What do you like best about the product?
The performance, stability and compatibility are signficant value add features for this product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The footprint can be significant and the replication constrtaints cna be limiting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File transfer configuration mangement and history tracking. The product is extremely stable, reliable and robust.
DB2 for CMOD
What do you like best about the product?
Using DB/2 to support the IBM Content Manager OnDemand seamless. The scaliblity of DB2 for Z/OS is outstanding in performance
What do you dislike about the product?
The is not much to dislike. The cross platform connection from distributred to z/os can be a challange to setup correct.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to support millions of rows for indexing with fast retrieveal rates

We use DB2 for our WCS product, which is powerful with good performance

no cluster features. we hope IBM can offer better support for DB2.

When first starting it is difficult to understand the error codes

I am a developer and we store update or do delete using DB2
Consistency and long-use on retail
What do you like best about the product?
We use DB2 on a large retail company on Brazil, and on sazonal times we support over 8,000 conections per minute. That`s impressive and help company a lot on growth and support sales.

Value ($) ond itself. Too expensive to mantain.

All sales applications are on Db2 today.

The many options for creating queries, particularly the good integration with different date and time types.

It can be quite hard to find the content of a view in z/OS DB2

We have been using Db2 for ever.

The command interface is great. Wish there's a JSON/YAML interface

Nothing in general, except that it's not available for developer grade free version

DB2 is scalable in that we can grow without disruption to workflows. The integrity and resilence is stable and since moving to DB2.LUW we have had minimal downtime relative to product
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing module for DB2.LUW is still based on a distributive platform. For those running the product under LInux on the mainframe, product expense could steer folks away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are beginning to experiment with partitioning for certain datasets. This allows a bit more isolation as well as better processing.
