The quality of the MDR service
What do you like best about the product?
SOC available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, all year round. Allows having an agent permanently without needing to recruit an expert IT team (human cost + training to follow for improvement).

What do you dislike about the product?
Although it replaces a team of experts within the company, the licensing budget remains substantial. The offers are attractive when purchasing the new license (thanks to the booster), but the renewal does not always follow in terms of price.

the price, very expensive, too much compared to the competition

Sophos MDR solves the problems of late threat detection and slow incident response. This benefits us by improving responsiveness to cyberattacks and enhancing the overall security of our environment without requiring complex internal management.

As a Director of IT, knowing that a dedicated team is actively hunting, investigating, and neutralizing threats in real time without waiting for alerts to escalate means i can focus on strategic initiatives rather than constantly firefighting.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the monthly and weekly reports (e.g., Sophos MDR Enterprise Monthly Report) provide detection summaries and MITRE ATT&CK mappings, they appear to lack deeper context or executive-level insights that could help you communicate risk posture more effectively to stakeholders.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos MDR delivers continuous 24/7/365 monitoring across endpoints, servers, and network infrastructure. Its behavior-based analysis helps proactively detect and respond to indicators of compromise, significantly reducing the risk of undetected breaches. The product is easy to deploy and benefits from a clear, intuitive user interface. In case of issues, support is highly responsive and available around the clock. Its ability to integrate seamlessly with hardware from various vendors is an added advantage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The solution is comprehensive with no significant shortcomings. If anything, response times—while generally good—could be further improved to enhance overall efficiency.

One of the major challenges for any organization is maintaining continuous visibility over a growing number of devices—especially monitoring their behavior within the LAN, WAN and toward critical servers. This task demands up-to-date cybersecurity expertise and 24/7/365 operational coverage, which can be both costly and complex to manage internally. Sophos MDR addresses this challenge effectively by delivering expert-driven threat detection and response as a managed service, reducing the need for in-house resources while ensuring enterprise-grade protection around the clock.
MDR is a 24/3365 security team for any small/mid sized business
What do you like best about the product?
Love having the MDR team react to and respond to detected events and odd behavior. It is amazing how quick a real person jumps in and reviews issues. Having the ability to let them access or isolate suspected issues is amazing! Very easy to use and implement. Support is very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is great, I cannot think of a negative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Small and mid sized businesses typically do not have the experts or 24x7 staff to watch for and respond to security issues. MDR solves this by detecting and responding, and with real experts. It is extremely time saving to have an expert review and take action before most other solutions would have alerted, and comforting instead of wondering if an alert was a real threat.

What I like best about Sophos MDR is its 24/7 expert threat monitoring and rapid incident response, which gives us peace of mind knowing our systems are being actively protected by professionals.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Sophos MDR provides excellent threat detection and response, the pricing can be a bit high for smaller organizations, and some advanced configurations may require support assistance, which slightly limits flexibility for in-house teams.

Sophos MDR helps us address the critical challenge of real-time threat detection and response, especially during off-hours when internal IT resources are limited. It ensures continuous monitoring, rapid threat containment, and expert analysis, which significantly reduces our response time and minimizes potential damage. This allows our team to focus on core IT functions with confidence that our security is in expert hands.

2. If there are incidents, we are not alone; within minutes, there is someone qualified to support us in dismantling the threat.

1. Your notification emails are useful and important, they just need a better presentation.

A few teams are not compatible with Sophos requirements, which will force us to update them soon.
