Reliable, relatively easy setup, good documentation, great support
What do you like best about the product?
The documentation is mostly good (better than competitors), and the support is very helpful. I have requested help from support on multiple times and they have always been proactive. Setup was easier than other options, like Firebase.
Furthermore, the UI is good enough for non-technical users to design in-app messages.
Pricing is reasonable.

What do you dislike about the product?
Although the integration is mostly easy, there was some difficulty with integration when it came to adding more than one Notification Service Extension (NSE) when there is more than one build version of the app. Support were helpful with this, though, and it ended up not being necessary for us to even use multiple NSEs at all (for our use case).
Although the documentation is mostly good, there are some things that need to be improved, for example the migration guide for the latest major version upgrade misses some key information like needing to replace the swift code that we use for OneSignal with a slightly modified one, and the readme is just a doc on github and not a thorough page on their docs site, which they did for the previous migration guide.

Reliable targeting and sending of push notifications to users, and creation and segmentation of in-app messages for users.

Easy to Setup and Best place for the beginners
What do you like best about the product?
First of all, it gives most of the usability in free of charge. If someone wants to grow from the scratch this would be the best tool to have the push notification tool. The Dashboard gives easy to navigate feature and the reports can be seen from the segment section. I found most of the information and support reliable for the person to move forward without external support or help.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything in my mind but in the recent conversation from the support team, I could see there was a slight delay in connecting the chat from the Rep to the support team. It is okay as the team is not in proportion to the demand, it could be justified as there is no charge for their free service and we as a customer can wait a little bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving my most important problem which is the retention of the users who may have seen my article somewhere on the internet and forget to come back again. This tool connects the users to my website whenever I publish the articles it goes directly to their screen to popup and the rest is the history. It is a widely used tool worldwide; hence, they are the best in the market while charging nothing.
onesignal helps my clients come back
What do you like best about the product?
I like the browser notifications they publish. When I publish a blog, I can send notifications to subscribed customers simultaneously. This will increase customer stickiness and greatly improve the number of return visits to my website.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not particularly proficient in English. During the setup phase, I used the browser's built-in translator, but this caused onesignal to crash. It was extremely difficult for me to use it for the first time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OneSignal's proactive push notification feature quickly informs subscribed customers after I publish a blog post, encouraging more customers to revisit my website. This increases user stickiness and interactivity. Additionally, OneSignal addresses the challenge of maintaining effective communication with users and increasing their engagement with my content. By utilizing OneSignal's advanced segmentation and targeting capabilities, I can tailor my messages to match the interests and behaviors of my audience, making the communication more relevant and engaging. The analytics and reporting tools offered by OneSignal also enable me to monitor the performance of my push notifications, helping me to continually refine my strategy to better meet the needs of my audience. Overall, OneSignal provides a comprehensive solution for improving user engagement and fostering a more interactive and personalized relationship with my audience, which is invaluable for growing my online presence.
Great solution for push notifications
What do you like best about the product?
We use OneSignal for a limited scope: push notifications only. For that purpose, OneSignal has been great for it's ease of use and it's simple pricing plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only real concern was about the speed of updating their Android SDK when an issue arose from an update to Android. One nitpick might be that their analytics downloads could use better documentation/column header naming convention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were not doing a good job on engaging our users who had the mobile app installed, missing engagement from those users. We decided to utilize OneSIgnal to do push notifications to drive our users to the stories within the app. We started modestly, but in the last few months have ramped it up to 1 per day. OneSignal has been key to this strategy. We're not starting to push out even more per day. Again, OneSignal's simple pricing lets us ramp up without additional costs other than those associated with user base growth (which is a good thing).
OneSignal is easy-to-implement for push notifications
What do you like best about the product?
OneSignal is easy and intuitive to implement even for the non-technical solopreneur, and the company's staff are very helpful and care a lot about user feedback and serving user needs. We depend on OneSignal to distribute news to our readers daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
For some features beyond standard implementation, I wish I didn't need as much technical knowledge to set them up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to wean ourselves from dependence on social media to engage readers. With OneSignal, we have succeed and our news stories reach our target audience of readers who care about local news.
OneSignal is the Best!
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about OneSignal is its ease of setup. It was very quick for me to get up an running.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any downsides to report. It is very easy to send out push notifications and very easy to track as well!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently I am working with them to upgrade my plan, but I need to know if there is a governor before i do that since the new costs are based on number of users that subscribe.
A great messaging solution
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, great interface and fast processing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Administration of users is a bit hard to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In Canada, Facebook is hiding news so we can reach our customers in another way.
One Signal helps us use notifications to push our blog readers into leads
What do you like best about the product?
OneSignal has an east set up process that integrates with our Wordpress blog, making it no more than a click of a button to send out notifications to contacts who turn on push notifications in their browser. We can also track how many new people enable notifications for our site and how often people are clicking through, making it easy to track performance and to give us another way to engage with blog readers to help drive them to lead status.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the free account features are a bit limited but if you're looking to simply try this tool out on your site, it offers enough for you evaluate the other elements it offers too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We get a pretty significant amount of blog traffic to our site that doesn't always engage with on-page CTAs or enroll directly into our newsletter sign up. Since this is enabled through the user's browser, we're able to take advantage of the notification option to help re-engage readers who may have not converted directly. As part of our strategy this helps us notify existing leads as well as potential leads about new relevant content we're sharing on our blog.
