OwnBackup & OB Archiver are a great duo!!!
What do you like best about the product?
With a global SalesForce User base we finding Data Space use growing rapidly. When I was at DreamForce I attended an OwnBackup session and was very impressed. My favorite part of the demo was the Sandbox seeding feature, but I knew backup and archive is how we could sell this to the decision makers.
What do you dislike about the product?
We struggled a bit getting OB Archiver setup and it took their tech support almost a week to get OB Archiver working correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We dropped our Data Space utilization from 97% to 78% and we are looking for more. We were at a decision point where we have to purchase addition storage or implement and archiving solution, archiving was the best solution for us.

Solid backup and sandbox seeding service
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to get going. NOT a managed package - easy user management. Good UI to create and manage backups. Excellent comparison and restore tools. Sandbox seeding is well thought out and works well overall. Very flexible in terms of storage allotments (number and size).
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional bugs, primarily with the seeding process. Support is prompt but not always helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it most often for sandbox seeding, but of course also for production backup and (when needed) restore.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd recommend it, especially if you are looking to standardize a sandbox seeding process in Salesforce without using code.
OwnBackup saves grey hairs...
What do you like best about the product?
I know that OwnBackup is there in the background running all the time, and I don't need to worry should we have a failure or if we need it. It requires very little effort and really is like set it and forget it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are just a few things that I didn't like. It's not as easy to restore a single record. You have to jump through several hoops to find it, export it and then reimport it to restore one item.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most definitely peace of mind! I have no worries knowing that anything that I do or change, especially in bulk, can be reversed with a few steps. There is nothing more terrifying than taking a leap when you have no netting and OwnBackup provides that safety net. Being able to restore anything quickly and efficiently is a key in the fast paced sales and support environment and knowing that it's there in the event you need it, makes it worth the cost.
Great tool for backing up SFDC Data
What do you like best about the product?
Software is easy to setup, very customization, and the average user could manage it.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints so far. Compared to their competitors, the tool is a great solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We currently use Ownbackup for backing up our SFDC Production and Sandbox Data and metadata. The software is super easy to setup and start using. I really like their customer portal. It gives me easy access to our backup history and allows me to completely customize when those backup run and setup alerts for those backups. If needed, I could easily restore a backup which could come in handy if something ever happened to the data in our Salesforce Org.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
OwnBackup is a great tool for businesses looking for a solution to backup SFDC Data.
Best Backup Solution for Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to Use. Just login to the org and tell it what kind of backup to perform.
The Comparison tool is very nice because it will show you what is new, deleted or changed in the org

What do you dislike about the product?
The UI for the Sandbox Seeding could be better. it would be nice to see dependencies with seeding and setting how many records for the parent object and it will complete the child objects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Org Backup and Seeding of data to dev environments.
The major problem we had was that the salesforce weekly backup stopped working because of the amount of data and also files in the system and we needed to move data and files from our UAT environment to go into production.

Seamless and Worry-Free
What do you like best about the product?
Scheduled back-ups with email notifications of successes and failures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Harder to find exact root of error without deeper investigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assure that Salesforce data is backed up in case of changes or catastrophic data loss.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try to see if it meets your needs. I like that it compartmentalized the Data from the Metadata for ease of restoring should that be necessary. Also, when there was an issue with backup, I received notifications that the issue was being looked at, and an email when the issue was resolved. It was very helpful.
Peace of Mind is worth the price
What do you like best about the product?
I can sleep at night knowing our data and metadata are secure. The ease of use is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have No dislikes after almost a year of use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data loss happens from time to time and large system changes are another reason for data loss. We lost most of our signed contracts during the conversion to lightning as a result of the Salesforce Magic Mover not working properly. Luckily for us, we got everything back with OwnBackup! It truly lightens the weight on an administrator's back.

Practice data retrieval before you find yourself in a position of needing to restore
Ownbackup delivered immediate results
What do you like best about the product?
We had been using a different backup solution prior to Ownbackup and noticed a big difference right away. We had not been able to successfully restore any metadata previously which was a need we often had. With Ownbackup, not only did restoring data work wonderfully, but it was incredibly simple to do. We've been able to track down differences in environments to solve user issues, and we now have the peace of mind that a backup solution SHOULD give. Their support in particular has been incredible, even giving me a call back after hours to help figure out why something wasn't working when we were new customers. Spoiler: It was user error.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far we haven't run into anything we haven't been able to accomplish, or anything that didn't work exactly as advertised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensure that we don't lose work between environments, and that our codebase's integrity is maintained. Rolling back changes that caused unforeseen problems in production. Keeping a backup of work done by third party developers.
Used OwnBackup for over a year
What do you like best about the product?
The best part is that the backups can be restored from any point in history. The backups are all stored on the cloud and number of backups is not limited.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only caveat is that there is only one backup per a 24 hour window.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business continuity plans and basically to get customized alerts when there are drastic changes in volumes of records altered.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it gives clear analytics of what's been deleted by data
What do you dislike about the product?
None at this time. If anything may be compatibility with SSO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance issues. Making sure users are not misusing admin privileges.

Have a training with Onbackup team first before implementing it yourself.
