Easy to share graphs and tables with real-time updates
What do you like best about the product?
Looks familiar and is very easy to jump into and use.Simple format, ease of toolbar, sharing ability, real-time updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited capability, cost, lack of popularity. I liked airtable but I wish they were more popular, because the strength is in the collaborative aspects of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Inventory and pricing, social media. Adding weights and stock numbers, tracking ISBNs, sharing with a team. Social media sharing too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Comparable to google products but also easy and convenient if not using google for the project. It looks familiar and is easy to jump in and use right off the bat. It's easy to share info with people who may not have google or MS office.

Airtable
What do you like best about the product?
It’s way less slow and smooth running than google sheets and it allows you more functions such as searching by tag names for different columns
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be confusing to use when you’re trying to attribute values/functions in relation to other columns
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reconciliation of sales
Great customization but one major missing feature
What do you like best about the product?
Whether you start with a template or build from scratch, Airtable has a lot of great features to meet your needs. The ability to toggle views between spreadsheet and calendar is also particularly helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the life of me, I can’t find a way to set up deadline reminders. This seems like such an obvious feature that I fear I’m just missing it, but its absence severely hurts my experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airtable to manage content and contributors across muliple sites. This has made it much easier to create long-term content plans and stop projects from falling through the cracks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Explore templates but don’t be afraid to build upon or customize.
Makes organization beautiful
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature, and one of the main reasons I bought this over the competitors, is the color coding! Items can be easily moved around into different categories, and the shorting and grouping features make it a breeze to compare items!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could invite coworkers to use it without having to purchase another license.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps me get a production schedule organized, as well as our content/editorial calendar.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely the best-designed project/task management software!
Airtable is amazing
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable can function just like a normal spreadsheet that looks beautiful, AND it can add database capability to the spreadsheet. We end up using link to another record feature constantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
"Views" feature gets confusing. Sometimes a bunch of random blank records get added if you're not careful. I dislike that their paid feature is per user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airtable for Inventory management, CRM, sales flow
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try importing a spreadsheet you already have to play around with the features.
Versatile, extendable, colorful
What do you like best about the product?
Once I got the hang of Airtable, I began to use it for everything. For my business, I use a database to keep track of project status, maintain a list of clients, onboard new or potential clients, calculate total revenue, time track, send personalized follow up and referral request emails with SendGrid, and design invoices. I also maintain a database for my podcast production schedule, with an integrated form for guest appearances, and I can use Zapier to send guests directly to my MailerLite account. The calendar view is incredibly useful for planning out my bookings, and with blocks I feel like I can display my data so many different ways. I'm kind of a superfan.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were conditional formatting! Right now I have to use emojis as a visual way to distinguish statuses and that's not my favorite. I'd also appreciate the ability to include formulas in pivot table blocks if possible. I also have to use some fairly creative formulas for some of my invoicing based on days worked, which I wish were a little more intuitive. Finally I'd like a calendar view on mobile as that is the feature I use most often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily scheduling and project management. As a freelance editor, my project timelines aren't always cut and dry, so being able to switch from database view to calendar view is hugely helpful, and I love not having to maintain and update an independent calendar. I'm also able to break down revenue by referral source, type of project, etc., and fine-tune my client selection so that I'm getting the most buck for my bang, as it were.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the trial period to get a hang of features like rollup fields, and make use of the forums if you get stuck.
Good for Event
What do you like best about the product?
Printing receipts!! Made our Gala so easy at the end as we could upload purchases and donations in real time and then just print a donation receipt/record at the end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish we could integrate it with our donor software more (Tessitura)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airtable almost exclusively for our annual Gala. It's been really helpful for keeping us organized before the event and making changes in realtime during the event
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great and inexpensive.
EASY TO USE
What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly. I used to use Filemaker at work, but the subscription was too expensive for the company to continue, and was looking for an alternative. So I like that Airtable is affordable. You can use it as a database, but also a spreadsheet. You can choose which information to be listed in certain grid.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kanban featue cuts off long text. Also, layout option is limited and we are not able to make one as we could in FileMaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am collecting students' record since I work at school. I update their scores on this and use it in order to group students homogeneously.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a much cheaper alternative. It does not do everything that Filemaker do, but it is close enough for the fraction of a price.
Doing the Impossible in 1 hour
What do you like best about the product?
I found that Airtable solves problems instantly. The ability to quickly, and I mean quickly, throw data into it and produce answers is astounding.
What do you dislike about the product?
lacks referential integrity. you can't control that records aren't deleted. many things that I want from a data management syste.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Starting with no knowledge of Airtable I was able to pop the data in, add a map and plot 5000 data points for all my crews working on a big government project. I was able to save myself over $40,000 by being able to prove that other crews caused the trouble and not ours. It only took 3 hours.
More powerful than google sheets, less complex than a database
What do you like best about the product?
the UI is very user friendly but powerful. It gives you most of the features of a real database but hides the complexities of using a database
What do you dislike about the product?
there are some limitations when building more complex queries, like GROUP BYs with WHERE clause. Some can be overcome with some trickery but eventually you might run into hard limits for some edge cases
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
building prototypes. Quick setup time, great UI to manage it
Recommendations to others considering the product:
give it a try, it's very intuitive to use, has good help and support and an active community
