Great Value add - fast service
What do you like best about the product?
Merge unlocks a lot of potential for our business, unlocking auth and integrations. There a few extra features we needed to take the plunge, and their fast response and turn around made it easy to make the decision.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of yet, some of the aforementioned experiment al feature have not had the best uptime. Some of that has been on our lack of knowledge for the platform, however so I am confident it will smooth out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge is allowing us to have one point of contact for all CRM integrations. It will hopefully reduce our dev time when needing to integrate with new systems and technologies

Got us started quickly
What do you like best about the product?
Merge got us started with our ATS system integration. We were able to get to a first pass very quickly. They have a nice postman library that included all the APIs and parameters that was very easy to use and allowed us to investigate the format and data. The implementation was well done and Mathew Dohrety has been a great help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our use cases have expanded. We require real-time integration. This does involve more setup to get the webhooks working. I believe Greenhouse was a newer integration, so the API was changing as we went along.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our ultimate plan is to integrate with many ATS platforms, so Merge provides a canonical data model as well a standard set of APIs. Merge did help us in the beginning because we were able to get up to speed quite quickly. The greenhouse sandbox was also a great help.
We did have to add a data layer to transform fields. Merge was not providing the last updated date in the remote system, so we mapped that from the remote system. Merge does not guarantee an order, which is important to us, so we have done some tricks to get that right as best we can.
There is a tricky issue with the Greenhouse activity API. It is only available per candidate. Merge is able to provide us with all activities since a specific date.

What do you like best about the product?
The solution engineer was super insightful and presented in a very informative way and made everything easy to understand. The demo presentations were also super thought out, and I could tell they were putting themselves in the customer's shoes when they put it together. For example, they include possible road blocks, design decisions we would have to make, and possible solutions to address them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say there was limited documentation on how to use the Merge link component, it is pretty straightforward when you want something to work, but if I wanted to do more things with the element, I found myself going thru trial and error instead of having more documentation on what are all the inputs props, and the output props. Also, in what scenarios are Errors being outputted?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of having multiple custom logic for different types of ATS, and instead we can just use Merge and have everything to be more consisent.
Excellent customer support
What do you like best about the product?
The Merge API has allowed us to sync data for multiple customers in a consistent format regardless of the GL.
Working with the customer success team has been a great experience. They have spent a lot of time with us and answered any questions that we had.

There's a bit of noise in issue notifications, particularly around bad API keys for tables that we aren't syncing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creates a common data model across multiple GL platforms.

What do you like best about the product?
1 API to access data from many 3rd party systems. Low code solution. Great support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation can be inconsistent. Some columns are missing from documentation. Descriptions of what columns are sometimes too brief. More templates for python scripts to get data from merge would be helpful as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want to get data from many different accounting platforms. Merge allows us to have one low-code solution that works with all accounting platforms.

What do you like best about the product?
Merge has helped solve a vital business case, enabling you to scale faster. The unified API has allowed us to move quickly and implement a solution in weeks instead of months. Plus, the cherry on top is that Merge employees are great and helpful whenever you reach out.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lot of documentation, but there could be more details on how the data is created from various sources if there are discrepancies. There also have been some incidents where the Merge data wasn't correct, but after we reached out to our rep, the issues were resolved quicky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge is helping us scale through their unified API. Instead of learning and setting up multiple APIs, we hit the ground running with this product and were able to focus on scaling quicker.

Merge offers a consistent reliable API to connect to a variety of vendors. Merge support team is quick to respond, their documentation easy to traverse, and their UI is generally easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of visibility into translation of data from connected services. Unknowns are unknown, meaning some data can be very surprising and unexpecated / not fit the expected schema.

It allows us to connect to a variety of HR vendors.

What do you like best about the product?
How helpful and friendly the team are - made onboarding very easy.

Some of the features we needed were not ready right away/had a few minor bugs. Thankfully the team was very responsive and addressed the issues very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combining data sources into a common data model.

What do you like best about the product?
During all of my meetings with the Merge team I was met with smiles and can-do attitudes. We are building on top of their APIs and they showed a clear interest in what we are doing and were eager to support us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to see some of the documentation be made more intuitive - especially around feature support across various HR platforms. The information is available but difficult to access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge is saving us the time and research of having to integrate with many of the HR platforms our software needs to support. We can just worry about having Merge as a dependency without having to service so many platforms ourselves.
Great product, amazing team
What do you like best about the product?
I've worked with Merge at two different companies, and in both of my experiences, I've been really impressed by both the power of their product and the strength of their team. No question is too small, and they always reply to us incredibly quickly. Luckily, the outreach doesn't happen frequently because their product works so well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't come from a technical background, so I've experienced a steep learning curve when it comes to becoming an expert in everything that Merge has to offer. To be fair, this is more of a nod to the depth of Merge's product and a recognition of my own limitations, rather than a gap on their part. Plus, they've been immensely helpful in getting me up to speed in the areas where I have much to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the benefits of our product is that we integrate with many other systems that our customers use to bring data into one place. Because Merge has the integrations piece covered, we can spend our time delivering a good customer experience and building other needle-moving features.
