A powerful backup tool!
What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to make backups of the environments in production and sandbox, in addition to choosing the objects that are required.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's perfect, I still can't find something that disgusts me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data loss due to user errors, I could recover with Ownbackup

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity of the product, and very robust for non-technical users to administer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can only do a backup one time a day or you have to pay more if you want to do it more often as every few hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gives us a secure backup of our salesforce production and sandbox data. Saves space on our local servers by saving to OwnBackup Cloud.

What do you like best about the product?
Fast and easy setup and continues running without any issues. One last headache when it comes to managing a Salesforce Org.
What do you dislike about the product?
For search results, it would be useful to have an option to view the record in a way similar to a Salesforce Page layout instead of just the csv file. Sometimes it is easier to find the information you are looking for on the Salesforce page rather than the raw data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease in restoring records from Ownbackup is wonderful. It manages related child records for you so you don't have to worry about importing joined tables as well.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI has to be the most valuable piece of the system. It is easy to understand and very intuitive. I also like the feature that allows data from one sandbox backup to be pushed to a separate backup. This lets us customize our testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a little bit of confusion on my part as to how to restore a backup, so I would suggest mentioning that once you identify a need to restore, you should do a backup immediately that will be used to compare to the previous backup. That is not clear. Also, I would make the data and meta data backups more aligned so they aren't totally separate backups. It should be one backup in the dashboard but with the ability to choose one or the other for restore or replicate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With OwnBackup I am able to create customized partial sandboxes without incurring additional fees from Salesforce. I have also been able to restore a full list of accounts that were corrupted due to a faulty script during data migration. This saved tons of work trying to back out the changes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a backup solution for Salesforce, don't look any further. They only backup Salesforce but that's why you should choose them. They do one thing and they do it well.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
OwnBackup takes the pain out of backing up our data. The interface is user friendly and regular reports help you stay up to date
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to find any issues that impact my day to day usage. It does what it says on the tin, your data is backed up and is easy to access in the event of a crisis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have new options when it comes to long term storage of certain data that we don't need to query except in rare cases. All without taking up space constantly in our Org.

Nothing so far! The system is reliable and robust.

Lack of back up data and metadata. Avoidance of manual intervention when actioning backups. Our data is securely stored and GDPR compliant.

Simple and Works
What do you like best about the product?
Just enough features and pretty simple to use. There's not much else to say since we haven't had to do a restore yet. It's more comprehensive than the built in backup and has been prettier and easier than other solutions I've seen. I can set up jobs to backup production and all my sandboxes as well. The tool also tells me exactly what permissions are missing on the account being used so I don't have to guess. Also grabs the metadata which I haven't seen available in too many services like this. If you aren't familiar, metadata is very important to your salesforce org and you want to make sure you're capturing that information in case of failure. Salesforce is very stable but your contents and users might not be as reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to not have to archive jobs when credentials change. For some reason you can't just change a password or username on a salesforce backup. I would like to delete those old jobs also. I wish the price was better also.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better to be looking at it than looking for it. Luckily we haven't had to restore anything yet. But salesforce doesn't have any backup built in of any worth so you need to get something. It's one of those things that you don't think about much and don't really like spending money on because when it works, you don't notice it's there but it's a necessary addition to any salesforce org.

Ownbackup for peace of mind!
What do you like best about the product?
A great user interface, able to back up multiple instances as well as metadata.
Very simple to use and great confidence to backup our instance; provides us the peace of mind if something did happen we would be able to simply restore.
Also has great functionality to manage user access/deletion requests where you can edit/delete records from your backups simply.
You can compare backups and understand data changes etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's quite expensive but given it is core functionality when you are building an enterprise database the value is great.
Ideally I'd like to delete/modify multiple records at once.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This provides us safety and security so if we do have a data loss/breach our process and protocol for restoring is quick, simple and relatively pain free Hence we can limit impact on our end users!
