Great LMS, always improving, and great support

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is highly customizable for the end-user, and it's pretty intuitive compared to other LMSs I have used. The back end is also quite straight-forward. Other LMSs I have used (looking at you, SumTotal) are a nightmare on the backend, with multiple nested menus, incomprehensibly named data fields, non-intuitive methods for building courses and curricula, etc. That isn't the case with Docebo. Docebo is clean, modern, and pretty fast. It doesn't require you to be an expert LMS administrator to make sense of it, and it doesn't feel like a bogged-down legacy product like most other LMSs on the market.

The localization tool is hugely powerful. The fact that the interface is available in so many languages "out of the box" is huge for our international user base. My colleagues in the Russia/CIS region were delighted to see Bosnian and Kazakh as options. The translations aren't always exactly what we want them to say, but it's very easy to make custom changes to the localizations.

It's not perfect, but Docebo is always making incremental improvements. Almost everything on my wish list has eventually been ticked off as they develop the product. The implementation of the central repository was the most important thing for me, as it made it much easier to update SCORM courses without having to ensure the manifest file was identical. I have found everyone on the Docebo team pleasant to work with. Support is responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with Webex has traditionally been a challenge (but that might be due to more to Webex than Docebo). I definitely have found Docebo superior for managing digital courses rather than live ones, but I also have not tried to use that functionality in a while. Managing power users can sometimes be a pain.

I wish that the extended enterprise feature had a few more styling/customization options that didn't require CSS. There also doesn't seem to be a way to limit the catalogs that appear in the extended enterprise public-facing catalog, which makes it useless for us. It would also be great to have a better notification builder that could help design attractive e-mails without knowledge of HTML. Occasionally I have run into "mystery" issues here and there (in one case I had to change a system-generated message from the localization tool, which was kind of bizarre, but I guess made sense in a way), but generally support has been able to help me solve them. There have been times when certain administrative tasks have been a bit laborious, but it always seems to be getting better.

One thing that I definitely think could use improvement is the ability to get an overall view of an individual's progress/status. Generally, Docebo could use some improvements to be used for internal onboarding and training. There is a way to track certifications in Docebo, but we had difficulty trying to get it to really do what we wanted it to do. Along with that, it's hard to track ad-hoc learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are providing end-user training courses to a diverse group of end users and covering a number of products with differing security needs. For the most part, we've been able to implement the LMS in various ways to address the varying needs across our large business and product portfolio. Using extended enterprise, we've been able to build several portals with different content, branding, and access as needed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Docebo is great in general, but would particularly serve an organization that is not experienced in implementing an LMS. It is pretty straight-forward and easy to use, and definitely not overly-technical. Plus, support is great.

The Newbie Review

  • October 19, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the best about Docebo - easy to use and easy to navigate. Very simple but unique platform - easy to customize.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Docebo would be reporting feature. Granted the 'New Reports' is much better; however the audit trail needs to be more in depth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being the 'newbie' with my company, we have consolidated the campus side of the learning system. We are able to separate the health side from the campus side and this has really helped in researching past courses taken and as mentioned before; easy to navigate around for the end user.

What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to use platform
- Customizable
- Security
What do you dislike about the product?
There are functions that are basic, but missing. Especially on the reports part.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- We are a company operating in six different countries, it was not wise to continue with the old set up, wherein we have to sent trainers abroad every time there is a new training.
- Right now everyone can take training modules at the comfort of their PC
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great value for money.

  • October 19, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user friendly interface, the various possibility that Docebo offers to all the trainer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way of matching test and user. If an user do a a test in a course, and this test was done in another course from the same user, the sistem can't recognise this difference, and It flags the test like already done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to do a lot of test and correct It in a small time and in a standard mode.

Docebo gets the job done.

What do you like best about the product?
Google integration! Making updates to training materials is a breeze because of the automatic updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pulling data is a nightmare. There aren't existing dashboards that we can use/customize to make into what we want. In order to view completion rates by 'group', I need to create a report, download the CSV, and upload into a separate google sheet where I have created the formulas needed to calculate what I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to keep our training team headcount to a minimum and ensure our teams are up to date with the information they need to do their job.

