What do you dislike about the product?
Android platform configuration on site via firebase is still v1. Need to update to newer rather than legacy cloud.
Dashboard that lists all teams that you're a part of is not well built for search etc. Challenging for agencies.

A handy tool
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to push your new content to subscribers
What do you dislike about the product?
You easily lose people again... So it doesn't stay super effective
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting with subscribers
Works great, fans of my website are immediately notified of a new post.
What do you like best about the product?
Keepings fans connected. It's great to have a service that can automatically inform users when there is a new product available or a sale has started.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, it seems to be a bit tricky to follow users that unsubscribed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
People that are looking for deals, but aren't visiting my site every hour. Some deals only run for half a hour, which makes the instant notification great.
The easiest way to integrate push notifications into an iOS app
What do you like best about the product?
The Swift SDK is just amazing, ready to use
What do you dislike about the product?
It might be easier to send specific notifications to a specific user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to add push notifications to an iOS app
Extremely knowledgeable and helpful support team.
What do you like best about the product?
The product, resources, support team and overall value. Looking to take full advantage of all of the products and services they offer to drive user engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
We're new to the platform, so we have not encountered any serious issues. Anything that has come up has been addressed by the support team within one business day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User engagement primarily, but we plan on using it for our welcome screen, awareness such as feature rollouts, issue notifications, and education about our platform.
The Ultimate Tool for Effective Push Notification
What do you like best about the product?
OneSignal's simplicity of use is one of its best features. It's an excellent solution for handling push notifications because to its user-friendly design and straightforward setup process. I especially appreciate the personalization choices that let me make my messages unique and focus them on the demographic I'm trying to reach.
What do you dislike about the product?
OneSignal does have one drawback, though: for those who are not tech-savvy, it might be intimidating. The platform has many features, but it could take some time to fully explore and comprehend them all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OneSignal has significantly increased our customer engagement and retention rates as an online shop. We can watch user activity and adjust our marketing strategies thanks to its real-time data. We may use OneSignal to provide customized push notifications to our customers informing them of new merchandise, special offers, and other pertinent updates. As a result, our company has seen an increase in visitors and sales.
On a path to become a Great Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and visualisation of data. UI is very good
What do you dislike about the product?
It has bugs, issues, and crashes. Site is down sometimes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our CRM, Helps connect with our users through in-apps, push and email
An impressive platform with exceptional customer support
What do you like best about the product?
OneSignal is quite straightforward and intuitive to use, but if, for some reason, you are struggling to grasp any part of the platform, their customer support team will be there to help. They are extremely responsive, timely, and provide detailed, thorough guidelines on your next steps. They have made the transition so easy for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside of OneSignal is the lack of data available on the platform itself, as with the templates you only have access to conversion rates. It would be wonderful if deeper insights/KPIs were provided, too (such as revenue, CTR, total conversions, etc).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OneSignal most certainly makes it easy to automate push campaigns, in-app campaigns, and the like. Whether I'm working to automate a campaign based on certain triggers or want to send a one-off push notification, their platform makes it a breeze.
The experience has been amazing, it is user friendly and allows creativity
What do you like best about the product?
We can reach customers digitally. It is easy to segment our customers and therefore send messages catered for each. It keeps our company updated with new innovation digital tools and therefore helps us stay ahead of competition.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently I haven't found a thing I dislike about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To reach my app users, keep them updated about our new release, events and new promotions. To trigger a buy, with call to actions.
Very disappointed and frustrated: Email and SMS features didn't work as they promised us
What do you like best about the product?
We switched to Onesignal when Mixpanel's messaging features (Email and SMS) were about to be deprecated around the end of 2021.
Mixpanel suggested some messaging partners, but most of them were very expensive.
Onesignal was one of the affordable ones, so that's why we started using it.

What do you dislike about the product?
Onesignal promised us they had solid email and SMS automation features and had the fastest sync time with Mixpanel cohorts, which we were using for targeting users.
After starting using Onesignal, we realized almost none of them were true:
1. Basic email automation features such as adding someone to CC or BCC or even adding a preheader were missing at the time.
2. There was no SMS automation: they openly lied to us. Their SMS feature was only for sending one-off SMS messages. I had to write my own automation Python script to send automated SMS messages via Onesignal API.
3. Email delivery metrics cannot be seen on their platform; you need to download a big CSV file every 30 days or connect to their API to see crucial email delivery numbers for each email template.
4. Mixpanel cohort sync took much more than 15 minutes, their promised time. This has been causing sending the same message to a user multiple times. I spent countless hours fixing it by updating cohorts, changing my Python script for SMS delivery, etc.
5. Last but not least, there is always something getting broken, and they don't care to let their users know. For example, yesterday, I noticed that some of the Mixpanel cohorts hadn't been synced for 2 months!
In short, Onesignal cost us much more than what we paid them, as hours spent fixing stuff, lost revenue because of the misdelivery of messages, and frustrated users.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using OneSignal for behavioral email and SMS marketing. We are using Mixpanel as the source of the cohorts. We tried web push but the engagement was low, so we stopped using it.
