Great solution for mapping our cloud workloads and mitigate potential risks
What do you like best about the product?
Quick setup without the need to install agents in our production environments. This approach eliminates any worry that might arise regarding 3rd party agents that may impact our resource consumption. In addition, Wiz provides very informative alerts that assist us with mitigating security & configuration risks without the need for external consultation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The graph search capabilities are pretty limited when you need to drill down a bit, although eventually, you will be able to reach the information you looked for once you understand how to work with the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The essential thing that Wiz brings to the table is the ability to dynamically map our entire stack in AWS and monitor its configuration for any potential risk.
My experience with WIZ as a security engineer
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent mapping ability in a cloud environment. Find any information about cloud entities in my organization. Simple integration with SIEM system (splunk).
What do you dislike about the product?
The way to run and create a search query is not intuitive. The query language is complicated and requires learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wiz is solving objects mapping and inventorisation problems. Easy to run a scan to find vulnerabilities and take care of them in time. An excellent tool to monitor cloud security posture.
Miles ahead of the competition!
What do you like best about the product?
Wiz is getting a lot of press for the company's rapid growth. Often in the security industry, I find that such rapid growth is due to inflated marketing and sales teams rather than the fundamental quality of the product. Not so with Wiz. I firmly believe that Wiz is worth the hype. The product has given us significantly improved visibility into our cloud security posture - and after only a few conversations/demos, it was clear that Wiz was at least two years ahead of other products in the market (including the native cloud vendor tools!)
What do you dislike about the product?
Wiz takes up a significant chunk of my security budget, which means it gets a lot of attention from our accounting teams. That said, it does replace suites of tools that we would have paid for otherwise - so be sure to consider the overall TCO when deciding to use it.
Wiz is expanding its oversight controls into on-premises virtual machine environments, but currently, its usefulness to us is limited to our cloud environments.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developer-centric security tooling: we leverage Wiz to generate Jira tickets for our DevOps teams to action. These integrations are valuable and help to ensure issues are addressed and not forgotten in our decentralized working mode.
Wiz provided security and inventory data we'd not ever been able to surface centrally before

Wiz is user friendly both for the security and development teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to build automations around Wiz. We run into API limitations both for data accessibility and administration.

Wiz provides attack surface visibility of our hybrid cloud environment, and gives security, account owners, and leadership alike visibility into their own resources

Wiz gave us "eyes" about things happening in our cloud tenants.

Wiz needs Highly privileged roles in your cloud tenants to work and provides enough details about security gaps and issues.

- JIRA integration is a bit noisy in environments that are ephemeral

Advantage that can be disadvantage , a lot of data is provided from the system and it can be confusing.
