Abnormal AI quickly stopped a phishing attack, saving our team time and ensuring peace of mind.
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about Abnormal AI is its ability to proactively detect and block advanced email threats—like phishing, social engineering, and account takeovers—using behavioral analysis rather than relying solely on traditional rule-based methods. This makes it highly effective even against novel or zero-day attacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
One potential drawback of Abnormal AI is that its deep behavioral analysis can sometimes flag legitimate emails as suspicious, especially in highly dynamic or fast-paced environments. This may lead to occasional false positives, requiring manual review and tuning to align with specific organizational workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Abnormal AI solves the problem of detecting and preventing advanced email threats—like phishing, business email compromise (BEC), and account takeovers—by analyzing behavioral patterns rather than relying solely on static rules or signatures.
Set it and Forget it Protection
What do you like best about the product?
It works really well and requires very little upkeep. Setup is very quick and easy. The dashboard gives you quick insight into any blocked threats and anything that may require attention. Customer service is very helpful. Abnormal offers frequent Webinars to learn more about the product and new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could use more reporting. Specifically insights about attack patterns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Abnormal catches phishing campaigns that make it through the traditional email spam gateway - especially campaigns crafted using AI to avoid common patterns like spelling/grammar mistakes.
Email Security that actually works
What do you like best about the product?
With Abnormal AI, my team isn't spending their valuable time and skills responding to Spam/Phishing/Junk emails each day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its a great product, the only area I wish it was different was if the was able to take action on the emails before it gets delivered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us tackle the never ending Phishing problem that comes with having email, I've used a lot of email security products and they usually caused more problems than they solved. With Abnormal, I can trust that our users are being protected from Phishing emails and my SOC isn't wasting valuable responding to them everyday. What used to be a daily task, we now might have to address 1-2 emails a month, a huge time saving. Also, the Account Takeover alerting has been amazing, it provides high fidelity alerts with all the information we need to make quick decisions and stop attackers fast. This is the first AI based product that I have used that actually delivers on its promises.

Great augmentation to M365
What do you like best about the product?
Abnormal catches the things that Microsoft E5 doesn't. It detects anomalies with customer communications, changes in language and tone, and oftentimes will alert us to breaches of external parties before they even know. It's very easy to setup and integrates seamlessly without the need for any mail flow changes or introducing any points of failure. Support is spectacular and very responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't much to not like. If anything, because it is a post processing tool, it can result in emails appearing briefly in mailboxes prior to remediation, but typically this only noticeable for a couple seconds in the worst-case circumstances.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Abnormal keeps malicious and annoying marketing email out of view from our employees and increases our security and productivity.
Great, modern email security solution
What do you like best about the product?
I saved time manually reviewing emails and phishing attempts. We had a very manual process that took 1-3 hours of my team's time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has good onboarding documentation, but I had to complete a course before I could see that doc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had an existing secure email gateway, but my team and I spent hours a day working on manually reviewing emails, quarantine, manually updating policies and definitions, etc. Also, the older solution was a SEG product, not a product that sits to the side and leverages API to review emails.

Abnormal provides the visibility and detection capabilities that no other can.

- The remediation automation functionality reduces the time-to-contain
- The use of the Phish Report Alert button in Outlook is great, the AI automatically replies with a verdict in seconds
- The integrations are very straightforward, we had visibility into 365 in matters of minutes after the setup/
- The customer success management team provides great reports, including risk reduction in monetary terms.

The dashboards cannot be filtered per domain.

The alert fatigue of the SOC team was reduced immediately.

What do you like best about the product?
Abnormal Security has completely transformed our email security posture with remarkably easy installation and setup. The integration was a very easy click through which allows API access to our Exchange environment. Unlike other enterprise security tools, the deployment was intuitive and required minimal technical expertise to get running. The AI-powered threat detection has been exceptional, consistently catching sophisticated phishing campaigns, BEC attempts, vendor-compromised emails, and malicious attachments that our previous antiquated security gateway completely missed. Where our old system allowed countless threats to slip into user mailboxes, Abnormal's intelligent analysis blocks them before they reach end users.

What do you dislike about the product?
As with any tools false-positives do occur sometimes, but these have been minimal. The Detection 360 submission feature is great when submitting these false-positives to help train the tool for the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vendor Impersonation and BEC was a huge concern for us. The Vendor Fraud area has been great in detecting these impersonations and BEC's to reduce the risk of invoice fraud and phishing attempts sent to our users.
Valueable Tool for Email Security
What do you like best about the product?
The Abnormal interface is easy to navigate and use. The implementation was done in one-day (just a few hours) and we were able to access the results immediately. Customer support is responsive and knowledgeable. My customer success manager is fantastic. I'm in the platform at least once per day to check on critical components. There are a lot of features; a key area of focus is the threat log.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I have not found anything that I would consider a "dislike" and if I did, I'm sure that my concern would be addressed by the Abnormal team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had another email security product when I arrived at my present employer. I was not happy with the interface and functionality, so I looked at several vendors to replacement our current vendor. Abnormal was the best product for my organization.
Amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
We implemented Abnormal AI a few years ago. It took just a few minutes to setup. The best features: our complaints about Spam were cut down to almost nothing. The Graymail feature allows our staff to control whether newsletters are received to their main mailbox or to a promotions folder. The Support process is beyond stellar. If we've had issues they are very responsive and will either point us in the right direction or implement a solution on the backend. They continue to innovate the product. It is very close to a set it and forget it type solution that I usually only go into the management console when there is a new feature to implement. It has been an easy product purchase to justify to upper management.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works, and sometimes that's hard for our users to believe.

Malware/Spam/Phishing attacks.
