What do you like best about the product?
While applications move rapidly to the cloud, the general trade-off is to reach productivity and availability cheaply. Cloudability helps quantify the enterprise spend on cloud and smoothes the communication of cloud financial management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool provides complicated recommendations that can confuse and derail new users from picking the right recommendation. Widgets are difficult to understand and can take a good chunk of time exploring.

Perfect for clarity and visibility into cloud costs
What do you like best about the product?
Best and overall, Apptio Cloudability provides us the cost visibility from across the multiple cloud providers and their various services. This is tremendous help with our budgeting and ROI calculations and such. The visibility and clarity leads to better cost optimization that the platform also provides recommendations for based on usage. We don't need to do manual calculations or individual calculations from each cloud providers. Platform integrates well with our tech stack. Very easy to use and onboard. Their customer service is very helpful throughout the implementation and any other day to day support. The reporting and analytics is perfect for our needs as well, throughout our frequent use.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is feature rich, the only negative I think is the complexity with navigation and setting/administration of it. The cost optimization that is recommended by platform is not easy to implement - though it's a great insight. But these are not the hurdle we can't overcome - compared to lot more benefits and the visibility in our cloud costs that it provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are loving the visibility that this platform provides with cloud cost management.It provides comprehensive view of all our multi cloud providers' costs and their services. Through the cloud management features/functionalities - we are able to scale/maintain the performance of the different cloud instances and use the in-built recommendation that the platform provides for cloud cost optimization (by providing rightsizing options, optimizing storage usage etc.). It saves costs , finds any inefficiencies and brings better visibility into a single pane of glass.

Has allowed extensive visbility on spending across the firm, enabling mass savings and cost cutting to take place

It took me a while to get used to the softwware
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving previously not having as much visibility on costs / spending. We now track this with great ease and have utilized internal resources to cut costs and save big
Apptio cloudability in my opinion
What do you like best about the product?
Apptio has easy and simple integration with AWS, NewRelic, K8s etc., it is very simle and easy to integrate and use the data. Also, the Business Mapping feature is very helpful since we have multipl cost tags, cost center tags and mapping this to a product/business is easy.

The cloudability UI could get better in my opinion.

it is helping allocate cost for cloub compustion for mulitaple business units
One stop shop for your cloud economist
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful for it being providing support for multi cloud environments, it shows way more details then the AWS recommendations,and has a very user friendly interface, integration with AWS and GCP environments is quite seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be amazing if it can integrate with the data center as well so that there is one stop shop for all costs vs looking at multiple interfaces. Would also like to see Apptio giving more and more customization capability to the end users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing the bottom line costs down with costs available on fingertips to the entire org.

Easy to create dashboards and support for new products
What do you dislike about the product?
API could use some work. Names of items are not the same in APIs. For instance, a business mapping in cloudability might be called a "Super cool item," but in the APIs, it might be called "map3". The unique ID makes sense in case the name is changed but it would be nice to have this ID seen on the business map to find it faster.
