Six years in and it's become part of my standard dev workflow

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
After six years using Mixpanel across everything from side projects to enterprise apps, what keeps me coming back is how effortless the integration is. You're literally up and running with a few lines of code - no complex setup, no wrestling with documentation for hours. The interface strikes this perfect balance where non-technical teammates can dig into the data without getting lost, but I can still build complex funnels and cohort analyses when needed. It's become such a standard part of my workflow that setting up Mixpanel is now on my new project checklist right alongside initializing git. That kind of seamless adoption is rare in analytics tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, their advanced use case documentation could be better. Sometimes I end up figuring things out through trial and error instead of clear examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Mixpanel, I was stuck cobbling together basic Google Analytics with custom database queries to understand user behavior - which meant either getting surface-level insights or spending hours writing SQL for every question. Mixpanel solved the "black box" problem where you ship features and just hope they work. Now I can track specific user actions, see exactly where people drop off in funnels, and understand which features actually drive retention versus the ones that look impressive but nobody uses.
The biggest benefit is speed of iteration. Instead of waiting weeks for "comprehensive analysis," I can answer questions like "do users who complete onboarding stick around longer?" in minutes. This has completely changed how I approach product decisions - from gut feelings and assumptions to actual data-driven choices. Plus, it's democratized insights across the team. Our designers and product managers can explore user behavior themselves instead of constantly asking me to run queries. That alone has probably saved me 5-10 hours per week while making everyone more informed about what's actually happening in our products.

What do you like best about the product?
We pipe a TON of events through mixpanel and it is ultra fast to query. I use it multiple times a day and it is my preferred analytics tool. It's easy for our team to add new events and track things.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things it does are unclear and can lead the team to question the data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversion optimization

Game changer in how we hace product discussions.

What do you like best about the product?
We use mixpanel for two pourposes in our company: as a product management tool, and as a growth /experimentation tool. What we like the most about mixpanel is its adaptability to different use cases. The platform is robust in features so we can cover our needs, but also easy to use enough so we don't have to centralize our operations and become bottlenecks for people. Each team leader has access to the platform and configures it for what they need.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the areas we didn't like about mixpanel when we started was a couple of changes in our account management contact / partner network. We met a local organization, stablished a relatinonship and just when things were taking of they changed us to another organization that was a bit intense in getting to acknoledge that we were ok with the transition but never really contacted us again to provide any sort of value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel is helping us to prioritize our product feature backlog and add a data-driven process to running our growth experiments.

Solid product analytics platform that also helps in everyday customer support workflow

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Versatility.
I have my own usage in my daily workflow as customer support manager, while the company relies on it to do more in dept analytics. But when I need to know something more about anything that runs with our customers, it can easily come in help!
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot say, it simply satisfies my needs, so there's nothing I can complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly looking at customer logs and activity, knowing who they are and what they did, essential to deal with the subscription management, and very useful in case of potential bugs or failure chase.
The integration with Recurly and WordPress/WooCommerce and Insider makes it the correct solution to collect the data from the first ones and pass them building powerful cohorts.
The details in the events we can track make it superversatile.

A must use for every SaaS product

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful reporting: funnels, retention, and cohorts make trends obvious fast.
Flow analysis clearly maps real user journeys and drop-off points.
Easy to segment by plan, platform, geo, and release - great for A/B reads.
Easy to understand dashboards for non-tech/ exec audience.
Alerts keep stakeholders aligned on key metrics.
Helps us map user stories end-to-end and tie them to activation/churn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Queries on very large date ranges can feel a bit slow during peak hours. That's it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps us understand exactly how users interact with our product, everything from first-time activation to long-term retention. By tracking events and mapping user journeys, we quickly identify drop-off points and friction in the onboarding flow. Funnel and cohort analyses give our product and marketing teams the insights they need to run A/B tests, measure engagement, and reduce churn.

Easy to setup, indispensible product interaction telemetry

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Mixpanel is that it offers robust tooling that enables you to drill down and obtain certainty about your products. It unifies a suite of powerful tools into an easy-to-use package. It's also worth mentioning they have an intelligently designed SDK that won't drain/abuse mobile device battery/thermal state by recklessly firing off events across the network.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful thing is probably the rigid pricing. You have to pay for the whole suite even if you only use a fraction of the offerings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps us understand how customers use our apps, evaluating experimental vs control cohorts, and supplementary context when debugging technical issues.

My Daily Dashboard for Product Insights

  • September 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is like my daily newspaper for product usage updates. It’s incredibly easy to implement, and creating boards and reports takes just minutes. The UI feels intuitive, and I can quickly explore any data point or statistic without friction. Exporting data works seamlessly, which makes it easy to share insights across teams. The funnel analysis features make it simple to uncover user behavior patterns, and the dashboards are customizable enough to fit both quick checks and deep dives. I haven’t interacted with their support team very often, but the few times I did (two or three times), they were responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile experience isn’t as strong as the desktop version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps me track and understand how users interact with our product on a daily basis. It solves the challenge of getting quick, reliable insights without waiting on engineering or data teams. With funnels, cohorts, and retention reports, I can easily spot trends, identify drop-offs, and measure feature adoption.

The biggest benefit is speed, I can go from a question to an actionable insight in minutes, which helps us make product decisions faster and with more confidence.

Mixpanel is my key tool as a Product Manager

  • September 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use it daily in my work as a PM, it helps me take decisions and be informed. I love the UX and how intuitive everything is.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are down times and I get reports that aren't saved and need to redo them.
I also can make reports where I exclude a property and when I look at the dropped off users, I can still find events that qualify them in the other cohort, but I'm not sure if this is a mixpanel issue or not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me take data informed decisions in my role as a Product Manager
