Very Happy with Backup Decision
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to backup multiple orgs easily with inital setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
There hasn't been anything that we've seen that we do not like. We are a new customer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to backup several orgs, including sandboxes. While we haven't needed it yet, it looks fairly simple to restore pieces or the entire org, as needed.

OwnBackup is a solid Disaster Recovery Solution for Salesforce Data
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of OwnBackup's setup. Working with their team was easy, quick, and resulted in peace of mind for myself and my stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much to contribute on this front. OwnBackup is a great tool and I don't have much negative to say about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to OwnBackup, we didn't have a disaster recovery solution ready. We were using our full copy Salesforce sandbox, but that has a limit on the refresh cadence. It's a huge relief to be able to access nightly backups of our data and metadata.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to seed sandboxes and to revert to a previous instance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike - it would be helpful to have version control for moving changesets from test to prod environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No problems - The benefits include assisting our org with refreshing sandboxes and to correct the salesforce user permission outage and issues that occurred about a year ago.
OwnBackup is our primary tool for backing up our Salesforce data.
What do you like best about the product?
Daily and Weekly backups, Incremental changes backup. Alerts on data loss.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to see more criteria on writing the rules to send alerts on the changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up our SFDC data. Solving disaster recovery problem. Productivity gains as backups are no more manual process.
A useful product which doesn't require much of my time
What do you like best about the product?
OwnBackup requires next to nothing of my time and runs in the background to ensure that we're safe

No problems so far, but we have it in case of a larger problem down the road which results in the loss of data
If you want to Backup your Salesforce Date - Own Backup is the way to go about
What do you like best about the product?
Ownbackup not only backs up your data at record level, it backups meta data settings which is something different from other backup providers. You can restore not just your data but the settings that go with the data which saves the admins/dev a load of time. The other features such a replicate and restore have tons of options with in which can help in selective restoration, testing and data verifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The error message sometimes might seem little too technical to a business user, simplifying the language would help in identifying the cause without a delay.
The support/reach out from Ownbackup is minimal, I kind of like it that way but not everybody would prefer it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Salesforce doesn't have native backup - if for some reason the server you are on crashes or has issues you are pretty much on your own till Salesforce fixes the issue. But with Ownbackup you can quickly recover from such a setback by using the data copy

Set up is very easy. With just a few clicks, OwnBackup starts backing up our Salesforce data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Almost nothing to dislike. Just one thing we found out when we received a backup warning. We could see which object was causing the issue, but we couldn't tell the exact record was the culprit.

Excellent Seamless Data Backup Tool
What do you like best about the product?
OwnBackup seamlessly integrates with my Salesforce Org and backs up my data with little thought and effort on the part of myself or my team. We rely on our data for day-to-day operations. The data backup operates in the background and provides a sense of security for our company in the event of a malicious attack or any accidental deletion of some kind. If there is an interruption of connection of any kind, OwnBackup sends an alert to notify me that the backup or connection has been disrupted and allows me the opportunity to make sure we maintain constant connection to have up to date data at all times.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the additional integrations are quite pricey for a small business, but I have no dislikes of the product itself. All of the integrations my company have used have been easy to use and with have nothing but positive things to say about the product. More tiered pricing plans would be helpful for my growing company. It is difficult to pull the trigger on less vital features like developer org seeding at the current price-point given the number of users we have. Our company has a large number of employees, but our development team is only six users including myself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OwnBackup integrates easily with our production and sandbox orgs and provides clear peace of mind that our data is protected under a number of circumstances that could otherwise leave our company dead in the water. We have had incidents in the past where data has been accidentally deleted from our org and had to be manually added back in. With OwnBackup, we can easily restore data with a few clicks in the application.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The base level of OwnBackup is very worth the cost. If you can swing the additional expenses, the extra features are very worth the additional cost involved considering the time saved.

What do you like best about the product?
You never want to lose anything that you put your blood sweat and tears into. Now more than ever with Coronavirus and other influences causing people to work from home you need protection for your Salesforce data and metadata! OwnBackup provides a complete backup solution that is easy to use and has won multiple awards. It is so easy to create the backups and see immediate results!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had much contact with the OwnBackup team unless I reach out to them. I'd like to be a bit more in touch with my account representative. I am also frustrated that I continue to receive warning emails on a daily basis that I'm backing up specific kinds of metadata. I've been told by OwnBackup that I can just deselect backing up that specific metadata and I'll stop getting the warnings, but I'm not yet convinced that this information will not be needed or helpful in performing a complete restore in the event of a disaster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Salesforce has limited backup ability. It also requires A LOT of work to restore any Salesforce implementation with more than a couple of objects. Besides that, Salesforce has now discontinued providing the option of restoring your data and metadata for you (for a fee). Because we have OwnBackup, we will be able to restore data or metadata with minimal loss and downtime and the price was very fair.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do your research and perform a trial/evaluation before you buy it. Also, make sure you look at the ROI of not having a solution or your current solution vs OwnBackup as a solution. Consider getting sandbox seeding - it is another big win if you don't currently have a solution.
