team to sandbox their ideas and get instant feedback and help from others.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some missing data structures that would really make this thing shine for the price and features. My first thought is digital signatures for forms. I did send message to help desk so will see their reply on the matter. My Agency just ok'd a subscription from the free so maybe I may find better tools in the blocks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have and are still working on asset inventory, print toner inventory tracking, IT dept. purchases, and have been currently working on converting several Agency forms into Airtable forms to better keep track with underlying database capture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look into your workflows and single out excel files that are keeping track of information. Now throw those at Airtable just to get your feet wet and see how much better it manages that data. Ease of web access, filters, sorts, etc.
Start small and then let your imagination go from there. I have dabbled in Airtable for several years and now and the feature set keeps improving.
