DB2 database pro vs con
What do you like best about the product?
It supports large volume of data efficiently and db performance and statistics remains good
What do you dislike about the product?
Sits on mainframe, requires additional skills in debugging DBA activities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access provisioning and role profile definition

For making queries I enjoyed it. It is able to build off different types for searches and storing data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much for me to complain about in all honesty.

Data searching. Building the database is easier and optimal for finding words or items when searching.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Improvise with what you are using this for. I knew someone who did something like this for ethnography

The stability provided by this IBM product cannot be matched, which is evidenced by how long the product has been in use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pack of innovation within the app is a definate point of frustration.

Database management has been made significantly more effienct due to our use of DB2

What do you like best about the product?
Being on an IBM AS400 server means you can sleep well at night and not have to worry about the server crashing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very flexible table structure. Hard to find any more talent.

Our enterprise system runs on DB2, all the transactions we process flow through this server.

This system requires little maintenance and patching.
