Wiz makes you a cloud security expert
What do you like best about the product?
Our cloud footprint grows daily as we empower our IT and business colleagues to deploy what they need. To enable this, we needed a way to monitor their deployments to ensure they were secure. Instead of increasing headcount and trying to find cloud security experts, we went with Wiz and utilized interns to operationalize it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know Wiz is moving in this direction, but I would like to be able to detect sensitive information across our cloud platforms and monitor our on-prem VMWare environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is validating our cloud deployments are secure and making our security professionals more efficient and effective. Before we had Wiz it was a manual process to review each deployment.
Wiz is a game changer!
What do you like best about the product?
Wiz was very easy to deploy. It was very easy to set up, cloud agnostic and covers all things cloud security from vulnerability mgmt, container security to cloud misconfigurations. It allows you to simplify your tech stack and provides great runtime capabilities in a single pain of glass. I have also been impressed by how aggressive their roadmap is and the speed of which new features are implemented based on customer feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall one of the best cloud security products i have used. I would like to see them enhance self serve reporting and user experience for non-technical personnel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud security posture management: It provides full visibility across our cloud environments of misconfigurations, Iam and network issues and vulerabilities
Runtime Container Security: In light of recent 0-days (Log4j, Spring4Shell etc) Wiz makes it easy to identify exactly where you are running vulnerable version and helps prioritize based on risk (i.e external facing)

Game changer for vulnerability management
What do you like best about the product?
In the competitive environment, Wiz has no real competitors. We migrated from first-generation CSPM into wiz with the combined CSPM, CIEM and Vulnerability management and were hugely impressed. The fidelity of the results was a big organizational win and allowed us to prioritize what matters.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wiz's integration with SNOW and JIRA is still half-baked. While both are technically there, neither performs where we would like to see. Not the most significant problem compared to the first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wiz provides visibility into Cloud Security Posture Management, allowing businesses like ours to understand their risks and prioritize urgent issues from banal trivia.
Wiz has leapfrogged the previous industry leaders in CSPM and continues to add top notch features
What do you like best about the product?
Wiz has made discovering security issues incredibly simple and intuitive. With little to no training, a security analyst can drill down into the details of findings with ease. By presenting valuable dashboards out of the box, coupled with the ability to create structured queries in the security graph, critical vulnerabilities or misconfigurations are rapidly identified. The API explorer is a valuable tool for customizing external automations and third party tool integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes unusually long for Wiz to parse large datasets. Some queries and event reports can time out if the source data is large enough. There also is not a great way of customizing dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In addition to CSPM, Wiz has provided our organization with a single pane of glass for cloud coverage and assets across all of our environments. New features such as data discovery and cloud events have, as well as the ability to see vulnerabilities within cloud hosts have been instrumental in powering up cloud security for our organization.

The ability to visually map things to better understand how things are communicating.

Can't say I dislike anything just yet.

Before Wiz we didn't have the ability to see across our cloud environment. Now we have complete visibility into what's going on in the cloud.

What do you like best about the product?
Wiz Support and the commitment to innovation.
Wiz keeps continuously impressing the client and the support team with new ways to look at cloud security issues. Also, impressive responsiveness to new vulnerabilities and react promptly when needed.
That said, we believe the level of investment in innovation and research is what makes Wiz stand out.

What do you dislike about the product?
The integrations between wiz and other security management tools (e.g. Service Now integrations with all modules) are still under development. They require a certain level of consulting and customizations when implemented on clients.
The risk of getting into this type of integration must be considered and mitigated by adding a team to help tailor the solution to the client's needs. But the wiz support team is doing a great job of answering and trying to adapt as needed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wiz is being used as a Cloud Security Posture Management solution, finding vulnerabilities, misconfigurations and toxic combination issues in the client environment. A helpful way to have a centralized place to monitor in-house the multicloud configuration without the need for a CASB service
How Wiz has provided a more clearer picture of our Cloud Environments
What do you like best about the product?
We have found that WIZ provides a clearer view of issues in our cloud environment. Wiz also provides a view to keep track of the inventory of our cloud infrastructure. It also allows us to consolidate various security tools; now that we have WIZ, we have a single pane of glass for our NOC/Operations teams to see our environments. We can put our cloud environments into different projects, provide access to folks for those projects, and create accessible reports for them to read and start remediating issues. Also that it is agentless, this is a major plus; we do not have to rely on our operations teams to install agents on all of our cloud assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are working with our WIZ account team to hopefully address minor issues, providing different reporting formats and better sorting of columns when issues are drilled into.
Overall this product has been great, and the team has been proactive in addressing our issues.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves two problems, a better view/insight into our cloud environments and consolidation into a single security/vulnerability scanning product. It lessens the cost of our security platform, which is a significant benefit.

The dashboards are quickly created, directing Wiz to the entire company and not only the security team.
