Great automated backup, has saved us a few times already.
What do you like best about the product?
The capability to not only backup data, but meta data as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having an api to be able to attach to the backups systematically in order to retrieve the data from an analytical standpoint. Each backup is like a point in time, and we've resorted to several backups on a monthly basis to create point in time reports for our opportunities. Had to pull each month's back up manually though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up metadata before it is overwritten by new code is awesome. We've reverted many promotions back to original state using the meta data backup.

What do you like best about the product?
Own backup provides peace of mind. Native Salesforce weekly export is not automated or nearly as robust.
What do you dislike about the product?
Searching the backups can be time-consuming. I wish the advanced search features were easier to use or better documented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've restored data that was accidentally deleted or altered. We've used Own to research the history of records.
Extremely efficient and easy!

The fact that I do not have to download individual files in Salesforce for backup

I have not come across anything I do not like yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All of your orgs including our sandboxes are being backed up without our intervention which saves us so much time!

Overall great experience
What do you like best about the product?
I really liked the support that we received when we first signed with OwnBackup. The engineer walked us through setting up our first SalesForce backup as well as giving us a very in depth tutorial on the system. Any questions that we had after the initial training we answered quickly. They even scheduled a follow up call after the initial setup to go over how things have been working.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am yet to find anything that I dislike about this product. We are currently looking to see if we can leverage it for any of our other backup needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a solution that provided more flexibility over the standard SalesForce backup. OwnBackup has met our needs without any issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Only advice would be take advantage of the support provided. I found it very helpful in the setup process.
Every Org needs OwnBackup!
What do you like best about the product?
This is an essential tool for every company, something hopefully that will not need to be used in a worst case scenario, but something that is indispensable if data corruption were to happen.
The security of knowing your Salesforce orgs are backed up, and in the event of an emergency can be redeployed quickly to get your company back up and running in hours instead of weeks or months is by far the most critically important function of OwnBackup.
The sandbox functionality is also great, with the ability to compare changes, restore if needed, seed anonymous data for testing, and check for differences between orgs. Overall this is a great tool!

No downsides! Even if OwnBackup only provided the backup part it would be worth the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the very difficult "what if" scenario where data corruption takes down our org and we have to bring it all back online as soon as possible. We are also exploring the use cases for seeding sandboxes!

It's absolutely worth the cost! With Salesforce official stance on data backup and integrity, OwnBackup is a must for every company. There is no question, if something happens and your data is corrupted, you will want OwnBackup to help you get up and running. The fact that they make it easy...that's just amazing. You can get back up and running in hours or days vs weeks or months.

Easy to import data, seeing my data changes visually. It is easy to find specific records when needed.

I think Import data is a little bit slow. There should be a way to improve it.

Exporting and importing data through my Sandboxes and other Salesforce stages that my team used.

It is easy to use the tool. You can easily adapt to this tool. Easy to import data, seeing my data changes visually. It is easy to find specific records when needed.
OwnBackup a tool that really helps
What do you like best about the product?
I like this tool because it really helps you to recover from anything that maybe was deleted accidentally or even recover data that you may need
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at all, I would say it is only a little bit tricky having to add each sandbox in your org.
Sometimes in the jobs area is not that easy to find what you are looking for but it just a matter of some clicks and you can always find what you are really willing to do.
I would say I don't dislike this tool as lot of the work you can do within it it is just really amazing, don't need to worry about your data at all.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems when someone having sysadmin in prod box that may be deleting some records in an a very big amount. And also any accidentally deletion for records, and helps you also keep history.
I am also resolving when in our organization are requesting new sandboxes but with some certain criteria for data, I always download from our Backups the objects and just put the data into a brand new sandbox and that way we are not using partial data sandboxes or at least is not that required as it was before having this amazing tool.

Replacement for another backup product
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Most everything that is needed is obvious and right on the main dashboard. It is also a cost saver, the fact we have the ability to anonymize are data alone pays for the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seeding data still has some quirks that need to be worked through. It would be nice if you didn't have to recreate a seeding template every time you want to make a change but had the ability to update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Three main benefits. 1) It backs up both our data and meta data. 2) It handles or GDPR issues (it will forget contacts) and 3) It has the ability to anonymize whatever object/field you choose.

Ease of use and set-up is what sets OwnBackup apart. I love that i can recover any data loss, down to a single record with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can see why that is hard but it would be pretty cool for a persistent backup of a Sandbox rather than have a new backup item when I refresh a Sandbox

We needed an always on solution to backup Salesforce regularly to ensure no loss of data in the event of accidental deletions or catastrophic data loss.
