Best Decision from Dreamforce
What do you like best about the product?
The visibility into our org and sandboxes

It's a little clunky to get started with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OwnBackup has provided us with a sorely needed backup & restore function to supplement our organizational growth.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Gets the job done. I have proven its ability with numerous restores and I therefore trust it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Accommodating Salesforce Sandbox refreshes is quite a manual and tedious process, but this is no fault of Ownbackup from what I understand. There is probably a way I could script it if I put some additional focus into it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Salesforce back-up services and Salesforce data analysis comparison.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get a demo and check it out for yourself. You should be pleased.

You can set up your backup rules and are sent notifications of any issues if/when they arrise.

UI is a bit clunky at times. But you only need to use it when configuring the backup/accessing the data.

not much to dislike, tool get the job done. Do not like the Find feature limit.

Easy to install and configure. Easy to use.
Per record data recovery.Sandboxes are backed up for free.
Cost efficient. There is no minimum in terms of required number of users and other requirements.
Other solutions we looked into didn't work for small organizations because small organization didn't meet min price/# of users requirements.

It took several days to backup image files, but it's my understanding it's related to SF.com limitations rather than OwnBackup limitations.

We use OwnBackup as the main SF.com backup solution for our Production and all the Sandbox orgs.
It's very easy to configure, customer service is great.
Initial set up took maybe 30 min max. It run automatically, data is backed up on a cloud, we don't have to worry about providing server space.

Mainly around data recovery, the less we have to use it the better.

Ownbackup provides a clean, easy to pick up interface with which to interact.
Setting up backups is easy, and requires very little maintenance. We have not used OwnBackup for a disaster recovery situation yet, but during our evaluation phase the process of restoring data or metadata was not complicated.

There isn't much to dislike.
Ownbackup's price points can be high, but the amount of competitors in the field for backing up Salesforce environments is low, so options are limited.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The largest benefits we have seen are having our data insured, easily seeding data into sandboxes, and statistics of data/backups that provide us insight into our use of Salesforce.

As always, evaluate this software on a case-by-case basis for your own situation.
Great Backup Solution
What do you like best about the product?
OwnBackup makes keeping a copy of production and sandbox data and metadata easy. It is nice to know we can restore data, find data, and access things that inadvertently get overwritten or deleted.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes navigation can be a bit clunky and cumbersome. Finding records and determining what OwnBackup features to use in various use cases is not always clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to find data within date ranges, restore overwritten data that automation accidentally misassigned, and more. It is great peace of mind knowing we have a way to pull old data and metadata at any time.

Easy to use, user friendly interface, multiple data points comparison, easy export of backed up instances

so far we have not experienced any negative aspects

Production and sandbox backup, data recovery tool-when Salesforce had performance issues and data was locked,we were able to restore profiles and recover what we needed, recover deleted data,etc

What do you like best about the product?
OwnBackup has a very easy to use interface that allowed us to set up a backup in no time.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far we have not found anything to dislike about Ownbackup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While Salesforce is cloud-based we wanted to have a backup option in case of a large scale SF problem but also in case we needed a more limited backup of certain data.
