Powerful and capable, but simple and scalable
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is very aproachable and user-friendly, but can handle very complex data-flows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite interfaces being marketed quite heavily, they still aren't as powerful or scalable as Airtable makes them out to be. They're still a little niche.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is helping my organization to solve fixed asset management. Not having to fight with a system just to do data entry is a huge plus, and Airtable makes not losing that information extremely straightforward.

I didn't want to have to build my own database tool - but if you have to, Airtable is the way to go!
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is flexible, easy to use, but also extensible. I liked that I can spin up fields/tables/records/etc quickly and create relationships on the fly - and also that I can create automations trivially. We now use it daily for my entire team to track our work - it's pretty great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The branding isn't great - the design can be challenging for "non-tech" people, and I don't like that the billing isn't always super transparent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to track long term project/task management, while at the same time connecting that to asset/resource management. I wanted an off-the-shelf solution designed for environmental engineering, but that didn't exist, so I stood up an Airtable instance in a weekend. Now, we know who has done what, where, and with what equipment - basic information, but also surprisingly tricky to identify.
Excel on steroids
What do you like best about the product?
I love the way I am able to manage my workflow in AirTable - it makes it possible to track the progress of our volunteers through our onboarding process, and then to schedule them for their shifts. It allows me to visualize our resources, streamline common tasks, and automate repetitive tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not always know where the various layers of my connect. In addition, it can be tricky to get the help I need when I have to explain the whole base to yet another "ask the expert."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable helps me to track volunteers through our onboarding process, communicate with them about next steps, and ultimately onboard or decline them. It also allows volunteers to sign up for a rotation at one of our facilities, recognizing repeat volunteers and creating records for new volunteers. It shows me when I have volunteers, and whether or not the number of volunteers I have meets our goals.
Airtable is great, flexible solution
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable can be configured in any way and requires very little technical knowledge. We have built out a full CRM for a fraction of the price of other CRMs in our industry, and have layered other functionality on top.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limits on automations are annoying and do not make us pay for upgrades but rather make us use Zapier for additional automations.

Airtable allows us to create action trees for different phases of our projects in a totally customized way.
Taking databases and spreadsheets to the next level!
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Airtable is how flexible and customizable it is. It’s become a key tool for organizing different areas of our business and media operations, especially when it comes to keeping our broadcasting schedule on track. We use it a lot, and it’s been great at helping us stay organized without feeling overwhelming. I also really enjoy the Airtable Interfaces—they give our team a helpful "bird's eye view" of the most important information, keeping us focused on our goals and making sure nothing slips through the cracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find tricky about Airtable is that it has a bit of a learning curve. You really need a basic understanding of spreadsheets or databases to make the most of it, which can be a challenge for some team members. It also requires a lot of attention to detail, and that can be tough to manage when working with a group. Setting up Airtable Interfaces isn’t as straightforward as I’d hoped, and the flow between the regular UI and the interface pages could be smoother—but I’ve noticed things are slowly improving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable has made it so much easier to keep our team organized. We use it to manage our broadcasting schedule, keep track of employee and volunteer info, and handle some basic accounting and logistics for purchases. It’s really helped us stay on top of things and work more smoothly as a team, knowing everything we need is all in one place.
Airtable is intuitive and versatile, and has changed how my company manages projects.
What do you like best about the product?
We have been able to implement Airtable across multiple departments because of its ease of use and all the different options/functions it offers. I, personally, use it every day for almost every task I perform. I've been able to use it for various functions including project workflow management and account keeping. I can find information quickly using the sorting features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I frequently miss more in-depth text manipulation in specifically the long text type fields. The tiers in the subscription system also don't always make sense, with some features being locked that I feel shouldn't be locked. The customer support was just okay. I hate all the AI integration.

Airtable helps my department keep track of our accounts and our projects for those accounts. Previously, we used large Excel sheets that weren't collaborative or accessible. With Airtable, we can search these records quickly and create dynamic views to access information smoothly. The fact that the Airtable can be edited and those edits are viewable across all platforms keeps communication between team members and whole departments smooth. My department uses the Airtable individually to keep track of their projects, and I can see the status of all of them at a glance, which allows me to gather information for reports faster than going from person to person like I used to.
Super helpful for organizing projects & tasks, could be more fluid.
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable provides great ability to organize projects, tasks, and subtasks for the whole team or individuals. Tracking and sharing progress is made easier when you can create team-view and personal-view tables that link to relevant details such as notes, documents/uploads, and coinciding tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable features such as synced tables, uploading/linking documents, and rich text have obstructive limits set. Even on a paid plan, they require more money to upgrade and unlock things like more storage space.
Also, even with different editable views, so much organizational capacity sometimes means simplifying tables or having very busy tables. Better features like show-on-rollover/hover would be helpful to avoid having to limit detail or have huge tables that require too much scrolling.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable solves team organization and file and project-update sharing issues. No more trying to sync business emails with google drive and text message updates to check who's doing what task. It allows project tracking, task assignees with urgency/status levels, and file sharing all in one place with our business accounts.
Airtable is the answer to all of my problems
What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to use, and very easy to read for people who aren't familiar with it. I never worry about people misunderstanding data or charts with Airtable.
My team uses Airtable for storing and organizing almost all of our data, it's SO nice having everything in one secure place.

What do you dislike about the product?
Very few things! There are small little changes I'd request to make it easier for my personal project (like linking a record multiple times) but outside of that, no large changes!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of product shipping and what contacts have what products already.
Fantastic, intuitive tool for getting work done effectively and efficiently
What do you like best about the product?
I love Airtable! I love that I can easily create the applications I need to do my work faster and better. The GUI is clean and easy to navigate and the Excel-style formulas make setting up calculated fields a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was better support for printed reports. I also wish the certified training was rolled out to everyone (not just Enterprise customers). As soon as it is, I plan to complete the training/certification.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Airtable and Zapier, I pull into 150+ Google Business Profiles so that I may keep track of reviews and manage our reputation. By collecting the data in a centralized tool, I have additional insight into where our customers are having issues so that I may inform senior management with recommendations for corrective action. I also have a social media calendar setup to map to observances (think Diabetes Awarenes Month and similar) so that we can capture/participate in applicable observances that make sense for our business.
Was difficult to set up / implement for project management.
What do you like best about the product?
It's spreadsheet-like design, which is fairly native to Excel users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to set up. Templates cannot be added to existing bases. It's designed for a wide range of uses, so not full functioning for specific ones, like project management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are moving away from Airtable as the time to implement was too high.
