Coalesce.io allows you to create ETL pipelines in a low-code approach. It natively supports templates for integrating with different systems and is built to deeply integrate with Snowflake.
Coalesce.io is a very complete platform because it also integrates all the tools needed for building CI/CD pipelines and an AI agent to support developers in their activities.
Coalesce.io has impacted our organization positively by providing a low-code approach. It supports different sources, so we don't need to write custom code. It is also a collaborative tool, making it suitable for teams with a large number of developers.
What needs improvement?
At the moment, the only improvement I see is deeper support for AI agents to support the developer's job.
Coalesce.io is a very complete platform, but it could be an even better product if it supported more developer jobs, speeding up development.

Coalesce.io has been used for one year and a half.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Coalesce.io is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
As far as I have seen, Coalesce.io is very scalable. In case of excessive load, we can easily handle it by adding more resources.
How are customer service and support?
When Coalesce.io needs to be updated or maintained, we need to declare the maintenance window. We cannot use the tool during maintenance, but we try to keep maintenance time low to avoid any issues.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We did not use any solution before Coalesce.io. We used a more raw approach for development and deploying on Snowflake. That's why we decided to standardize, improve, and be more efficient with development by introducing Coalesce.io.
How was the initial setup?
The setup of Coalesce.io was not complex, and the licensing is very clear.
What about the implementation team?
We were provided with official documentation and also had some introductory courses and lessons by support.
What was our ROI?
Unfortunately, I don't have any numbers to share, but Coalesce.io had a very good impact on development and was very appreciated by the development team.

Coalesce.io was purchased through the AWS marketplace.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Different tools were evaluated as far as I know. I did not participate directly in the selection, and I cannot say what other tools were compared.
What other advice do I have?
Developers can share within Coalesce.io.
I would rate Coalesce.io as nine out of ten.

When Coalesce.io needs to be updated or maintained, we must declare the maintenance window. We cannot use the tool during maintenance, but we try to keep maintenance time low to prevent any issues.

Coalesce.io offers capabilities that we managed to use, but we also use external tools.
The Coalesce.io integration was planned to be smooth because before it, we used another tool, so we had to migrate what we had on the previous tool to Coalesce.io and then switch off when everything was done.
I suggest Coalesce.io to everyone who wants a collaborative environment deeply integrated with Snowflake that supports developers in their job.
Innovative and Agile Product Accelerating Data Activation
What do you like best about the product?
Coalesce is an easy to use platform that stays lock step with Snowflake so I'm always able to leverage the latest functionality of Snowflake within my production ready pipelines. There is an active package library that allows me to extend the base functionality of the platform to address more custom use cases and initiatives. Coalesce lowers the barrier of entry for new users accelerating how quickly engineers can ensure data products are ready for consumption. They have excellent customer service and proven results that show they are listening to their users. It has been a pivotal decision for our Snowflake journey that has become foundational in our success.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation is greatly enhanced through the use of Coalesce catalog but the editor lacks some level of customization found in other platforms. Package updates are frequent, but the effort to make mass adjustments through a large DAG remains cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coalesce accelerates how quickly we are moving and transforming data within Snowflake while Catalog is tightly integrated and ensures our stewards are front and center to keep consumers informed of data products. The catalog AI chat bot has been excellent in adding additional transparency to data processes for power users, auditing, and exploration.

What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't have Coalesce 4 or 5 years ago ;-)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This platform enables visual development while providing full access to the generated code. It also seamlessly incorporates a wide range of best practices into our workflow. From our experience, we are now able to scale much more significantly while maintaining excellent control over our pipelines.
Has been a game changer for our team.
What do you like best about the product?
We have a broad level of experience on our team, from new-grad to decades of experience. Both are able to use Coalesce in the way they see fit, and Coalesce meets them where they're at....whether it's through the UI or bringing your own code. The support team has been fantastic, and they're constantly adding features to make things more efficient for their end users. Coalesce is also very competitive price-wise with other tools in the same class.
What do you dislike about the product?
The online community documentation is still growing, but rapidly catching up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coalesce helps us keep everything well organized, builds great lineage and allows for unit testing on your most sensitive data sets.
Coalesce, the modern Pipeline Development tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Coalesce is Git forward and intuitive by design. The out of the box nodes account for many common Data Engineering processes AND if you need something that isn't covered, it's simple to script jinja to make the node do what you need it to do. The team supported us every step of the way and the speed at which we were able to implement pipelines in the product was days.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a coder, it was tough to adjust to the UI at first, but once I realized the power of the Jinja templates and how I could still code in the backend to make my DAGs even more powerful - it was no longer a downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Git Integration lacking in our legacy ETL tool. Cloud-data warehousing first code - leveraging the goodness of Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities in our ETL pipelines.
Coalesce is a fantastic transformational tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Coalesce's intuituve user interface, highly engaged developers making active improvements to the platform, and overall focus on helping us get data transformed in a complex way allowing us to get data in a form we need it to add value to our business, both internally and externally. We use this tool day daily and at times work with Coalesce support to help us build out the platform to our exact needs. Coalesce helped us solve some specific use cases that would not have been doable with other tools on the market. It's also highly configurable so for power users who want to build it's a wonderful solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can be slower with larger environments. The mapped column interface can take a long time to load and be very slow to navigate for larger pipelines and ETLs. I'd like to see the GUI become faster and snappier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coalesce solves the problem of getting data transformed in our data warehosue. We can build our ETLs with ease in Coalesce in a way that would not be possible with other tools on the market.
The best data transformation tool to scale
What do you like best about the product?
Coalesce IMO is the best transformation tool in the market. Before selecting them, I did extensive research of the other tools in the space. Some feature that stood out were bulk edit, custom node types, data lineage, rapid deployment and so many more. The people at this company are also wonderful to work with. Integration with snowflake can be achieved within minutes. The ease of use, yet ability to build complex logic makes this stand out.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are working on an orchestration tool and their data lineage could use a few minor enhancements (which I think are on the roadmap)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On Security, Coalesce and Snowflake authenticate with Snowflake oAuth, which is the highest option available. Coalesce is snowflake native so it supports all features when they are released.

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to build data assets. The robust documentation that is automatically prepared for you as you build. The ability to deploy and host scheduled jobs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a pause button for my jobs when I'm developing just so they don't run

It helps us built all necessary data transformations as well as deploying those procedures in all of our environments that exist within our data warehouse
Easy Transformation in Snowflake
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Coalesce is how easy it makes complex data work—things that used to take us days now take minutes. It’s helped our small team move faster, stay organized, and deliver cleaner data without burning out. They also have great customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main challenge with Coalesce is that it can take some time to fully understand how to use all its features effectively, especially for newer team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coalesce is helping us solve the problem of managing and transforming large volumes of messy, siloed data from systems like our ERP and HR platforms. By centralizing transformations, automating documentation, and making it easy to trace changes, it’s dramatically reduced the time we spend on manual work and made our team more productive—it’s a huge win for scaling our data operations.

The way your data becomes visible through all the views and stages and the ease in which you can add your data.

The deployment plan doesn't always work. Especially when changing a data type, Coalesce doesn't alway give me the correct deployment plan.
