Mimecast Email Security
What do you like best about the product?
On Hold Messages available to review at a later date if need be. Outlook Plugin to instantly Block Senders you don't want to receive messages from. Online access to email in the event our Exchange Server went down.
What do you dislike about the product?
It offers impersonation attack, yet they continue to slip through.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Impersonation emails slip through. Benefits are significantly less spam, and ability to easily Block Sender using the Outloook plug-in.

What do you like best about the product?
Simply out, Mimecast rocks! We have been using Mimecast for several years now and it has stopped countless threats. We switched to Mimecast from Proofpoint and the difference between the two is night and day. Mimecast is a feature rich platform that provides everything we need to stop e-mail based threats. The URL protection is worth the price alone and also offers a bit of user training. It virtually eliminates junk mail from reaching our inboxes. The held e-mail digest is easy to use for end users. The Mimecast platform is HIGHLY configurable and integrates well with o365. They have made many improvements to various parts of the interface over the years which have made management much more streamlined.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mimecast is not cheap. I have not compared it to other offerings in a couple of years but it costs more than we were paying for our previous solution. The platform offers a lot of configuration options and this can be difficult to navigate at times. Thankfully their tech support resources are very comprehensive. I can find step by step instruction for almost every task in the interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bottom line, we use Mimecast to mitigate risks in e-mail messages. The platform goes above and beyond what you would generally expect from a security vendor. I can only imagine the issues we would have faced without this service.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the depth of features for keeping our email system secure. Targeted Threat Protection and Impersonation Protection are two examples.
What do you dislike about the product?
The management console has improved over the years but still requires a good deal of learning. I don't know if it could be made any easier though. I would also like to see events logged in my time zone, everything is logged ET.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We feel Mimecast solves most if not all email born security threats. This keeps us focused on work instead of combating viruses, malware, ransomware, phishing, and impersonation attempts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I know I have the top email protection as every competitor compares themselves to Mimecast
Mimecast is really one of the most full featured Email protection platforms around.

The configuration ability. The system is very configurable and support is there to help

At first when we started the configuration was intimidating. I didn't know what I didn't know.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lots of spam email. DKIM outgoing (not offered with Exchange on prem).

Do it. Once you learn it the platform is POWERFUL.
A Must Have for Law Firm's
What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast is constantly evolving to meet the needs of today's threats. I also love the ability to definitely track any mail delivery issues. A robust Outlook Add-In also gives us the ability to leverage many useful features without the need to go outside of our mail client. Azure Authentication has also simplified security and accessing Mimecast's services.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have additional technologies added to our package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of our biggest threats are emails designed to steal user's passwords. Mimecast helps identify these sites and prevent users from accessing them. Although we train our users, phishing e-mails are becoming more sophisticated and Mimecast has evolved to meet the challenges of these evolving threats.
Time Saver
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I don't have to weed through lots of junk every day. The fact that it is easy to quickly allow items to flow through from my iPhone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once in a while something valid will get caught.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time wasted weeding out the junk from the real messages.
It's Come A Long Way!
What do you like best about the product?
I have seen the number of issues caused by not having an email security service drop to almost nothing. There are some emails that make it through, but a quick trip to the blocked senders list and making sure end users are educated to contact me if they notice something that doesn't look right. Always better to be safe that sorry. Also getting to see the volume of threats that are prevented by quickly navigating to the Threat dashboard and the amazing visibility into the exact threats as well as where in the world they originated.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we first started using Mimecast, it was very difficult to navigate through and i always ended up having to reach out to support for assistance. I give everyone at Mimecast a lot of credit, they have constantly been improving the user interface. I wouldn't say it there yet, but they are getting there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of the biggest issues that were the main reason why we implemented Mimecast are Phishing and Impersonation. The headaches that are caused by those two alone not to mention the lost capital when someone thinks the CEO needs them to send money via wire transfer only to find out later that they gave away the company's money to someone pretending to be the CEO. The dashboards that have been implemented have been a valuable asset making it quick and easy to gain visibility on whats going on.
Great Product, Easy to Use

The service is reliable and accurate.
Mimecast is continually adding new security features to their offerings and do a great job of letting people know through emails and webinars.
The reporting features and ease of searching is fantastic.
The product is so solid and reliable that I am almost ashamed to admit that I rarely access the admin portal, and when I do I quickly realize how much I forgot!!

What do you dislike about the product?
The web interface isn't all that easy to navigate. I guess with so many options and fine tuning available, it's inevitable that navigating menus and submenus and sub-sub menus would be required. I'd like to see a "basic" view option with just the most commonly accessed parts grouped together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The incessant email phishing and spam/virus activity requires a good solution. Mimecast provides that security solution as I mentioned previously, it's a scalable solution with many options that can fit pretty much any of my clients' needs from 5 users to 500.

Possibility to check the links and be sure that you will not do anything wrong

Price which comes after every new feature

Most issues comes when users clicks on the malicious and get infected. This feature will help to prevent it and hope will king of train end users to see that a "legit" link can be not really legit.

Very powerfull system with many options and great customer service and support.

The Mimecast customer support is exceptional. They respond quickly and will follow up until the question is resolved

There are times when spam emails get through. Mimecast is very responsive when I report the spam.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We obviously use Mimecast to monitor and filter all outside emails. In addition we have used the Mimecast Continuity feature when our Exchange Server was unavailable. This was a lifesaver and was completely transparent to our users. When the server was back up, the folders were synched automatically. I constantly take advantage of the Mimecast updates on current concerns and industry standards. I also participate in the Mimecast live online presentations as often as possible.

Mimecast is the best Email security and threat protection available.They take your concerns very seriously and follow up with solutions.
