Very sound product and helps keep our emails safe.

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is clean and configuration is easy with the aide of info links.
What do you dislike about the product?
Past outage communication was lacking but has been addressed since the last major outage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've had problems with impersonation email getting through and with Mimecast Threat Protection I can now stop it from getting to our employees. The URL monitoring and attachment sandbox testing are also great features preventing possible threats.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great product if you have problems with phishing & impersonation emails getting through.

What do you like best about the product?
Bottom line, the results. After having 3 encryption virus attacks through email we knew it was time to add security to our system so we added Mimecast and haven't looked back.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little intimidating setting it up at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spam is so much more manageable and we have had zero intrusions. Employees are spending less time managing their email.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a very thorough software with a lot of standard and optional features. We used a third party to help implement it, which was good for us as this was the first time for us to use this kind of software.

Great Defense against Malware, Spam and More

What do you like best about the product?
Sandboxing of attachments to check for malware and ransomware
along with URL rewriting with in the emails for better detection of day one attacks
O' did I for get the spam filtering too
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found any downside to use Mimecast the support is outstanding
always there to answer questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can sleep at night know that we are protected there was a time we quarantined every in bound email attachment for manual review, my users get accurate spam detection and daily reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you do not have some sort of sandboxing of attachments and email filter, you need to do this now... Normal anti-virus protection on an on-prem or cloud based system will not do.
Ask your Mimecast Sales Rep they will help you with cost justification...I can do that its the insurance against your next ransomware attack

What do you like best about the product?
Portal speed and ease of use. Documentation is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
some of the policies can be a little confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
URL and attachment protection work very well. We have end-users that continue to click on any link despite giving them cyber security training with focus on email phishing/spam.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You need to purchase the attachment and URL security features. Secure email is another great feature that we use for our HR dept.

What do you like best about the product?
Works really well, very few issues, very helpful support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Outlook Plugin shows if you're signed in either with domain authentication or cloud authentication. Problem is you only need to be signed in with one. This confuses our users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It handles our Spam filtering quite nicely, also provides a great way for us to trace and search for email that people think was lost.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Support and lack of downtime are key when considering anything that will be involved in your Email ecosystem. Mimecast has consistently been great to work with, the services solid, and the support excellent. We couldn't ask for a more responsive partner. The system itself handles things well. Their archiving is also wonderful.

What do you like best about the product?
The protection it provides is excellent, and has done a better job at catching malicious emails than other products we've used in the past.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is slightly cumbersome to navigate, with some settings not being very easy to define and implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our end users receive less spam and malicious email than before, limiting our exposure to viruses, malware, and ransomware.

What do you like best about the product?
Alerting mechanism and peace of mind the product will add a layer of security to our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish they had a way to remove phishing emails by subject and not by ID alone.

What do you like best about the product?
Accuracy, ease of use of the MSO, ease of administration, SOLID Tech Support!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no real dislikes, very convenient and great protection
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We saw a significant reduction in Spam, and having the ability to create custom rules for attachment protection is valuable

What do you like best about the product?
The Mimecast system works well and is cloud based rather than an appliance on site. Users can easily release held messages through outlook which saves IT time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Black listing of email addresses for all users could be so much easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phishing, spam, spoofing
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Train users to utilize the tools available to them. This will save your IT department valuable time.

What do you like best about the product?
The notifications that come with emails that are borderline spam/phishing putting the control in the user's hands
What do you dislike about the product?
Whitelisting and setting up rules can be a daunting task until you are used to the admin console
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phishing emails and malware. We noticed a huge reduction in phishing emails once we were setup and had the link connected to our Office 365 environment.
