New to Notion, but loving it!

What do you like best about the product?
Notion definitely helps in keeping conversations organized and keeping track of projects. The dashboard is very easy to follow and shows you all of your overall projects in one trackable place.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we haven't run into much trouble
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have seen that it is very easy to use, that all teams pick it up quickly and it gives you a good quick overview of the progress of all projects. It also integrates with slack, so all updates can be included in a specific channel so teams know what is happening at all times.

One of my favorite apps

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is an incredibly user-centric app that is very intuitive to use. I love the toggle option and the tables especially, but it is generally just one of the best apps I have used for day-to-day work and organization. Also, the customer service is really excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly there is nothing that I particularly dislike about this app. Every time I think of a new feature that would be useful they come out with it a few months later. I am confident that the longer the app is around the better it will continue to become.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables me to keep track of everything I'm doing, and actually do the work all in one place. It's very easy to collaborate too, which is wonderful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Getting started with notion can have a slight learning curve, but once you learn the basics, getting the most out of Notion is quite intuitive. It will save you so much time and effort in the future!

Business Organization and Document Management

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how everything is in one place and can be linked to things within the app. it's great to not have to have a bunch of google docs open in lots of tabs slowing down my computer. now I can work on all of it in one place and switch fast and find referencing docs easy. also, it is nice that it is stored centrally so I can see everything and be reminded right in the app and on my phone. I can look things up if I'm on the go and can't remember something.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes it is not intuitive to format things exactly how you want them. I would likethe ability to minimize inline tables, and in general just more customization. sometimes it feels like a chore to make what I want happen. it could be more intuitive in that way, or just allow for creative people to create customizations rather than be restained by how they choose to do formatting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
organization mostly. I am working on things with a lot of documents and I need to reference information from one doc in another, Notion allows me to create a hierarchy of docs all in one place. it takes the stress off of my browser which I usually have a lot of tabs open in for research etc. now that runs faster and half the tabs I used to have in there of docs are in Notion. it will be very helpful for sharing team data and projects etc when my team expands and organization becomes even more critical.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is a great tool and helps me organize my projects and documents. you need to be careful as you add things to organize them in a standard way that you will be able to utilize and not forget, but most importantly communicate your processes with your expanding team.

Notion is amazing for internal wiki & notes

  • October 29, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that notion is so customizable & easy to use once you get the hang of it. It’s like my second brain and I store everything I can into it so that I don’t have to remember it in my head. Highly recommend you check it out!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more 3rd party integrations that I could connect & integrate with Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task management. Note taking. Internal wiki. SOP’s. The benefits are endless. Notion is my second brain and I store everything in there from business to personal items

Great for personal use, too expensive for teams

What do you like best about the product?
I love Notion and use it a lot for personal-related projects
What do you dislike about the product?
Team prices are too high. I can't switch my team of 10 users because it's too expensive for our small business
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management works great

Notion - Life Organized

  • October 28, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the pages and the integration of spreadsheets with the calendar view
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was further options for the size of text and boxes. I tend to like to see everything in one view without scrolling, and being able to shrink the text further would allow that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personal and work organization. I like being able to check the to-do lists off and then re-categorizing points as completed or whichever label I decide. This allows me to keep track of what I'm working on while keeping track of what I've already completed
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for software that integrates seamlessly through your desktop computer, Chrome browser, phone app, and more, this is the one to do it. You are able to upload existing spreadsheets and create pages using the data. Then you're able to extract and filter the data as you please and turn the form into a calendar or a to-do list.

Notion can be whatever you want it to be!

  • October 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is incredibly versatile. Which style of productivity app do you like best: kanban style, spreadsheet, old fashioned checklist? Notion can do them all--at the same time! The best thing about Notion is that you configure it yourself so you get exactly what you want. There are plenty of useful templates available so you don't have to start from nothing, unless you want to build it all yourself.

There's a bit of a learning curve. But there is plenty of help available. It can be suited to any industry. It's fairly simple to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ok, the tricky part is getting started. There are plenty of tutorials and videos to help you out. But, when you first log in to Notion, it's a clean slate. So there is some set up time involved. But I think it's worth it because you get exactly what you want. And you can always use one of the templates provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for everything. It's a task master with a big kanban style project manager dashboard. I wear a lot of hats and by using one master board with several other project focused boards I can keep track of what needs to be done. I also use it as a content calendar. I keep important documents embedded in it so I have easy access to them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stick with it. After the initial time investment, it's worth it. Use the templates provided. They cover most scenarios. You only have to put in your parameters and labels and you're good to go!

Takes some time to figure out initially but a great tool

  • October 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Sharing of files and documents with each other within the organization and collaborative editing
- Documents within documents
- Notifies you about edits through mail
- Minimum icons at the top, but all of them fed into keyboard. For example, you insert a table by first pressing '/' for commands, after which you select table
What do you dislike about the product?
- Took time to figure out initially
- Some functions that seem like should exist, do not. For example, while entering numbers in a table column, the column sum should be available
- Would like the reminder function to become better
- Integrations with commonly used softwares such as Slack, Asana, Zoom
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Collaborative sharing with the team
- Helps keep the important documents and files in one place for all to view
- Tracker maintenance
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While it is a good collaborative sharing and editing software, it would be worth to check out other softwares as well. Consider your objectives carefully before going for it. You may be looking for a to-do list and a task management system, but this does not exactly serve the full purpose as an Asana.

Project Management is easy because of Notion

  • October 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love all the tables and charts that I can make on Notion. It is easy as well as makes it better for me to manage my content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not so much of dislike but there are a lot of short cuts that are difficult to remember. More drop-down menu might help with that better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Management and content management. It helps me stay organized and stay up to date.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool for content management for an organization.
