OwnBackup Delivers Exactly What's Needed!
What do you like best about the product?
There are too many great features to name! The setup for OwnBackup was very easy. The support team sets up a call with you to connect each instance you want to be backed up. Some features that are super useful for our organization includes the abiliity to roll back changes, the ability to back up sandbox instances in addition to production, email notifications to let you know a backup failed or was successful, and my favorite feature, the ability to set up alerts that lets you know when a certain percentage of records are updated. Additionally, the implementation support team is fantastic! The UI is very intuitive and simple to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
OwnBackup can be a bit expensive but it's worth it if it's within the budget. The initial setup to create the permission set for missing permissions can get a little confusing but the support team set up a call and helped us figure it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team runs bulk updates for account planning each year but there are times when some changes need to be reverted. In the past, we've used our data import tool to run the updates and any reverts, but now having OwnBackup is game changing. With just a click of a button, we are able to roll back certain changes when needed. OwnBackup has a Find and Compare feature that has been so useful with the troubleshooting process.

Very effective tool for Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
Always in improvement, very well designed tool. It is a time-saving tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Backup export files are too big to be usable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I often use it to verify what and when changes have been made to understand the reasons for issues. It is straightforward to use and gain regular enhancements.

Nothing for dislike. Sometime backUp break but we don't have the reason.

Seeding the data after sandbox refresh for multiple objects.
Solid backup solution
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to seed sandboxes. Easy to use interface.

Can't use an archived or inactive backup as a seeding source.

Peace of mind that we have a solid backup of our data in case of a disaster.
Hands Down Best Backup and Recovery Tool for Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to start backing up all of your Salesforce environments. It takes just minutes to authenticate to your Salesforce org and start backing, protecting your data and configurations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have depended on OwnBackup for over three years at two different companies. I have never run into any issues with using the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up data with other tools was always so complicated. With previous tools we used, we frequently ran into issues with our backups, and recovery was complicated. OwnBackup allows us to automate backups of all our environments without problem as we enjoy all the co-benefits like using those backups for org comparison or sandbox seeding activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In my very long career working with Salesforce products and vendors, year after year, OwnBackup continuously comes out on top of our evaluation of Backup, Recovery, and Archive utilities. I've evaluated OwnBackup against other tools on two different occasions at two different companies. Each time it checks all the boxes across the board. Customer service always surpasses my expectations.

What do you like best about the product?
Ownbackup allows admins to not only backup their Salesforce systems, but it actually gives you access to the raw data allowing you use it to create your own salesforce dataset.
What do you dislike about the product?
the user interface is not as clean as i would like it to be.

Ownbackup allows us to safely backup all of our Salesforce production and sandbox environments.
So simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to set up. Sandbox seeding tool is super intuitive to use compared to other solutions we have used in the past. The ability to backup multiple Salesforce org and control access is also of great use to us.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, nothing. We did have a few permission issue with the first few back-ups, but that was easily resolved.

Salesforce system backup for our 2 production org. Data access security and easy-to-use sandbox seeding.
Sounded good at first

Simple to setup, and while not always the most stable it mostly works
What do you dislike about the product?
If you pull a company out of SalesForce, you can't get out of the OwnBackup contract; you will have to keep paying for the service (even though there's NOTHING to backup!)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unfortunately, due to OwnBackup's poor business practices, in hindsight, we should have just backed up manually once a week or when needed and avoid the ridiculous contract.
