Easy to get started, easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the support we received at the very beginning - a representative was setting it all with us, taking us step by step through the process. We then received additional training that was also super helpful. The customer experience was seamless from the very beginning. It has lots of great features that we haven't fully used yet but it gives me a sense of security that I know they are out there. One of the examples that I like for the testing and training purposes - data replication from production to sandbox. This has been a big issue for us so far and it's great it can be resolved with this solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had only one problem so far - with data replication from production to developer sandbox. However, OwnBackup has reached out to us when they noticed the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We monthly releases in our production environment. Until we had OwnBackup, if anything turned to work differently on prod than it did in Sandbox, it was a problem to return to original set up. Right now it's really easy and quick so we can respond to our user's feedback much faster than in the past.
The training and tests are now also easier to conduct in sandbox with data replication function - it provides us more meaningful results.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talk with the representatives. They are really great - of course they want to sell the product but they also show you the demo and tell what is possible and what's not. We have 2 orgs and go live with them (+2 full sandboxes) took us about half an hour, being guided by the support during the live call. It was a very easy and pleasant experience.
Great product for Salesforce backups
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it was to set up. We were up and running in under 1 hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes permissions can mess up with the data backup settings, but as annoying as that is, it is an easy fix.

We like the product as it is easy to use and it meets our criteria.

The ease of use - takes 1 minute to set up a backup.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes doesn't refresh effectively - so hard to target a specific backup and time combo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No longer require to do onsite backups. Automated and quick.
Ownbackup helped us avoid a data breach
What do you like best about the product?
The smart alerting functionality is amazing. It allows us to monitor when abnormal behaviour occurs on any salesforce object and immediately take action

There’s not a lot to dislike with ownbackup, even the interface is intuitive and easy to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a disaster recovery solution. Relying on salesforce’s inbuilt solution would’ve meant it would take up to 2 weeks to recover from a malicious or disasterous situation. Thankfully with ownbackup we can recover within hours.

The field-level compare could be improved upon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a reliable disaster recovery solution and allows us to see if any of our lower regions are not in sync with Production by comparing metadata.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool if you have cycles which load data to Salesforce. OwnBackup is a convenient way to monitor changes to the data.
Amazing Experience
What do you like best about the product?
There have been many instances when records were deleted in error and we needed to revert them, and also when we needed to mass export our data. OwnBackup has allowed us to seamlessly do both - we don't ever have to be afraid of data loss.

Ability to search for records could improve!

The customer service is stellar. OwnBackup reps have been amazing to work with through the integration and even answering questions.

I can't think of anything that I do not like.

We were backing up our data in salesforce and this was the perfect solution. We did have a problem and had to use OwnBackup to restore our data. Thank goodness we had the backup. We successfully restored our salesforce data.

Try them. The price is right and the integration team and support team are amazing.
Ownbackup is a great solution
What do you like best about the product?
OwnBackup is a great solution for data recovery. It has a very admin-friendly UI, but is also feature-rich. I'm on my second company that uses it, and having the backups in place has saved me quite a few times. An underrated part of having these backups running daily is that it gives us freedom to more aggressively archive and keep our production org clean, knowing if we were wrong we can go back and pull it out of OwnBackup.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of anything I dislike. Any time I've needed help with something I've gotten it from them in a reasonable amount of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pulling deleted data, viewing changes made on specific dates, searching for data and metadata from sandboxes from before they were refreshed, quick exports of records as they were on a certain date, sandbox seeding
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When comparing it to other solutions consider the skillset for your in-house team. Although Ownbackup has tools for Admins and Developers, some tools might be more comfortable for developer-heavy organizations.
