Great Security Product
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of options to set up security and email protection. Anti-Spoofing, Phishing, spam, virus and the list goes on. Gives you option to setup whitelist, blacklist, greylist, and so much more. Also product improves monthly and updates are great with new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation is not easy, takes time to get used too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps us with Phishing and protecting against almost all the "bad guys" out there.
Mimecast is a simple, easy to use program, both for the users and administrators.
What do you like best about the product?
Outlook plugins, daily hold queue email.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration complexity (very grainular)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email archiving and spam type email filtering.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While we do have false positives, they could easily be remediated by loosening our policies. Mimecast has done a great job of filtering the bad while letting the legit through.

What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast provides excellent email protection and management features. I also really like their support as I am able to get some one to help me really quickly when there are any questions or issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I haven't found any major issues that are a real show stoppers for us. There have been some Mimecast outages recently that were a little painful but aside from that the service is very good. Also Mimecast plugin for outlook for Office 365 doesn't work with pass through authentication. If that can be fixed it would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Mimecast we are able to provide email protection to our users and also features such as secure email and large file attachments that our email system doesn't provide. We are also able to track emails much more easily using Mimecast's builtin message tracking features which also helps us resolve issues faster.
Excellent email security service
What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast offers a variety of services to protect end users from potential security threats via email. There are highly customizable policies that can protect end users from malicious attachments, phishing attacks, etc. Also great customer service!
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been a few outages since we partnered with Mimecast which sometimes prevents end users from accessing files and other content in emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since utilizing Mimecast's technology, we have had very few issues with email security. This system allows us to spend less time dealing with malicious emails arriving in people's inboxes.
Expensive, but you get what you pay for! It's been great.
What do you like best about the product?
We haven't had a successful intrusion in a few years since going with Mimecast. We get threat reports and can see who is being targeted and who is sending the emails to them. The interface is nice and the outlook plugin is clean. There is a "held" mail that you can review before releasing which is a very useful feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is the only drawback; implementation can be a bit of a challenge as well. Initial setup is guided far more than if you add on features later. We found we paid for something we didn't end up implementing for quite some time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spam, Phishing, and Ransomware attempts have been thwarted. You realize just how much your staff would click on (or have clicked on historically).
Mimecast provides the granularity of control we need.
What do you like best about the product?
The effective granularity of control allows us to craft policies that fit our organizational needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there was API integration to O365. Several other solutions we looked at provide the integration with O365 allowing more administrative control over Exchange Online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to effectively protect our employees from inbound email threats. Mimecast allows our users to self manage their held email which relieves pressure from IT staff.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a close look at the customization of rule creation available in Mimecast. I'm confident you'll find a highly effective product that allows organizations to craft a policy set that fits their needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Web portal and app access make it available everywhere. Seems to be very thorough
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve of administration after the initial setup is sharp. Took a long time to get used to the general workflow and location of things in Mimecast admin portal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spam and spoofing attacks. The security settings have really helped minimize the amount that used to slip through to our users.
Love Mimecast Security
What do you like best about the product?
Blocks the bad things and keeps the good. Easy to use and when I have questions, support is more than happy to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes good gets blocked, but thats okay and is part of the security game.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spam, Malicious content. There is alot out there is what I realize and without Mimecast, we wouldn't be able to be as secure
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it. You wont know how you lived without it. You are not secure unless you have Mimecast as part of your Company Security.
Mimecast is easy to use, I don't receive 100's of bogus emails and I can release what I want.
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to go back for years and search through both received and sent emails to find something I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't like have to go to my browser and login in all the time but Outlook Integration resolved that issue!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I feel pretty secure that Mimecast filters hundreds of threats in emails that I don't ever have to see.
Minecast has been a solid email security platform for us
What do you like best about the product?
There support is very responsive and knowledgeable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a big fan of the layout of the admin console. It can be a little challenging to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It adds a protection layer to our network environment that I wasn't getting through Microsoft. The ease of maintenance and security piece of mind are best.
