Better translations solutions & saving time!

What do you like best about the product?
As a copywriter at Acne Studios, using Smartling has really helped simplify the translation process. It’s made it much easier to stay on top of multiple language versions, ensuring we hit our deadlines without the usual back-and-forth.

What I appreciate most is how Smartling offers smart solutions that help us reuse content efficiently, keep the tone consistent, and avoid double work. It’s taken a lot of pressure off when juggling tight turnarounds and has made collaboration across teams feel much more seamless.

It’s become an essential part of our workflow — especially as we scale content across markets without losing quality or brand voice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Things that can be improved have always been raised with the teams. Smartling are brilliant at offering solutions and finding ways to improve things.
The website is very user friendly and the team is super helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall process of submitting translations.
Being able to keep track, edit and use our Translation Memory to ensure that our TOV doesn't get lost in translation.
Easy way to track what submissions are pending and whats available.
Seamless updates to our CMS Salesforce.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartling has a nice UI that is easy to comprehend. I'm always more efficient working with Smartling projects compared to other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not the biggest fan of the QA tool in Smartling. However, it's probably a user-issue rather than a platform issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartling is allowing me to work as a translator for a range of clients.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartling is a powerful and efficient tool for daily translation. Its intuitive platform, along with features like grammar and spell checking, allows linguists to focus on content quality, as well as the correct application of specific terminology and glossaries.
The platform offers a professional and reliable environment with an easy-to-use interface. The "Open issue" feature streamlines communication, allowing linguists to get direct answers and save time. Also, the automatic invoicing system is highly appreciated, eliminating the administrative burden of manual invoicing.
For website translations, Smartling's ability to display content in context is a standout feature. This visual feedback allows translators to make informed decisions regarding syntax and punctuation, ensuring the translated content integrates seamlessly with the website's layout.
What do you dislike about the product?
Issues with tag placement, though manageable, can disrupt workflow.
Also, a comprehensive task summary, displaying word counts and deadlines without requiring scrolling or window switching, would also enhance efficiency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email notifications often lag behind the availability of jobs on the platform, resulting in missed opportunities. This delay can be frustrating for linguists seeking to secure available projects. Despite this issue, Smartling provides a consistent stream of work opportunities across diverse and engaging fields, making it a valuable platform for freelance translators.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, style guides and language resources are next to being straightforward also helpful. Als the response time and help of the PMs is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Over time, TMs become “polluted” with outdated or inaccurate translations. I think the response time/knowledge of the help desk could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quality assurance, TM search and Glossary are valuable assets of the system.

Complete localization tool with seemingly simple UI but still huge functionality

What do you like best about the product?
It is centralized and cloud based that can be run in any web browser which removes the burden of backing up translation project files through various jobs, so it provides a piece of mind that no data get lost even in a computer failure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its text search feature could be improved a lot, because performing an exatct search does not give results if the search text contain special characters (e.g. non-breaking space, non-breaking hyphen etc.).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every aspect of a translation workflow (e.g. handing off translation jobs, translating using translation memories and glossaries, submitting jobs and invoicing for work) is in a same centralized, cloud based location, which greatly streamlines the localization processes.

What do you like best about the product?
It is both intuitive, easy to use and at the same time offers all the necessary functions for a translator to perform professional translation and editing
What do you dislike about the product?
there's nothing I don't like about Smartline, maybe the perfect thing would be to be able to work with it even offline!

helps me perform translations and revisions quickly and professionally, maintain consistent terminology throughout texts, and check translation output directly in a preview

What do you like best about the product?
I've used Smartling for many years, even before starting to work with them.
I first knew them from using their CAT tool. I think it was the most userfriendly tool compared to others in the market, like Phrase or XTM.
The issue reporting system is quite useful, as it allows linguists to receive responses directly from the client.
Another aspect I like is the PM team. They are a delight to work with.
The payment schedule is another strong point. Payment is made on the first business day of each month, with no delays.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, there are so many linguists assigned as resources to an account and the job assignment system is set to first claim first served, that it makes it very difficult to claim jobs. Particularly due to timezone differences, some linguists may get ahead and others remain without jobs.
Also, it does not always occur, but sometimes, PMs are unresponsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do not own a business. I'm a linguist. They are always improving the tool and the workflow.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use, Number of Features, Easy to connect with PM's related to the project on the same platform, Quick resolution to queries, Ease of Integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can think of, it has more of merits that elevates your work experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Under one roof if provides translation management with various features, also providing MT and AI suggestions, along with TM. Further to it you can touchbase with Project Managers then and there for quick query resolution. The user interface is exemplary.

What do you like best about the product?
- The UI is very easy to use, straightforward, yet has all the features you need.
- Support desk is quick to response and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
- The job notification seems to be delayed quite a bit. I often seen the jobs in the platform already before I received the notification in my email.
- There seems to be no filter to find a non-confirmed segments quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to do my job (translate/edit) efficiently with all the features I need.
And when it comes to the AI powered translation, it has a better quality translation than other platforms I've seen.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartling is a useful translation platform, it is really easy to use, and the interface is not loaded with a hundred options that no one knows how to use. I use it on a daily basis and it is one of my favourite translation software products.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that it has fewer features than other translation software programs. But I could always solve my issues my contacting the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a freelance translator and I use Smartling to translate, edit and localize. Actually, Smartling is hiring me for my translation services.
