A Wonderful Blend of Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Airtable is it's versatility. With the number of options for column types and automations to manipulate them you can create anything. We use Airtable every single day at my office and it has become the most integral part of our workflows. With how easy it is to build a specifc interface for the users of an app they can see only what you want them to see. Getting it to the right people to implement new workflows is so easy to implement with the offerings here. Its ability to communicate with slack, jira, google sheets makes it extremly easy to integrate into existing systems. Customer Support has always been easy to get a hold of. Not to mention the FAQ and community pages that let you research challenges on your own are very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of using Airtable for myself is how many more connections and tools are offered to me even though my admin doesn't pay for them like the AI tools. I want them and they taunt me!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves our need to track assets and tasks for our processes in a way that is scalable and works with the ever evolving needs of our team.

Swiss Army Knife for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I am able to organize details in a way that separates internal facing vs public facing information. My entire team can manipulate the data in a view that works for them. The dashboard features shortens the time I spend creating reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to keep up with the new features. It would be nice if there were Airtable sponsored linkedin learning classes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, reporting, and working collaboratively in a team. The team can stay in sync and add information at their own pace. We don't have much time to meet so we can just assign tasks and allow people to get to them when they are available.
It works, but is lacking in some key areas
What do you like best about the product?
The table interfaces are pretty intuitive and have a good aesthetic. They are quite configurable as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support is lacking unless you are on one of their highest tiered plans which can be quite frustrating. Simple things like repeating a task at a specific interval (weekly, biweekly etc) requires advanced setup. Other basic features also require advanced knowledge of the platform. Worst of all, all of the bases are independent - there is no way to link bases together. You can link specific fields, but again, this requires advanced knowledge and setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidating information in a single area is helpful.
Great Project Management tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love the depth of features, from information management via database to project management via scheduling and task assignment options.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is NOT the most user-friendly or intuitive. Some of my team struggled to understand how to access records and data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have two primary uses: Maintaining a spreadsheet of contacts to share on our website, and maintaining a database of training programs and resources for staff development.
Airtable for Project Management and Customer Relations
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable offers a lot of customizations, which allowed me to create very specific setups that worked for our team. Airtable offers a lot of very useful templates to get you started, and there are a lot of native features that are free to use that are great.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is definitely a learning curve with Airtable; we've had to set aside a good chunk of time in our team for training of staff who are using it for the first time. While the templates are very helpful, customizing takes a while to set up to get it exactly how you want it. One big downside we've had is that there is no native integration of Airtable forms with any payment services, so we've had to use an external software (Jotform) to create that integration. However, that integration has been easy to set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed an affordable, accessible way to create a workplan for our team, and also track student and customers. Airtable has been great at filling those roles for us.
Best organization and project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
How thorough and customizable it is. You can have projects with as many layers as you want, format text however you want, and create custom apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there could be more linking between bases as I want to keep some things separate so that one base isn't too busy, but can still be related to another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Digital Marketing Management. There are so many platforms, posts, and tasks to keep track of. AT helps us organize everything and see how everything is linked, assign tasks to their respective people, and keep track of progress. It has helped me manage way more effectively.
If Excel Had a Cuter Younger Sister
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable allows me to juggle several tasks at once, without losing data, getting clunky, or boring me to tears. As an artist who entered the tech field, I think data should be visual, dynamic, and engaging. The data should speak for itself - you shouldn't have to read cell by cell to understand what the data is telling you. Airtable allows me to visualize the data more easily, which enables me to do more in my career.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable can can do so many things, it's almost diffucult to wrap your head around it. It would be fantastic if tutorials and webinars were offered with more frequency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to track projects and tasks at a glance - the visual aspect allows for more efficiency.
The no-code automation in Airtable is a game changer
What do you like best about the product?
As a team of Project Managers and researchers, most of the team has 0 experience with coding languages. The no-code automation infrastructure within Airtable makes it possible for my team to automate our processes and update those automations ourselves. This is a game-changer for my team and saves us hours of work each week. The introduction of interfaces and forms has also added value and transparency for our work.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are used to Excel, the column-based formula limitation can be challenging to wrap your head around. Some use cases require a convoluted process to make data display properly, but the ability to display the same data through multiple views and dashboards is extremely valuable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is the primary platform the Customer Feedback team uses to manage operations. From managing our intake and routing process, project tracker, feedback database and submission form, roadmap tracking, bug tracker, automation platform to managing our review process, Airtable is involved every step of the journey. This has not only helped us standardize and increase the efficiency of our processes, but also report and measure the impact of our work.
Great interface and function, but a bit of a learning curve for unexperienced users.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to customize data and bases to whatever use case you have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficulty in getting less experienced users to adopt because of perceived learning curve due to the overwhelming amount of possibilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is serving as hub for our business....acting as a customized and integrated crm and project management tool. I also find myself utilizing for all kinds of random use cases internally and for other clients.
A bit of a learning curve, but incredibly useful
What do you like best about the product?
We use Airtable to track editorial workflow and for project management, with a combination of paid seats and free viewers. So much more powerful and useful than a spreadsheet. We use it daily to keep track of who's doing what and the status of various projects. There's a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it it's an incredible resource.
What do you dislike about the product?
The paid user fees rack up fast, although the $10 credits for new members is nice. I know there are ways to link bases and integrate outside apps that would make our data even more useful, but I don't have the expertise or the time to acquire it. I wish there were Integrations for Dummies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running and building a digital news business requires ways to manage editorial workflow, monitor business development projects and track advertising and sponsorship. Airtable lets us perform all of these tasks in one place rather than using separate software for each.
