mimecast tenant for cyber and email security
What do you like best about the product?
I was basic admin with mimecast then promoted as super admin for mimecast tenant. For me mimecast best in preventing spoof emails and also for attachment protection. Mimecast profile group for managing multiple security policy in same directory.

What do you dislike about the product?
Mimecast support usually takes 24 to 48 hours in terms of request acknowledgement. There should be easy option to escalate urgent matter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Reliable, robust, feature rich and always innovating
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the real-time view of email using the tracking feature. Being able to see immediately the receipt of emails and how they are being assesed is really important. Also, the great range of security features make me confortable that Mimecast is protecting us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike. It has all the features and services I care about in email security, with a few extras our users love, like Large File Send.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mimecast is scanning and detecting threats to our inbound email. These threats range from typical AV infected emails, to phishing, to impersonation attempts, to URL hijacking. Mimecast also offers a 99 year archive, so we can restore individual or bulk mail from users going back to day-1.
Good range of security tools that are adapted for evolving threats
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is extended regularly with new features to deal with evolving threats. Having a quarterly review to ensure that we are getting the most from the system and it's configured based on best practice is a nice touch and provides value. The mail archive is useful for industry compliance retention purposes as is the content examination feature making sure that customers don't send us credit card numbers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the 'enhancements' have made the system more difficult / cumbersome to administer, such as the removing of the tabs. The system is also expensive, and annual rises of 8% which is mandated to support R&D is steep.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to keep the business safe against email based risks and filtering out unwanted spam emails.
An extra layer of email security
What do you like best about the product?
Securtiy aspect of email, Catching emails with policies that can be customised, Automatic spam score and catching emails. Integrtes as an add in with outlook classic. Provides an extra layer of security. Being able to check reports for spam, phising attempts.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI in the administration side and getting to certain screens is difficult, you might need to go through 5 screens just to set up delegate inboxes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Impersonation attempts, Phishing emails, Most of them get stopped by mimecast before reaching a users inbox
It's amazing how many emails it stops for us!
What do you like best about the product?
The automated spam screening is probably the best feature as I do not need to worry about emails that fail graylisting, are in RBL, ones that Mimecast detects as having spam content, and email addresses/domains that users themselves want to be blocked.
The customisation of the policies is fantastic too and really allows us to easily finetune what actions we want taking on certain emails and allows us to override it when we do not want action to be taken.
Customer support is really good and the documentation available is useful. I have also completed the Mimecast University and I would recommend this to anyone who is administrating Mimecast.
The large file send and secure message send are part of our business practices now and we feel safe knowing that these types of emails are sent correctly and securely, and with automatically generated instructions to the recipients so we don't need to explain to them what to do.

The upgrades last year to the administrator console were in my opinion a bit of a downgrade. I have given it time to settle in my mind, but I liked having the tabs open rather than having to open a tab on my browser.

Spam, sharing large emails, sending secure emails, phishing attempts, email achiving
Reliable and effective
What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast reliably handles email with effective scanning for malware, impersonation attacks etc. No realistic alternatives in the field.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin user interface is confusing but at least it hasn't significantly changed over the last few years so once you get used to it you can live with its idiosyncracies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preventing massive amount of spam at source, dealing with malware before users click on dangerous links.
A Supremely Flexible Security Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast has many security features — once properly configured for your business, it proves to be a robust line of defense in a cyber defense strategy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial configuration and set up can be cumbersome. This can be improved with better "hand holding" when onboarding clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mimecast helps our business email remain secure, and keeps our users well protected against email-based cyber attacks.
Great products, easy to use, great documentation, support, and customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Knowledgebase is very extensive so we can self-serve a lot. But if we need to we can contact support and they are very good at responding. Lots of focus on improving products as well as customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not really any bad incidents that i can think of to label a 'dislike'.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Moving to a cloud-based provider has greatly reduced our administrative overhead. We are always short of time so this has been great. Mimecast is trying to be more proactive and again this has been great because we are short of time and the ideas Mimecast have been coming up with help bring things to attention that we might not have been thinking about.

Great Application but confusing polices config.
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Mimecast advanced Email security for almost two years now and use it almost everyday. The Best feature I would say is its robust policies and variety of polcies which covers all the of threate coming from email. It has the best URL protection complemented by Sandboxing.
The implementaion was also easy thanks to their support staffs and Integration with m365 was easy.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main frustrations with Mimecast Advanced Email Security is its not so perfect New Outlook addin. It requires continous loggin and it doesn't work as good as the old Outlook Plugin. The variety of policies also makes it difficult to track and configure new policies, making it confusing. This lack ease in policy configuration can slow down the process and require extra effort to manage effectively, having to contact Mimecast Support everytime but the support is always helpful which is a plus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mimecast is benefiting us with anti spoofing, blocking spams, malwares and links basically helping our org and staff be sage in Outlook.
