Sophos MDR - Fast and solution-oriented support

  • June 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is the very fast response time. We don't have long waiting times before a support representative contacts us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support could be expanded a bit in terms of language. With critical issues that need to be resolved quickly, misunderstandings can occur easily. But so far, everything has been very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resource availability in the IT sector is often scarce. The MDR team fills this gap almost perfectly.

    Construction

Sophos MDR works very well and quickly, risks are reviewed and escalated by the Sophos MDR team.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos MDR works very efficiently around the clock. When risks arise, the Sophos MDR team takes action and examines the incidents, escalating them if necessary. Our internal IT is immediately informed about critical incidents and receives predefined measures for implementation, either in collaboration with the team or independently. As a result, we have been able to fend off attacks at the last moment several times. If we had not actively used Sophos MDR, we would likely have often fallen victim to successful cyberattacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the Complete variant, it is a requirement that the health check status is at 100% in all functions of Sophos Central, Endpoint Server Protection, etc., due to insurance issues. However, in some environments with production machines and software, this is not always feasible, as one relies on manufacturers who unfortunately have not yet aligned their software or hardware to such a high security level. Therefore, exceptions must be configured in the policies so that this software works, which, however, lowers the health check status. Without these exclusions, production cannot take place because the software does not function. Finding a solution with support is associated with a very high effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A central problem that many companies face in the field of cybersecurity is the constant threat of cyberattacks. These attacks can not only jeopardize the integrity and confidentiality of company data but also lead to significant financial losses and reputational damage.

Sophos MDR (Managed Detection and Response) offers a comprehensive solution to combat these challenges. It operates around the clock and provides rapid responses to potential risks. The Sophos MDR team reviews all emerging risks and immediately escalates critical incidents, ensuring our internal IT is promptly informed. With pre-established measures, we can act quickly to fend off threats.

We benefit from Sophos MDR in several areas:

Efficient threat detection: Attacks are detected and analyzed in real-time, allowing for an immediate response.
Collaboration with the IT team: Our internal IT can quickly respond to instructions and take action in critical situations to ensure security.
Protection against cyberattacks: We have been able to fend off attacks at the last moment multiple times, protecting us from potential damage.
Relief for the IT team: With the support of the Sophos MDR team, we can focus on other strategic tasks while ensuring the security of our systems.
Improved compliance: Adhering to security standards becomes easier, helping us maintain a 100% health check status and meet insurance requirements.

Overall, we benefit from Sophos MDR by strengthening our security strategy, minimizing risks, and maintaining operational efficiency without compromising productivity.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos MDR is one of the best security solutions. Easy to manage, easy to deploy, great Sophos team communication. On a daily basis, checks are easy to understand and follow. Between MDR and InterceptX, we have the solution we need but combined with Sophos MDM gives us a full overview of our network devices and servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm really struggling to find a dislike but the only one I can think of is that the web interface acts a little bit slow. And it is only because I had not because I think there is an issue ;)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are smal IT team with limited resources so MDR do the SOC work for us. Prevuisly we had XDR solution but we had no time to run queries against the network and endpoints to see if there are any threats.

Excellent & Knowledgeable Service

  • June 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The response times are extremely quick, even when you think it is a smaller isolated incident and you receive an email alert, someone from the MDR team will follow-up that they have investigated the incident further and provide their findings and details. They are very knowledgeable and always willing to provide more insight and assistance, as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint is the portal and navigating it to find details on incidents has become quite confusing and hard to find since their last UI update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Expertise and quick response on endpoint alerts and incidents. This is a huge benefit as it takes away the time and manpower needed to handle these issues with a smaller team. It also provides expertise and someone to bounce ideas off of and get feedback when we are handling these incidents on our own.
