Great tool
What do you like best about the product?
Great for sending push notifications and in-app messaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe it could be less expensive. Also, I would like to have easier says to create automations.

Easy, reliable, and handles the complexities for us
What do you like best about the product?
Segmentation with One Signal, especially when coupled with tags, is one of the fundamental features I find incredibly helpful. The ability to send notifications based on tags and app versions has helped me in numerous ways as a developer and other people involved in marketing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of segmentation is that the number of segments is limited, and so is the number of tags per user. The "tags per user" limitation has made it difficult to develop since I have always had to find clever and messy ways to encode information, ultimately making the code a bit messy and the targeting less flexible. This is in a professional plan, where these limitations are less restrictive than other plans, so I imagine this is even harder in lower tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us, OneSignal gives a personality to numbers. On our segment tab, we have a rundown of who each user is and related information about their behavior. This helps us connect with them and offer a curated experience through push notifications and other messages. In-app messages are also really nice. We have had the feature "in-app modal" in our backlog ready to begin implementation, but OneSignal handled this with complete functionality, which was very convenient.

The OneSignal's team is super engaged and helpful. Always bringing the platform improvements and news so that we can improve our work and delivery to our customers

I miss communication by newsletters about some news and possibilities about the platform

We need to communicate and notify our customers, and OneSignal is our best platform for this purpose.
Easy to Setup / Build / Learn
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use dashboard, which allows for deploying real-time in-app messaging without our marketing team having to code. Provides great insights on with all of the relevant user data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Better integration with Expo Go
Ability to opt-out of features - We only use IAM, not their notifications, emails - but they are automatically counted (even though they are not charged - which can be confusing).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using OneSignal to deploy our in-app messaging. Synced with data coming from MixPanel, we are able to build cohorts and deliver relevant messaging to our app users.
Easy to set up and get going
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up and out of all the options we considered, it was the best that had a pay as you go plan which was important to us as we didn't want to get locked into an enterprise contract.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't experienced any real downsides, but I would say that the design/look of OneSignal isn't the best out of all the options we considered.

Sending out push notifications and building push notification journeys. Also really like the easy integration with Amplitude.

Integration with iOS was quick and easy. The documentation is good.

Getting the player ID using the iOS SDK is kind of weird. It's not available when it's being called too soon and there is no closure for callback from the function.

We wanted something that's simple to integrate and has a friendly admin control panel. OneSignal delivers.
Effective way to drive traffic to my websites.
What do you like best about the product?
One Signal it's a easy to use and very effective way to drive traffic to my websites and improve the engagement of my audiences, being able to directly communicare them about our last contents.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no negative issues usung One Signal, but you need to accurately analize the costof the platform to make it profitable. Luckily, there are many ways and good data to mke it possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One Signal it's one of the ways a publisher have to get in touch directly with their audiences, and reduces dependences of Google and Social Networks on algorythms.
Great low-cost solution for push notifications without much coding involved

Simple to setup and automate your campaigns based on custom audiences

Depending on your tech stack it may not be trivial to integrate with other platforms but their CS team is quite helpful is supporting

Enables push notification management by abstracting away the complexites
It was very easy to work with and I never had problems with my campaigns.
What do you like best about the product?
That it was a very intuitive platform. I've never had problems to send my campaigns or to see results.
What do you dislike about the product?
That you had to confirm many times to schedule the campaigns, some times when I was in a hurry I thought that it was scheduled and then I found out the next day there was still one confirmation left.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We send all out push app and push web campaigns through OneSignal and I have to show metrics to my team. Also its great to have the preview of the notifications, thats useful for me to send our partners how their campaign looked like.

What do you like best about the product?
For sure, the support: Fast reply, patience, and links to try out to solve the problem. At least the best support ever received, I think. Meaby not the best choice to use chat instead of emails, but understandable. Anyway, I got a problem with the OneSignal SDK setup, but it came out that the problem was not OneSignal but another Plugin that interfaced with OneSignal. Juan helped me find out the problem and gave me a lot of support and solutions; I'm glad he worked with me ( in some way ).
In conclusion, one of the best things I liked is the dashboard; helpful and clear, and every section is straightforward to understand and use. I'll recommend OneSignal to all who need a notification infrastructure and for sure, and I'll surely use it again for future projects. What do you dislike about the product?
I'm new to OneSignal use, so I didn't find any problems or downsides for now. The website is clear and modern, dashboard and notification system are perfect and fast, so ( for now ) nothing to say.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I said, I'm new. But OneSignal solves the remote push notifications infrastructure; they track all the data so you can check it out quickly, and there are emails and SMS infrastructure for the future. So for a business is a good choice if you don't need too much privacy.
