Robust RDBMS
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to install and deploy. Supported by multiple operating platforms. Good online community support available.

Database size limitations and lack of standard monitoring tool.

Our Enterprise data warehouse is on db2. We have been able to store data from multiple sources in a centralized location.
An intuitive database language
What do you like best about the product?
Its syntax is different from the traditional SSMS or MySQL and hence it makes it unique to work with. Works faster with IBM Software tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are someone who has always worked on SQL Server, it would be a little typical to catch on.

We carried out trainings on db2 to work with a project. I am a db2 certified associate.

IBM Db2 is a DB used by developers because they can use it without the assistance of a database administrator, even with minimal skills.

We are developing a wide range of applications running on DB2. If you want horizontal scaling, DB2 is a way to go. With a single level storage, you add a new drive and you are good to go. No issues with reability and stability.

DB2 DB is ok but not for modern apps, it’s good for legacy apps. Works well with CICS.

Quick and easy Implementation in lesser cost
What do you like best about the product?
It was a lovely experience to work with the IBM Db2 team providing ultimate level of philosophy around delivering quality and performance in a cost-effective manner.The product 'just works' and the IBM team couldn't be any more helpful. Very reliable product.Security is very high and security is been considered seriously which can't be compromised with not affecting the performance at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that IBM does not push the benefits of Db2 vs. Oracle and HANA, as the database of choice for SAP. Needs to be adopt and adapt modern interfaces in a agile manner. Integration with IDAA needs to be made more transparent.

Cost effectiveness by replacing SAP. Complete Adoption of maturing technologies with manageable risk. Data Warehouse and Data Management solution for Analytics.

Allocate extra resources than the load expected (keep buffer to expedite the implementation. Support from IBM Db2 team is awesome as compared to other vendors like Oracle and SAP. Better publicize the benefits of running SAP on Db2. Push IBM for more modern interfaces. Technlogy is very solid and reliable
