The customer success team is helpful and the UI is great and easy to use.

Nothing, it was a great experience and as well as a good learning.

They are helping us strengthen our Information Security Posture and helping us achieve ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance.
Made a painful certification process very simple
What do you like best about the product?
Let's be clear - infosec certification is not a fun or glamorous process, but it is necessary. And Scrut made it as painless as possible. Our assign rep, Dev, was very friendly and knowledgeable in the space. We had productive meetings at a regular cadence going over our progress and next steps. Kudos to those in the IST timezone -- it was impossible to tell!
Where applicable, they provided our team with easy-to-use templates and forms to get us off the ground with audit-related documentation. The forms they generated on our behalf saved us a non-trivial amount of work. Their website has a respectable number of plugins to automatically pull in information, such as a vendor list, and show you your outstanding tasks. We were probably using this website every other day and found it quite easy to use. Overall, I felt that Scrut did a great job holding our hand through the process and was worth the investment.

What do you dislike about the product?
Their website could use a bit of UX work. Some pages have features to be desired, like filtering on certain table columns or saving the page of results you were previously on. But there was no issue so significant it prevented us from doing our jobs.
The only reason I would dock a star is that there was occasional typos and incorrect grammar in the English templates/forms they provided. To be fair, it wasn't anything so egregious that it would have cost us an audit. But it doesn't look great, and it forced us to closely check the documents they gave us instead of taking it at face value.

The platform can be better optimized. For example, the process to upload files for multiple periods is unnecessarily duplicative.

What do you like best about the product?
They were always there to help us out when we needed, and the team is super knowledgeable. The dashboard was very easy to use, and completing the tasks was a breeze. It also had all the features and integrations we needed.

Scrut is helping us obtain our SOC Type 1 certification.
Delightful UI experience for such heavy certification, prompt replies and guidance from Scrut.
What do you like best about the product?
Scrut takes you by the hand and helps you navigate the complexities and intricacies of SOC2 compliance and everything in between. Their support is there for you, sometimes even on weekends, and their platform is easy to use and seamlesly integrates with your existing 3rd-party vendors.

No downsides whatsoever, using Scrut SOC2 audit readiness took as just one month.

Quick, easy, helpful Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Our account manager was extremely timely and helpful. They would work around the clock to get back to you quickly and accurately. Lots of great guidance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a lot of forms and compliances that seemed overwhelming and not particularly helpful for our specific company. Some conversation revolving around certain AWS technology aspects seemed to not be understood holistically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 compliance. Allows us to show our customers we have done diligence on conforming to industry standards
Great partner at a great price
What do you like best about the product?
When we first explored our compliance solutions, we had a few initial problems. Our stack was not built on the standard Big Three cloud providers (we are primarily a Cloudflare shop). We are also a bootstrapped startup, so price and the payment plan were extra important to us. Scrut gave us a deal no other provider could beat that included SOC2, ISO27001, and penetration testing.
Dev was our representative assigned to us. He is courteous and helpful and was able to meet with us weekly to answer all of the most challenging questions about SOC2 compliance. He was highly responsive in the Slack channel, and his team was helpful to us. Maybe other platforms can automate everything, but we'll never know. I appreciated the customer support far above the application requirements.

What do you dislike about the product?
While we found the templates they provided helpful, we felt they could have been presented more cleanly. There were a few grammatical errors that we fixed ourselves, and I wish there was a form that we filled out prior with information that could have auto-filled many of the repetitive portions.
The application itself is still not entirely intuitive. Although it's comprehensive, we had a hard time understanding what sections were used for what. On top of the integrations, I am not fully confident how tightly coupled the integrations are. We connected, but we'll have to see how that plays out.
