What do you like best about the product?
Over the years the way Mixpanel lets you setup and visualise your reports has become my own mental model for thinking about product analytics. It is very intuitive to use at the high level and makes it easy to get your head around the next layer of detail. When I use it I feel like I am following best practice.
What do you dislike about the product?
This was a while ago so may no longer be relevant but I work at a B2B SaaS company and it was quite difficult to work out how to measure metrics per business rather than per user. It was solved with the groups feature but it was quite cumbersome to get there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understand how our customers are using new and existing features so we can make decisions about improving these features or prioritising new initiatives on our roadmap.

Best tool for tracking and optimizing user journeys

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy Mixpanel makes it to track user behavior and build custom reports without needing heavy SQL knowledge. The funnel and retention features are very intuitive, and dashboards make it simple to share insights with stakeholders. It helps us quickly identify what’s driving engagement and where users drop off. The real-time tracking is also a huge plus for fast decision-making.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the learning curve can be steep for new team members, especially when setting up advanced event tracking or integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel helps us go beyond vanity metrics and truly understand user behavior across our product. By analyzing funnels, retention, and cohort trends, we can quickly spot where users are dropping off and optimize those experiences. It has made our decision-making much faster because product and marketing teams don’t need to wait on engineering or BI support for reports. Overall, it has improved activation rates, boosted retention, and aligned the team around data-driven goals.

What do you like best about the product?
I think Mixpanel is the best product analytics tool out there. It’s flexible, yet simple and intuitive.

I believe mixpanel could be even more intuitive and make advanced features/analyses more accessible.

What do you like best about the product?
Every time I notice that a feature I need is missing, they seem to add it about a week later. Honestly, I am sure they are spying on me. If that's so, please go ahead.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of any drawbacks. It's a very solid product that continues to receive constant and meaningful improvements.

I stay on top of my product, allowing me to ask various questions and uncover valuable insights about it.

I like the fact that everything is possible to understand data, and also I like that we have some dashboard established by a data analyst

When you are not used to this kind of software, it can be difficult to undertsand how to build the dashboard, knowing what you have to study, and how to build a dashboard

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to visualise data, organise dashboards, easy to plug for devs
What do you dislike about the product?
- cannot see annotation directly in graphs, would be amazing
- impossible to duplicate Custom Events !!!!
- color management
- impossible to hide inherited filters in a board in a dashboards
- difficult to share (except screenshots)

There's no modern product management without Mixpanel

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Mixpanel throughout my entire career in product management (6+ years), and to me, data-driven product management equals Mixpanel.

Without it, I wouldn’t be able to confidently ship serious features - nor truly understand what’s happening in production. I rely on Mixpanel to gather user feedback, monitor overall product health, identify patterns, debug stuff, and recruit users for qualitative research.

I use it almost every day. It’s intuitive, easy to use, and clearly built by people who understand what product managers and researchers need.

I’ve implemented Mixpanel across two companies, four products, and several side projects and I plan to continue championing it in future roles as well.

Also, the recent redesign was excellent - cleaner, faster, and a real step forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not much. I’ve tried multiple other product analytics tools (Amplitude, Smartlook, Heap, Pendo, etc.), and Mixpanel consistently comes out on top.

The only improvement I’d love to see is a smoother way to view and track sequences of events in a user’s activity feed. Right now, it can feel a bit clunky to open each event one by one just to check properties and piece together context. Having a more streamlined timeline view would make this process much easier, but I don't have a ready solution in mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I rely on Mixpanel to gather user feedback, monitor overall product health, identify patterns, debug issues, and recruit users for qualitative research. It gives me a clear view of what’s happening with my product across the entire lifecycle, helping me make confident decisions that move the business forward without the risk of breaking things along the way.

The ability to build different kinds of flow diagrams and understand user flows.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't necessarily dislike anything about Mixpanel. Sometimes in this new world, I wish that I could just ask questions from Mixpanel and get answers based on the data available—an AI chatbot-like feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem solved by Mixpanel is understanding user behavior and flows on our applications. I also benefit a lot from the ability to use data on Mixpanel to present to investors.
