What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to manage and configure according to the needs.

Nothing. It basically able to provide and support the needed requirements

Helps in organizing the business needs. Used to store data and used as a reference
Excellent, stable product for ECM
What do you like best about the product?
We use DB2 for our IBM Content Manager Enterprise Edition environment. We went through the tuning process and the product practically runs itself. We tuned the environment when we hooked up CMIS but generally do not need to adjust anything. We also implemented PowerShell-based maintenance scripts which are able to use DB2 features to dynamically calculate which tables need to be run through the maintenance process for things like runstats and reorgs. This has greatly lowered our maintenance window over the static scripts we used to employ.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be rather daunting to figure out solutions for things like database replication due to production name changes and rebranding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use DB2 for our IBM Content Manager Enterprise Edition and IBM Content Manager OnDemand systms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This product is far easier to install, configure and maintain than other products like Oracle.

The ability to be able to query directly to columns without having to create queries

Should have more description on the help. Don't just say -511 and put a technical description. So that novice or not so technical people will be able to know what went wrong

The performance, stability and compatibility are signficant value add features for this product.

The footprint can be significant and the replication constrtaints cna be limiting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File transfer configuration mangement and history tracking. The product is extremely stable, reliable and robust.

I like that it is easy to access the data

When first starting it is difficult to understand the error codes

I am a developer and we store update or do delete using DB2
Consistency and long-use on retail
What do you like best about the product?
We use DB2 on a large retail company on Brazil, and on sazonal times we support over 8,000 conections per minute. That`s impressive and help company a lot on growth and support sales.

Value ($) ond itself. Too expensive to mantain.
