Overall positive with a few key caveats

What do you like best about the product?
I love how accessible it is for me to create what I want to create in a short amount of time. I love the automations section, as after a little time with it, I believe it's the most intuitive automation creator out there. I love how wide open the API access is and how easy it is to get api documentation for my base.

I love the interfaces and how versatile they are and easy to use once you learn how to get around.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ease of implimentation is a big pain. There are so many ways to share access that aren't intuative at all to someone new to the platform (workspace, base, interface permissions & where you control those specifically has to be learned with trial/error). Also, many times i've invited people through email or through the link, and they seem to take turns over time for which one won't work.

I hate that you launched the tablet version of airtable, then took it down, only to leave airtable still downloadable on tablets which leads to inevitable confusion when someone tries to use it, and it doesn't work. This leads to janky work arounds where you have to set up browser shortcuts on tablets to get to airtable.

I have a love hate relationship with your development team and how their work goes live, even when certain things become broken in the interum. I'd love for a more stable/classic workflow for these updates to get rolled out all at once instead of bit and pieced. When they added interface capability for grouping in a list view, i remember seeing the option for a day, then not seeing it the next day, then it being re-added a few days latter. All very jaring and not confidence inspiring to what features do/don't work at any given time.

Customer support takes longer than i'd like, but overall seems okay. It would be fantastic to have a live chatbot with someone knowledgeable at all times.

I absolutely detest the pricing structure and feel like it does prey on organizations somewhere between that medium - high employee count. Your pricing structure opens up the doors for your competition (softr, noloco etc) to create different systems that ultimately use your back end data and create different front ends for higher numbers of users to access with editing capabilities. I know with quite a few of your clients, if you changed the structure to have a lower price per user, you would end up losing money, but I bet the organizations which would choose to build exclusively on your platform would go up, therefore giving you more marketshare & revenue over time.

The mobile app is getting better, but I have one glaring issue with it. If you're looking at an interface which has fields that are links from it's main table to another table, and you program a button to be able to add a new record to that secondary table, you CANNOT add it through the mobile app. The button will show up on the browser/pc version, but will not show up on mobile. I've talked with support about this, and they've said its not a bug, but intentional. For our use case, this is very annoying. If I have a service call, and a tech is trying to add products, or service fees to it, he cannot do it through his phone, which is a huge oversite in my opinion.

I believe that 2 way sync should be part of the team plan, as you create situations where a medium organization creates their whole system inside of a single base, then when they grow, you force your customers to re-structure their data to allow more records, which is entirely counter intuitive and takes time & a substantial amount of work that needs to be done live (as at this point, the whole organization is using what you've built).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data at our fingerprings. Before I set-up airtable for our organization, everything lived in separate folders/excel files etc, and compiling even a list of items to order was a huge pain. Airtable (when set up correctly) adds the accessibility and agility of data retreival that we need to be effecient.

It gives us a central hub for all information that is easy to access by anyone within the system.

It's benefiting us in that workflows happen significantly faster with significantly less cognative load which leads to better data & happiness from employees.

What do you like best about the product?
We enjoy the forms feature and the automation feature that enables email notifications. We utilize the tool daily and create views for our team mates. We appreciate the ability to download Csv files, which enables easy data sharing with non-users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface for the workspaces can easily become overwhelming. This can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This creates efficiencies in assigning tasks and workloads. It allows remote teams to function more efficiently and tasks to be assigned to collaborators. It facilitates tracking of progress and due dates.

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is incredibly valuable because it is so customizable - I have gone through and created custom workspaces for teams across the organization, and can easily cater them to each team so that the implementation process is super simple. Additionally, I have worked with support multiple times and they are always quick to respond and quick to offer help and solutions. We've integrated the tool into our every day workflows, using API's to sync data across the organization and continuing to improve our systems. The majority of our team is on Airtable every single day, and it has greatly improved our workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is a hinderance, especially when working in a University system where we have to constantly adovcate for the expense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable manages our organizational tasks, our project lists, our daily television operations, our scripting, and more. At this point, there is a not a single department who does not interact with Airtable in some way.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Airtable is its incredible flexibility. It allows me to tailor my workflows exactly the way I need them, whether I’m organizing complex projects or simple tasks, or collecting research sources. The ability to switch between different views and interfaces makes it easy to manage data from any perspective.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish it had more built-in functions like Excel for advanced calculations and data manipulation. That would make it even more powerful for users like me who need more complex operations and are highly data-literate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task tracking is very easy, and it's also great for project management. I also really like it for managing research and tracking references.

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable makes accessing and organizing complex data a breeze! The recent sync features have been a total game changer, allowing me to seamlessly manage everything. The variety of reports I can generate is incredible, boosting efficiency for me and my team. Airtable is a program that I use all day, every day.

It can be expensive to deploy to a larger team. I wish there were easier ways to print data and form info that I create.

Flexible tool that can solve many problems

What do you like best about the product?
We initially adopted Airtable as a database-replacement, but as they rolled out additional features, we have also built our entire project management system using Airtable. Our colleagues appreciate the simplicity of viewing only relevant information in an interface, while those of us who use it most closely can still tinker in the backend data when desired. In addition, our external collaborators love that they no longer have to log into anything but instead can do everything they need through some emails, links, and forms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes working out how to use the features of Airtable is hard and not intutitive. In particular, using templated interfaces can lock you out of certain interface features, which is quite frustrating. Overall, the many features available in Airtable also mean that there is a learning curve when it comes to using it well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable helps us track multiple complex projects simultaneously, and through automations, reducing the repetitive work involved in each one. This frees up our time to focus in on the things that need human attention - specific challenges that someone is having and development of new resources.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn relational database with great visualization options and sharing permission settings. Integration and extension options super helpful. Fast and helpful responses to specific issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functionality is limited by the no-code/WYSIWYG model, such as using logic to group/sort records in different views. Other issues cause small inconveniences, like defaulting to GMT time zone for emailed form responses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing access to databases with customizable views and permission settings. Receiving, tracking, and scheduling communications content.

A great start for developing business

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable allows small businesses to experiment in a simple way what could be their large-scale operation.
It facilitates the transition from manual or local tools to the different APIs and databases on the web.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still certain limitations compared to a self-managed database. Migrating information or managing data from different databases still requires customized solutions. Currently there is no method to have test databases that can easily migrate their functions to production.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have bases and interfaces for the management of resources and personnel of the company.

We are currently migrating the entire internal ticketing system to Airtable.

It is also the database for one of our no-code products.

The use of interfaces facilitated the rapid digitization of operational processes.

One of the best options, but still not quite what I wish I had

What do you like best about the product?
It's a convenient place for me to organize lots of information in one place, and to have some flexibility in terms of different kinds of bases.
What do you dislike about the product?
I seem to need many "workarounds" to try to get the functionality that I need...and it still can't do some of the things that I want. There are things that require lots of steps and ongoing manual intervention to set up (such as recurring tasks, the ability to "nest" hierarchical work tasks) and some things that I just can't do at all. There is a lot of rigidity in terms of creating visual interfaces or forms that reflect my preferred style. I'm running up against storage limits, which require me to isolate information into multiple workspaces instead of having a nicely integrated system. Costs of upgrading are prohibitive for me as a one-person small business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for ways that are not listed above...for instance, I use it to gather data from community partners and I create dashboards to share the information with collaborators. I would loveto integrate things with airtable more across platforms.
