Perfect Data And Metadata backup tool for Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Ownbackup for a while for our daily data backups and weekly metadata backups from Salesforce.
1. Compare the different backup versions
2. data and metadata restore process
3.sandbox seeding
4. Role based accounts for users, which allows the limited access to handle the data .
5.OwnBackup do backing up your Salesforce Data easy and quick. The last thing you want to do is spend valuable development time building your own backups and having to maintain them. Ownbackup solves that problem in spades.

1. Restoring Data have some disadvantages
2. Each feature cost licenses , added features = $$$

If you're having Data and that need to referred after 5 -10 yrs, Ownbackup is the perfect solution for your need, Easy to use where the UI helps you to navigate through the steps.
-Ownbackup gives a different variations of servers where you you can choose which server fit into your data model and Data compliance end.
-Easy to setup the Users and based on the we can provide the access to perform different tasks in Ownbackup Like , Devops can see all data and metadata fies , where developer can only see some metadata files and can't have access for Data.
- Custom Success Team - A dedicated team will help through the Setup process , user creating , Salesforce Production and sandbox setup with Ownbackup.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface. The customer service is fantastic (Kathleen is really awesome to work with!)

None that I've seen so far. Does exactly what we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run our business off of Salesforce. We need to know our data is secure and accessible in the event of a loss. OwnBackup gives us peace of mind.
OwnBackup Works great for a nonprofit
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is completely separate from your salesforce setup. I also like how easy it is to set up. It literally takes about 30 seconds. It is so simple to use. The price is really good. So far we have had really good customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that once you set it up for your org it would auto-setup for your sandboxes. Other than that I haven't had anything else that I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the need to back up our data and not having to write syncs to a backup service for our SQL database. It also mitigates some risk by having it backed up by a 3rd party instead of trying to do it ourselves.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you are looking for a Salesforce backup. this is a great one to consider because it stores not only the data but the metadata of your records and objects. I only found that in OwnBackup.

I liked own backup. It backs up all the data of all the objects and fields.

We can't create reports of particular objects.

Ease of use. Thorough and can get to the field level.

Nothing so far! It has been a set it and forget it app.

Replacing clunky manual downloads of Salesforce data.
THE BEST INVESTMENT EVER - PROTECT YOUR DATA AND METADATA
What do you like best about the product?
Ownback allows you to backup both data and metadata, which is great for when metadata updates or changes go wrong. The App allows you to configure alert for when records are either updated or deleted, or when a backup process has errors or fails to complete, making the Administrator job easier. You can also compare backup jobs different dates and even from production or sandbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though the app backs up the entire salesforce instance, including community, not all files restoration are supported by the technical team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because Ownbackup allows for both metadata and data backup, your investment is protected from disaster. If something gets deleted by accident, corrupted during an update, it can be restored to its original state.
Ownbackup is probably one of the Best Investment my organization has made in order to protect our Salesforce Instance.

Simple to use and reliable.

Restore data is a bit complex. You have to restore the whole data or nothing, not be able to pick on more granular level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data backup and sandbox seeding are major functionalities we use. They save so much time and speed up our dev process dramatically.
Solid and Polished Backup Product Offers Peace of Mind
What do you like best about the product?
When (not "if") emergency strikes we are covered from data loss by using OwnBackup. The modern user interface is stress free, intuitive, and offers useful features and insights into our Salesforce Org. It is a pleasure to use and actions to take are straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I appreciate that there are inherent limitations to any backup product, given the limits on data passing between Salesforce and OwnBackup (or any other platform) I would like to see a true, 100% thorough backup option that really backs up EVERYTHING. Data and all metadata so the backups are truly complete. Again I know this is not a limitation on OwnBackup's side but nevertheless it's still a limitation for the business user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can search for content in records that have long been deleted from our Salesforce org. The is a feature even Salesforce itself does not have, and makes finding elusive records, old or new, easier to do.

Ease of use. Set it and forget it. Getting email status reports of completed or failed backups.

Nothing really, except the cost of maintaining the subscription.

We no longer wanted to rely on Salesforce for a restore in case of data loss. Now we have an alternative that is easy to access and doesn't cost us big money for a restore.
OWNBackup fills gaps in Salesforce backups, but falls short as a litigation support tool.
What do you like best about the product?
OWNBackup provides needed comfort as to the availability of records for easier export than Salesforce affords, but as this function is often used in a litigation context, OWNBackup's alteration of metadata makes this tool an imperfect solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
OWNBackup does appear to backup all relevant files, but it changes the metadata (document title, dates modified, etc) of these documents, rendering it difficult to ensure that in a litigation production, all documents have been produced (a manual comparison to Salesforce records is still required, which is time consuming and inefficient), and the alteration of metadata can leave a party in violation of a legal hold.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OWNBackup was employed by my organization to provide better or more thorough exports of information required to be produced pursuant to the Freedom of Information Law or in response to demands for records.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As a data retention/backup tool, OwnBackup is an effective tool to use. I would encourage anyone who may rely on OwnBackup for litigation support purposes to evaluate whether the format in which records export from the tool will meet legal needs.
