Great User Friendly Product!

What do you like best about the product?
User interface is really easy to understand. Easy to work on and very helpful tool. Customer service is the best I've experienced! They were the first program that fully integrated on their own with our Salesforce org, not much was need on our side.
What do you dislike about the product?
They were quite pushy in finishing the deal and having us sign up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup of the entire Saleforce org, data as well as metadata, and seeding of any sandboxes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jump right in! This is the tool for you!

Good tool for backup

What do you like best about the product?
Day to day backup and do the SQL queries to fetch the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use it for Salesforce, we were unable to use the Sandbox copy feature, it doesn't maintain the complex relationships.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All queries to fetch the backed up data instead of download and search.

What do you like best about the product?
Getting started with Owncloud was not too difficult and staff were quick to help with my support questions. Good support is really important as we would probably only contact our backup provider for support if there was an emergency, so it is reassuring to see how responsive the support has been. My favourite feature is to be able to import backups to mysql and there is even an API to automate it. But overall I like the extensive featureset, clean simple interface, and clear documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think I dislike anything about it. It is more expensive than some competitors, but this is worthwhile for a solid dependable product that meets all our needs, and when it comes to backup management of our entire salesforce org, this is really important.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to get some sleep at night knowing our data is properly backed up, and a couple of times this has turned out to be a life saver as previously we would have to wade through reams of data to fix mistakes or issues with data, and now we can do it in a couple of clicks. The hidden benefit has been the ability to do data comparisons and data migrations between sandboxes.

What do you like best about the product?
Very much ease to use.
Trustworthy on the backup.
Sends continuous reminders alerts on the backups and if there is an issue they send alerts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike as of now with ownbackup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We backup all our Salesforce application objects data and metadata without any intervention. Restoring is also very easy.

The most comprehensive Salesforce backup tool on the market

What do you like best about the product?
The myriad of features provided by OwnBackup allow us to quickly and easily restore data which would have otherwise been lost to us. The sandbox seeding feature specifically is incredibly helpful as it allows us to utilise our existing Backup provider as the tool for creating obfuscated data in each of our sandboxes whenever required. It has a very intuitive UI, we've never needed to provide explicit training for any administrators of OwnBackup as its simple and elegant UI ensures that a new user can pick up the tool with ease. The success managers are also incredibly helpful, often reaching out to us for catch ups if we've been quiet for an extended period. Being able to backup multipe Salesforce orgs into a single platform is also incredibly helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Restoring data which was deleted over a long time period can be a long process to restore as you need to go through each individual backup and combine the difference to accumulate all records deleted within the time period. This has previously caused issues wherein it has taken multiple full days of effort for an administrator to restore data from to Production which had been deleted over 6 months (100+ individual backups to go through individually).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This Salesforce backup solution allows us to efficiently restore data to both Production and Sandboxes. Salesforce doesn't really offer a great backup solution and OwnBackup is by far the easiest tool to use which I've come across. The solution has allows us to easily backup large amounts of data which would have otherwise been lost as the Salesforce recycle bin only holds data for a short period of time. Without this tool, we would have been required to manually rebuild records which had been lost.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As one of the large providers within the Salesforce backup space, Ownbackup should be one of your primary options, requesting a demo with a success manager will allow them to demo the platform to yourself, I would expect you'd be surprised by the number of features provided with the core platform.

Easy to get started, easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the support we received at the very beginning - a representative was setting it all with us, taking us step by step through the process. We then received additional training that was also super helpful. The customer experience was seamless from the very beginning. It has lots of great features that we haven't fully used yet but it gives me a sense of security that I know they are out there. One of the examples that I like for the testing and training purposes - data replication from production to sandbox. This has been a big issue for us so far and it's great it can be resolved with this solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had only one problem so far - with data replication from production to developer sandbox. However, OwnBackup has reached out to us when they noticed the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We monthly releases in our production environment. Until we had OwnBackup, if anything turned to work differently on prod than it did in Sandbox, it was a problem to return to original set up. Right now it's really easy and quick so we can respond to our user's feedback much faster than in the past.
The training and tests are now also easier to conduct in sandbox with data replication function - it provides us more meaningful results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talk with the representatives. They are really great - of course they want to sell the product but they also show you the demo and tell what is possible and what's not. We have 2 orgs and go live with them (+2 full sandboxes) took us about half an hour, being guided by the support during the live call. It was a very easy and pleasant experience.

I like how easy it was to set up. We were up and running in under 1 hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes permissions can mess up with the data backup settings, but as annoying as that is, it is an easy fix.

The ease of use - takes 1 minute to set up a backup.

Sometimes doesn't refresh effectively - so hard to target a specific backup and time combo.

No longer require to do onsite backups. Automated and quick.
