The complexity of the tables in the background and getting comfort that it’s the right data and drivers

Comparing data and surfacing themes to aid decision making.
A great all round experience with little to complain about.

I like how easy it is to customise you own environments and tools to suit your own personal needs as all organisations are different.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can complain about is the calculation time after checking in files.

It helps us solve our consumption goals by seeing where we can cut costs

Very easy to customize tables and reports. We managed to entirely automate internal cross-charging of 1,000,000+ monthly charge items across 400+ budgets

Performance issues caused by complex calculations. Support documentation is minimal and even Apptio-developed scripts cause slowness of product

Centralized IT Planning with Enhanced Accessibility
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate IBM Apptio for its accessibility, which allows everyone in the team to easily review their project budgets without any hassle. It is incredibly effective in keeping all project-related information centralized and accessible for the IS Requisition team, especially when it comes to GL coding. I find it particularly valuable that it offers significant advantages over using traditional tools like Excel spreadsheets, as it prevents data lockup and ensures seamless data saving. This program’s ability to seamlessly integrate information from tools like Infor and maintain a reliable performance without locking up or losing data adds immense value to our IT planning projects. I would rate it a perfect 10, as it's a wonderful program that has vastly improved how we manage and access essential project data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like IBM Apptio to add a quantity amount field that would sum up the quantities and the amount to match the purchase price. This would eliminate the need to enter quantity amounts in the description.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find IBM Apptio keeps all information centralized for the IS Requisition team, making GL coding accessible. It allows everyone to review project budgets and prevents data lockups, enhancing accessibility compared to Excel spreadsheets.
Solid Product
What do you like best about the product?
Provides great platform for connecting disperate sets of data - both operational and financial - to provide transparency around IT operations. Allows companies who perform multiple allocation methodologies to allocate IT spend back to business with great flexibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limitations on current model and flexibility. Lack of forward looking analysis. No AI embedded to provide additional insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides most amount of transparency around usage of IT assets and spend. Allows us the ability to perform allocations based upon usage (both direct and indirect) and provide greater visibility into the IT landscape.

Being part of an industry standard which is rigorously and actively supported and engaging.

Not enlough local user chapters where the same type of willingness to share

Getting stakeholders across the enterprise to truly understand IT costs. Being able to find efficiencies and being able to equitably price offerings.
