Owned Backup is great

Data seeding across orgs. Visibility into success and failures. Sandbox templates.

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface and experience is one of the biggest highlights of OwnBackup. Each step along the way, the interface presents the good and the "issues" that you might be facing. You can identify problems - whether related to login or permissions - quickly and address most with relative ease. The dashboard, the updates, the reports are all top notch!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not experienced much that I dislike about OwnBackup. Tracing issues with permissions take time, as can making bulk updates to the related profile for the automated user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to OwnBackup, our backup/recovery/restoration process involved the standard Salesforce Data Extracts on a weekly basis. This is incredibly inefficient, as I am sure folks know! Our first order of business with OwnBackup was to establish the regular backup cadence to address that need. We have been able to expand our use of sandboxes by using sandbox seeding, to ensure our 3rd party vendor has applicable information without compromising our customer information!
We are also looking into the OwnBackup Secure product to further improve our current security setup.

Ownbackup is just what we needed
What do you like best about the product?
We have several Salesforce orgs and sandboxes. I can get a visual report of the exact status of all data and metadata backups at any point in time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The add-ons we would like to purchase (Archive, Secure) tend to be very expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

When All Else Fails, OwnBackup to the Rescue
What do you like best about the product?
OwnBackup's thorough backup and restoration and archival capabilities, including but not limited to the incredible support they offer, were essentially life-changing to our org. The reliability, automation, security, and compliance standards met are above and beyond any competitors in the field. The user-friendly interface is the icing on the cake making it straightforward for any level of user to learn and operate. I genuinely believe OwnBackup is an essential tool for any organization seeking reliable data protection and management solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
To this date, I have not had any issues with OwnBackup. The ability to unarchive all instances of a single policy run over time would be amazing but it is not a hindrance to the effectiveness of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OwnBackup allowed us to take our org from 89% storage to 35% storage by offloading historical data no longer required for day to day reporting but still desired for access for the reps. This saved us thousands of dollars not having to purchase more storage from SalesForce. In addition user error is one of the most common issues with data lose, which we experienced many times prior to being an OB customer. With OB we no longer had to worry about data loss as it is backed up based on your time interval preference and available to you in the click of a button.

What do you like best about the product?
Its user-friendly UI and with lots of features. It provides a variety of data protection needs, from daily automated backups to fast and efficient data recovery. The tool's real-time backup capabilities provide peace of mind, ensuring that no critical data is left unprotected. The ability to schedule backups at convenient times minimizes disruptions, and the option to customize backup frequency and retention policies caters to diverse business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't come across anything as such. May be an ability to keep the Audit fields while restoring will help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It takes backup of our Salesforce Application data and metadata, which gives us peace of mind incase something goes wrong with Salesforce.
Simple and Reliable
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very simple but effective tool. Once you have the setup completed the maintenance is minimal.

I did not dislike anything with OwnBackup.

It give our company the security of data restoration without a large downtime.
Great peace of mind knowing your data is backed up securely & would be able to restore effortlessly

Automeous way of backing up data from salesforce org. Data is encrypted at rest and during transit too.

Little more training on database restore and ability to dry run this on playground enviroment to do fire drill would be nice to have

What do you like best about the product?
The responsiveness of thier support staff when a case is created for issues. They are very helpful in explaining what is being investigated to help resolve your issue and step you through how they determined a fix.
What do you dislike about the product?
The vague errors, missing detail to help resolve problems, requiring you to contact support.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using OwnBackup for backup and archiving functionality. We have yet to have a scenario that has required us to utilize the restore power of OB for our data but love the capability to do so. Love the visibility to the data that is/isn't being backed up with pretty clear explaination in most scenarios as to why.
Archiving has been a huge help and savings, helping to reduce the amount of storage many high volume low impact items where consuming significantly reducing our storage percentage and freeing us from having to purchase more storage.
