A fundamental safety net with some benefits around the edge
What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love one of the features of Ownbackup - it's quick and easy to set up. It takes no time at all, and once it's up and running, it can perform its duties without any required interaction. This is fantastic because it means you can trust that it's always there, ready and waiting for when you need it. Whether it's for disaster recovery purposes or for GDPR compliance, you can rest easy knowing that you have a reliable backup solution in place.
Another thing I really appreciate about Ownbackup is the range of capabilities that come with it. For instance, Sandbox Seeding is one of the all-time greatest time-savers I have come across. If you've ever had to create dummy anonymous data in sandboxes, you know that it can be a tedious process. However, with Ownbackup, you can save a lot of time as it will create the data as if it were a true representation of your live organization. This is a great feature because it means that you can be confident that your sandbox environment is as close to the real thing as possible.
Overall, I would highly recommend Ownbackup to anyone looking for a reliable backup solution that is quick and easy to set up, with some great added features to boot.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is little to no room for disappointment with this tool. It's not something you'll use on a daily basis or interact with consistently, so its role is limited. 95% of the time, it has one job to do and it does it well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To put it simply, we implemented a disaster recovery solution. Previously, we had no safety net, but now we do. Although we haven't yet experienced a major disaster, it's important to have a DR tool in place. Additionally, we have found the Sandbox Seeding feature to be wonderful. Previously, we used the archiver tool to address storage issues in Salesforce. However, a recent license renewal gave us significant limit increases, so the archiver tool is now less pressing.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to go "back in time" at an enterprise or individual user level and capture our data during that period when an issue arises to maintain our data integrity has benefited our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to say about having a downside in how we utilize OwnBackup. It has handy when we need it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Serves as a cost-effective insurance policy for our CRM to go back in time at the user and enterprise level to reset data that may have been lost or entered in error.
Your data is safe with OwnBackup
What do you like best about the product?
I know my data is backed up going back days, months and years! OwnBackup has saved me so many times due to data loss or fixing incorrect data. My account manager checks in with me when I want and support is quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a tease on features you could have but don't have on Enterprise level. Enterprise and Unlimited should be combined to make a well rounded product for customers without the uplift to move to Unlimited. The knowledge base isnt as good as its used to be since they have expanding their offering. I wish the help button was tailored to articles relevant to the page I am on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data is safe and easily accessible. Keep track of major changes in data using the graphs. Restoring data is done easily by re-parenting all records and creating them if they are missing.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
It is extremely easy to set up. The team helped walk me through the entire process. It is also easy to continue using and set up new accounts as needed. When we did need the backup, it was easy to access and understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
When your password changes for Salesforce you have to remember to change the password in OwnbackUp which is slightly annoying. Otherwise there is nothing I dislike about the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Each week we used to download the backup from Salesforce. We started having so many files it would take me a couple of hours to download all of them. After getting OwnbackUp it is a "set it and forget it" option which is amazing. I get an email each week letting me know it is still working so I have peace of mind.
The process is easy and saves us a ton of time vs trying to manually load data.
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of navigation between the different menus and the ease of maintaining templates for seeding. It allows us to experiment with our model and maintain separate instances.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if we could "bucket" our orgs together. Having to look through twice as main backup records since there's one for metadata and one for data. If we could view "Org1" with both nested under, it would make navigation a bit easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several production and sandbox orgs. This product lets us maintain our backups in one easy-to-find place. Plus, it gives us access to archived backups in the event we need to extract old data.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use platform for both administrators or developers and is ultra fast to bring to our customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scaling can be prohibitive for some busines units that are not as mature in their DevOps practices. Value is not realized with low maturity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ownbackup is providing full and partial backups on all Salesforce environments. It also provides archiving capabilities to optimize storage space. We are saving $ and also meeting engineering compliance.
Peace of mind when you need it most
What do you like best about the product?
The documentation that they provide in the knowledge center is very detailed and contains all the information that is needed to work with their products.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some issues with some very large objects that we were trying to backup during our onboarding. Support helped us through the process and resolved the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to back up all of our data within the org, in our production and sandbox environments. We are now implementing archiving to help lower core storage utilization.
Perfect tool for the job. Creates huge piece of mind
What do you like best about the product?
Using OwnBack up is such an easy process. I use the backup function for Salesforce data and Sandbox seeding.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything I do not like about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed me to easily create backups of our Salesforce data, whereas before, it was a manual process. The sandbox seeding function also means we have the correct data when testing and using sandboxes. Sandbox seeding creates peace of mind that the data we are using isn't actual customer data.

What do you like best about the product?
We reviewed multiple different Salesforce backup solutions, but OwnBackup was the clear winner. Not only do they have a robust backup and archival platform, their service and support is among the best out there among SaaS companies! They will help you every step of the way to ensure you're set up properly and will guide you through any processes if you ever get stuck for any reason. With training, the tool is simple and intuitive to use and there are no storage limits!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about OwnBackup. They are the complete package!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OwnBackup ensures that all of our data is safely backed up in the event of data corruption, changes, or failure of any kind. We use the archival component to save on Salesforce storage space. We can see the archived data directly within Salesforce and so you can't even tell it's being stored on OwnBackup's servers. We're saving money on Salesforce by not having to pay so much for storage space and we have peace of mind, knowing that we can recover data at any point and store information as long as we want.
