What do you like best about the product?
I like it's easy to use navigation and help center documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe the constant login sessions, but it usually happens once a day. Would love to expand this to maybe once a week or so for people that use the tool on a daily basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working in collaboration with LSPs, maintaining Linguistic tools and assets and TMs

They are always happy to solve any problem and query I encounter. They give prompt solutions.

What do you dislike about the product?
-No minimum job size
-The pricing structure penalizing translators (such as the 20% discount applied to the translation step for all matches within the 0.0% - 84.9% fuzzy band, Validation and SmartMatches)
-The 12-hour clock instead of the 24-hour clock

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work as a translator directly for Smartling or for other agencies and use Smartling as a cat-tool
User-friendly CAT tool
What do you like best about the product?
An easy to use CAT tool for translators with all the features you'd expect (glossary, TMs, QA checks) and more. I find especially the context view helpful and the "open an issue" option to contact project managers etc. I work with many different CAT/TMS tools, and in my opinion, Smartling is the one with the fewest bugs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont' have any issues with the tool itself

It's a tool that helps clients to get content translated and is an easy enough tool to use for translators to provide translations in many different languages. Different options (human translation, editing, machine translation etc.) for different needs
Amazing translation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Smartling is very intuitive and user-friendly. It's also very visually attractive, which makes it easier to use — I like how everything is displayed and how efficient it is. I have worked with many translation tools throughout my career and this one is probably the best. I've been using it for years, and it has only improved throughout time. I highly recommend it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some regular keyboard commands and shortcuts don't work automatically on Smartling, so they need to be adjusted on the settings.

Smartling is simpler to use than other translation tools, which makes my work much easier.
The MOST user-friendly and sophisticated CAT tool I've ever used
What do you like best about the product?
Smartling has a lot of different refined features that couldn't have existed without careful consideration for the user's point of view. Overall, Smartling is my single favorite CAT tool, honestly.
Specifically, I like how I can highlight the source text without having to move across the segments. This is very helpful when I give another look to my translation, particularly to detect if there's any omission in the translation. It prevents the process from being more cumbersome than necessary, ultimately leading to "happy translating!"
I also like that the preview is sophisticated enough that I can pretty realistically imagine how the outcome would look to the audience. It's very important to put yourself in the audience's shoes when it comes to the task of translating.
It goes without saying that it's super easy to apply tags and to search TM with the very user-friendly UI.

What do you dislike about the product?
The quality check feature is still an area for improvement for the Korean language. This is a widespread drawback across many CAT tools - personally, I've never seen a CAT tool that does this right yet - but it wouldn't be surprising if Smartling manages to solve this challenge sooner than the others.

Smartling is improving the quality of my day-to-day task of translation and consequently my mood with its user-friendly UI.
Easy to use, clear functions and optimal work management
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Smartling mainly for the context function, which is so helpful when translating: just one click and you can see the final result of your work to check if it really fits in context. Also, the ease of checking style guides and attached documents is unparalleled. I really appreciate the fact that I can see issues created by other linguists and they can see mine, we are able to spot and solve together any inconsistency or doubt just by looking at each other's comments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I open an issue targeted to the client, they reply after the translation deadline and I am not really sure how to proceed because I no longer have access to the file, that is really the only issue I have.

I am a translator so all I can say is that Smartling is a perfect tool for translating and managing translations.

I would like to emphasize the accuracy, user-friendliness and efficiency of the Smartling platform. It is first of all very reliable and easy to use!

Smartling is providing an accurate AI and machine translation!
Easy to work with, but it lacks a few simple features that would make everyday use more efficient.
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is user-friendly, and the glossary feature is very handy. The Context tab is an excellent idea for certain types of documents, i.e., when we are translating missing strings on a website that is already translated and live.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's quite difficult to locate and edit submitted strings when an account has too many projects. Having the ability to edit TM entries directly from the Search TM feature would be ideal.
Additionally, the platform lacks a PO system that would allow us to view the budget for a job in advance, which would be very helpful.

The translation memory ensures consistency and makes it easier to search for core terms. The ability to raise Issues and ask for clarification from the client directly is also helpful.
