Harmonizing the world of business applications
What do you like best about the product?
The common object model and reusable API constructs. The domains that are being covered: accounting, HR, CRM. These are fundamental and pervasive areas of every business.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I must provision an instance of the vendor systems that I am writing and testing integration. It would be very helpful if Merge and its partners, such as Intuit, Sage, Workday, etc. provision sandboxes. The reality is that their partners are slow and difficult to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration of our digital exemption management platform with CRM, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and commerce platforms. We do not need to analyze and design integrations and data mappings to various APIs, we just need to do that to Merge.

What do you like best about the product?
Merge's standout quality is its unparalleled efficiency in scaling integrations. The platform seamlessly streamlines the integration process, saving us valuable time and resources. The team behind Merge has been instrumental in our implementation journey, offering exceptional support and responsiveness. Whether it's troubleshooting, adjustments, or general inquiries, Merge's support team has consistently delivered prompt and effective solutions. Their commitment to client satisfaction sets them apart.
What do you dislike about the product?
While our experience with Merge has been overwhelmingly positive, one minor drawback is the learning curve associated with its advanced features. Some team members found certain functionalities initially complex to navigate. However, this concern was quickly mitigated by the comprehensive documentation provided by Merge and the responsive support team, ensuring a smooth transition and mastery of the platform over time. Bare in mind I am not tech and our engineering team has mainly use the product in day to day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before adopting Merge, our integration processes were time-consuming, often requiring extensive manual efforts and troubleshooting. Merge has streamlined these processes, significantly reducing the time and resources needed for integration scaling.
Merge’s product is exceptional and the team provides support every step of the way!
What do you like best about the product?
Creating new integrations with Merge saved our team significant time and energy, and was budget well spent in both $ ROI and team morale.
The product is well designed and easy to implement, the data quality exceeds expectations, and the product provides a super easy on-ramp for our customers.
From original inquiry, through the sale process, and support, the team has been responsive and super helpful. We're often able to self serve using Merge's well prepared guides, and when we do need assistance the support team is quick to provide a solve. Throughout the process, we had regular check-ins as needed at the perfect cadence for us.

Merge is making the most of our team's resources, saving us so much time and freeing capacity up for more interesting and complex projects.
Merge makes life easier, supporting customers faster
What do you like best about the product?
Merge helps us link to many different HRIS providers expanding our ability to integrate with vendors our customers are using, helping them easily link their HRIS provider to our platform and immediately see the benefit.
Partnering with them if there are questions or concerns is quick and easy. The dashboard makes it easy to understand when a customer is having issues with their connection, and why.
Life before Merge was more painful - life with Merge is much, much, better. If

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't actively dislike anything about Merge. Merge is an excellent tool and company to partner with!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge solves our need to link to different HRIS integrations our customers use, they make it easy to increase the number of options available to our customers, and make it easy to link for our customer. This benefits us because we can now better serve our customers and decrease the amount of work done internally to increase our HRIS integration count.
Merge is quick to support, kind, and empathetic.

Seamless
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Merge is how easy is to integrate with from a technical perspective. Their SDKs are well documented and easy to use and implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Merge is on the pricier side but you can tell that they are ahead of the competition based on their number of integrations (and different verticals) and the overall look and feel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our main use case is the integration with HRIS systems and Merge is allowing us to integrate with many of them with just a single implementation. A good amount of HRIS systems have old and cumbersome APIs and Merge abstracts that complexity away with their unified and easy to implement integration.
Setting up integrations is super simple.
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to set up integrations with customers on a call is great. Having a dashboard shows me how things are running and gives me the ability to troubleshoot is super helpful. I also really enjoy our main customer success rep. She kills it. Shout out Jemma.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is minimal customization. Which means you have to stick to your guns and tell them what the platform can or can't do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a vendor that took so long to help out with issues and troubleshooting. Now Jemma (my hero) saves us tons of time by being helpful and even jumping on calls.
Focus on your core features and leave integrations to Merge
What do you like best about the product?
There is an integration for literally every service out there. When developing a SaaS product, you have to deal with customers who use different products and expect their product to integrate with your SaaS service. A startup or a small SaaS provider cannot manage to support integration with all those services and may loose focus from their code business. Merge makes it easier to enable integrations with 3rd party softwares. Their onboarding and customer support is great. The account manager had a weekly synchronizing meeting during initial days and made sure that we are aware of all the features and we are using them effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost. Merge might be good for startups with limited number of clients. But as you scale, its better to implement the integrations yourself. Simply compare engineering hours with the service cost. There are a few limitations like you cannot customize the time and frequency of data sync.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is dozens of HRIS and all of them have a different data model/APIs. Integrating with all of them takes a lots of effort. Merge makes it easy by unifying data model from different HRIS and makes this data accessible via APIs
Game-changer!
What do you like best about the product?
- The core product is great when you know you will need to build 3+ integrations of a certain kind (e.g. CRM). It has compound ROI, because the marginal work to add integrations beyond the first is minimal. Merge allowed us to close several deals by quickly supporting a new integration the customer needed.
- The customer success team at Merge moves at tremendous speed. They ship new integrations within 2 weeks and are always super quick to respond.
- Their integration maintenance tools are key to manage things like different API rate limits, which creep up on the R&D team once you have a few integrations

What do you dislike about the product?
- We initially were worried using Merge was going to be an obstacle to be official partners with the products we integrate with (e.g. Ashby, Greenhouse). But Merge is now well-known by partnership teams and this ended up being a non-issue.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Merge to power all our ATS integrations, and the 'long tail' of CRM integrations beyond the top 3 we already had.
Great partner for our HRIS integration expansion strategy
What do you like best about the product?
The software and the technical documentation are both top notch, which made integrating with their APIs a breeze and putting at ease from the start. They are responsive to new requests and are constantly evolving their offering, allowing us to improve our service to our clients. We added 4 new HRIS integration options immediately and will continure to do so as we get new requests from clients and prospects. The unified API has allowed us to remove the dev dependency and cost of adding new HRIS integrations, making the process extremely quick and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't come across any negative aspects so far
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowed us to expand our HRIS integration offering exponentially with minimal onset and maintenance cost, freeing up dev resources to focus on our roadmap projects instead.
Simplified HRIS integrations
What do you like best about the product?
Merge gives us a unified API to interact with 50+ HRIS. Without Merge we wouldn’t even consider building that many integrations and just limit ourselves to a few.
• It manages the complex feat of wrapping all the different API systems and data models into a usable common subset.
• Using their Field Mappings we can allow our users to customize the data pulled from the HRIS when it doesn’t fit into the common model.
• Usually, a new integration “just works” which gives it a certain feel of magic to integrate with a new HRIS with zero effort ✨

What do you dislike about the product?
• For many enterprise HRIS it’s hard to get a sandbox account. This makes it difficult to get a feel of how an integration is set up and works in practice.
• We would like to push custom data back into the HRIS.
