What do you like best about the product?
- It decreases replication of data, as it can access all of data.
- larger files are supported.
- Powerful SQL dialect in comparison of others.
- Multiple platform support.
- self-tuning memory management.

- less efficient monitoring tools.

I was replicating a huge dataset and I encountered with memory management. Sometimes it also failed to connect with server.

IBM DB2 is quite pretty platform for everyone. It gives alot of which might be helpful for your project. Many developers and big organisation are working with it.

IBM Db2 can handle data marts and then come up into a bigger data warehouse which is very easy to implement if you know how to use ibm db2

"Overall very good experience with DB2 database, IBM DB2 is very fast and responsive and scale able database server. We use IBM DB2 from 10+ years ago. our ERP system on DB2 and plus other business applications is integrated with DB2. The DB2 is very responsive and efficient product."

support to object-relational features and non-relational structures like JSON and XML is my favorite

What do you like best about the product?
Using SQL to interrogate a database is very helpful. I also find actually looking at specific tables helpful in finding information. Linking several tables in SQL can save a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to access to specific tables without authorization, even in a test environment!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Checking specific details of a particular record and linking that information through the table structure can be very helpful. Benefits are being able to get a clear picture of a particular record in establishing where data corruption be found.

Need a lot of patience, but the results can be well worth it.
We didn't face any issues while working with DB2.

It's fast and stable. If you know the little differences then it's a good choice for you.

It's hard to find someone who really knows and use it nowadays.
Maybe because lack of the company permission but I didn't use 3rd party software to manage the database and sometimes challenging to write complex queries from scratch.

All flat rolled products production data go there, so basically the problem we solved with DB2 is the whole production from A to Z.

I have no idea about the price, but if it's not an issue for you then DB2 can be a great choice.

I have used this DB for relational data. It is easy to work with and perfect UI.