What do you like best about the product?
The software allows our users a great learning experience whilst still giving administrators the flexibility to cover all the requirements of a complex organisation
What do you dislike about the product?
No major dislikes, we managed to overcome any blockers by working together
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As part of our Improving Learning project, the Docebo platform has contributed to the success of the organisation and how it aligns to our organisational goals and much improved participation in learning across the organisations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A great learning management solution with enough flexibility to easily scale up whilst maintaining a great user experience

    Giacomo G.

it's a simple and complete platform.

What do you like best about the product?
the simplicity and speed of use. Intuitive and practical. I still use the program for a short time but I can already understand the high potential. Simple and clear to use, a team of people always available to help you at any time. An excellent business partner. Another very useful and appreciated thing is docebo university which helps the user with constantly updated information.
The training was also perfect. The guys of the docebo team are super prepared and available.
Finally, the updates. Always useful and perfectly explained.
In short, Intuitive and easy to use. Always up to date and with an excellent support team
What do you dislike about the product?
To date, the only thing I don't like is that it is sometimes a bit cumbersome.
Sometimes enrolling and unsubscribing from courses remains a bit complex. Reporting could be improved. Loading images into tests is not always quick and immediate.
Even the management of the various users is not always easy.
Perhaps also due to the lack of practice and the short time of use but sometimes it is not clear to me why power users should have not only courses but also hooked users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use the platform to train and test employees both in the classroom and remotely. At this particular moment, he turned out to be an excellent ally. The training of our colleagues and the tests carried out remotely have allowed the carrying out of all our activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
That depends on the usage but as a platform it is great.

Docebo helped us to move our eLearning experience to the next level

  • October 14, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We appreciate our close relationship with the Docebo team. They were very reactive when we needed to migrate content from our old LMS and we went live in less than 2 months. Additionally, anytime we had critical issue, the support team and our customer success representative were here to solve the situation. They have also provided great guidance when we needed to understand what was the best implementation choice

Docebo is a very innovative product, and very flexible, that easily allows you to go out of the original scope. It has endless capabilities, and we were able to perfectly adapt it to our use case. We highly appreciate the release of new features, attracting more and more people to our platform (gamification, notification, automatic AI, advanced custom branding...).

The Docebo API is very friendly and it allows us to make reporting or automate some business logic.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to measure the impact of our feedback inside the product roadmap. There is a feedback portal but it looks like there is no impact. Anytime I had to request a feature, it had to wait a very long time before being considered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Docebo really helped us to provide a eLearning platform which can satisfy internal needs (employee onboarding, on site training) and external needs (provide tracks for partners and prospects, with the ability to set up isolated organisational units with advanced reporting). We're mixing different kind of use cases, different kind of audience, and it always turned out to be simple.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I really encourage you to see the potential of Docebo by building a PoC

A complete journey in the LMS world

  • October 14, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Extreme versatility of the tool, the opportunity to tackle almost every need in terms of learning management
What do you dislike about the product?
So powerful but also quite complex. You need a deep knowledge to avoid simple mistakes. We started with external consulting support because docebo's support was too generic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are in touch with all our employes, via desktop but mostly via app. Sharing contents, materials, increase hard and soft skills. We will extend the use of the platform to track career progression.

Easy to use and many resources for customization

  • October 14, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Docebo platform is a very user friendly tool. The support Docebo provides is high professional, quick and effective.
The platform offers plenty of options to create a very personalized LMS that fits your needs and your desires.
If you don't have a clear idea of how your LMS could looks like you also have templates ready to be used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Docebo is constantly working on new features and improving their options in the platform. One thing that could be better nowadays is that courses need to be edit individually and there is no option to edit all at the same time (eg: visibility, catalogue assignment, etc.)
However, if you import content from them this work is already done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do have a personalized support on helping creating my own learning platform according my needs. I go there with ideas and my customer success manager provides all tips and tricks to make them a reality. You also can contact them outside this monthly meeting and always are happy to support.
