Strong feature set, reliable protection, easy to administer once you learn the system
What do you like best about the product?
The level of protection is great and easy for users to interact with
What do you dislike about the product?
Sales is downright awful, one of the worst I have worked with. Thankfully we only deal with them once a year. Support is ok, but difficult to reach at times and slow to respond.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the end of the day Mimecast does what we ask it to do; provide strong multilayered protection for our email communications that is reasonably easy to administer and for user interaction
Best email security solution
What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion (30 years experience), this is the best Email Security product on the market. No other solution gives you control over your email like Mimecast does.
What do you dislike about the product?
What's there to dislike? I can't think of anything right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stops Impersonation attacks in my business and helps prevent Ransomware attacks

What do you like best about the product?
The system is stable, and we never experienced any downtime or issues, which is great for our business continuity setup. The featured portfolio is extensive and covers most of the security features we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be confusing at times and requires a lot of steps to get to performing the action, and can be quite confusing for inexperienced staff members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Filtering out the malicious attempts and attacks on our internal users, and providing a convenient self-service tool empowering end users to control their mailbox content, but also helping our Internal support team and overall system security.

I think Mimecast has a lot of cool features that allow for customization and effective email security.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue with Mimecast is their support team. Attempting to receive support regarding an issue you may come across is almost impossible now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do not use targeted threat protection
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Mimecast is a slid product but it requires learning and researching. If you understand the product you can get enough out of it, but the difficulties with the support over the years have left a negative taste in my mouth

What do you like best about the product?
Well it's safe file attachments conversion and the archiving features along with its customer support which is blazing fast.

Nothing as a downside about but an added on premise solution could better expand business opportunities.

sometimes it takes a long process to train the app that something is safe

DMARC. The detection made by Mimecast is less compared to other competitors

Mimecast Email Security provides great protection!
What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast Email Security provides great protection against bad actors. Once in place, it does a great job at detecting unwanted emails and threats to your email organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike, I like a lot of the features that it offers. One thing that I do like is that you can put feature requests to improve the product. One downside is that it can take an extended period of time to see those requests actually come to life.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides great protection for the email environment and peace of mind especially at night knowing that a service is providing a valuable service. Users are more confident about having valid emails in their Inbox VS spam.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can do a proof of concept in your environment in order to test, go for it.
I am using Mimecast since 2020 January and it had protected my email suit successfully

URL protection is very good and it block many phishing attacks
What do you dislike about the product?
Many falls detection I found and it bother when your CEO is not receiving an important mail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were getting too many targeted attacks and impersonation attacks. Mimecast successfully protected us from this type of attacks since we start using it.
