OwnBackup Review - Good Product
What do you like best about the product?
Gives me a few hours back in my week to work on other things, instead of having to manually run the SalesForce backups. As well as they have a knowledge base from their help tab to guide you through any issues you may be having. I appreciate the weekly reporting if the backups succeed or fail and gives you a description of what might need to be fixed in this instance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing/issue I've ran into is having to re-authenticate my service a few times, but other than that I don't really have any issues. Haven't had to do a backup restore, so won't know more about that process until we cross that bridge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just as mentioned before, its a efficiency and time reducer when not having to manually run the backups.

Effective Salesforce backup tool
What do you like best about the product?
Knowing that we can roll back to any point in time with our Salesforce data gives me a lot of peace of mind. The level of granularity it offers gives you a good deal of control over what point in time you want to restore and for which objects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing specifically. I manage the Salesforce administration function in our organization, and my team loves the ease of use and constant data backup that we get with this tool. We went through a massive org migration last year without OwnBackup, and I can see how it would have helped us greatly in alleviating some of the data migration issues that we faced at that time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to restore lost data records, as well as meeting our need for a disaster recovery plan in the event of a catastrophic loss of data.
Good customer service and easy back up
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can login and search for records that are apart of a backup that I maybe looking for but cannot locate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that we cannot use sandbox seeding right now due to the complexity of our org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up our org daily and making sure that we are protected from the lose of metadata.

Getting started is very easy. Simply activate the new backup start sending these requests to your customer.

Great product while replicatng test data in sandbox
What do you like best about the product?
Cloning test data from production to sandbox is great. Also you can manage multiple orgs at the same instance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. Expect if we can granular the role function in the same category for multiple instances. That would be wonderful

Cloning and backing up data is great. We are replicating issues from production and testing production data in sandbox.

Great tool for backing up data and cloning sandbox data.

What do you like best about the product?
I don't have to think about the backup. It just happens and I know we are protected!
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup a bit confusing, but we got help from OwnBackup and they took a lot of time helping us get it setup correctly!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I no longer have to schedule a backup in SF. Also, I can load data from production into the sandbox for testing much easier.

Knowing our data is protected and accessible at any time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes take time to pin-point the specific data you are trying to recover and/or restore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ownbackup helps when mass data imports & updates go sideways. We also have the security blanket of knowing all our data is safe and accessible when we end up needing it.

If you need data backup, there's no better tool.
Reliable for the Price; Used for Salesforce Backups
What do you like best about the product?
Dependable/reliable, straight-to-the-point. We rarely had issues with our scheduled backup of Salesforce. Received weekly emailed reports on successes/failures, very rarely were their failures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very feature-rich. Backup space is a bit expensive for cloud-storage.

Backing up Salesforce (Dev, Test, and Production Environments). Backed up Data and MetaData.

Reliable and easy to setup, would recommend.
A must have for any moderate or larger size Salesforce implementation

What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if there was a native Salesforce app we could expose to allow delegated users the ability to selectively compare records against backups and/or restore records themselves without needing to involve IT (such as a sales operations team). Some competitors have this, but did not stack up nearly as strong in all other areas as OwnBackup did for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to backup our data is the primary problem we needed to solve. This makes our data accessible in the event of Salesforce disasters or outages (like the whole permageddan incident a couple years ago), and also allows us to quickly step back in time if someone deletes or corrupts data on a record by mistake, or simply when someone challenges that something "used to be a different value" - we can now step far back in time and show that value on any given day.
